I actually had a similar experience with Jumia for a 50'' JVC tv...after a week, I logged in to check the status of my order only to see that my order had been cancelled. I called customer service to ask why the order had been cancelled...guess what, they were out of stock. I gave them a huge chunk of my mind. No decency or courtesy to call me. Fortunately, I had selected Pay on Delivery. tai wo: There was a promo by samsung on their 40" Led Tv. which costs 69,000. this promo ended 30 june 2014. |

From www.insta-snitch..com: We just received an email from the Honourable Senator ABS detailing his thoughts for this year against the back drop of last years political shenanigans. Very very LONG...but probably succinct (Insta-snitch was half way through it at time of publishing this, lol). Truth is...like most Nigerians, we see everyone as wearing wolf clothing; in fact, even the sheep now look like wolves. Only God, in His time, will reveal to the masses the true nature, intention and (in)sincerity of our political class Letter in full below: I wish to extend my best wishes to all Nigerians, home and abroad, as we usher in the Year 2014 - the start of a new horizon filled with hope. As we reflect upon the passing of the old year, we ponder on the innumerable challenges our dear country Nigeria has faced, and the sadness of lives needlessly lost as a result of tragic incidents, religious, ethnic or political unrest. We mourn with those who too mourn the loss of a dear brother, mother, sister, father, friend or neighbor who has paid the supreme sacrifice for our existence as one nation, tolerating and accepting one another despite our differences. I salute the Nigerian military and other security forces, who despite facing daunting odds have worked tirelessly to preserve the security of our beloved region. I salute all patriotic Nigerians who have not lost hope and who are still inspired to continue in the sacrifice to keep us democratic and indivisible. In retrospect, the year 2013 was a defining period in the life of our Nation. From the religious, ethnic and political uprisings that have led to wanton loss of lives and properties, kidnapping and extra judicial killings to the degrading oil spillages and oil theft across the Niger-Delta region particularly the Ogoniland, the shutdown of tertiary institutions by Academic Staff Union of Universities which paralyzed academic activities and it's resultant effect academically and socially on our children. All these tragic incidents threatened to challenge our peaceful co-existence, security of lives and property. However despite these challenges, in many ways, 2013 reminded us once again of the unique potential our country has for global greatness. Leading global economist Jim O’Neil has identified Nigeria’s potential, as part of the MINT group, the next fastest growing economies globally. However he also identified a substantial weakness in our current leadership. Indeed, every Nigerian is acutely aware of the potential of our nation, but we all remain incredibly frustrated by our day to day experiences of life in Nigeria, from the lack of security to a lack of electricity; from the lack of the rule of law to corruption at the highest levels. More than ever before, the majority of our people believe that our government and its systems do not work to improve citizens' lives but rather have become a cog in the wheel of change. In fact, there is a growing perception that government neither promotes fairness nor the culture of merit. This frustration has lead many to lose hope. However, I believe that all this too can be a thing of the past and a point of reference of how we as a nation can turn our adversity into strength. Today, more than ever before, I bring you a message of hope, and by the grace of God I believe that it will lead us to a brighter tomorrow... But on a serious note, what do you guys think? Does legalising controlled/prohibited substances such as marijuana reduce its abuse by users? And if you think it does, what about more hardcore psychotropic substances like cocaine, or methamphetamine (popularly known as crystal meth). Is Colorado's move a case of if you can't beat them join them...or is it just a case of cashing in the well known financial value of drug use.
|
I never thought this day would come o!!! Time to book me a Colorado Holiday. So, as of 1st January 2014, Colorado opened America's first legalised marijuana shops selling to members of the public. Reports have it that as many as 20 shops opened for business with many experiencing long queues for the good stuff (pot heads plenty for that place o) First it was Uruguay that legalized it, though still yet to set up a regulatory framework for it. However these guys in Colorado mean business. Regulation is in place and shall be funded from taxes on retail sales, whilst taxes from wholesale transaction shall be used to finance construction of schools. WAIT!!! WHAT!!! Potheads shall indirectly help build schools!!! I'm already getting high on this. Colorado is estimating about $528m in revenue as the industry grows over the year. Now imagine Nigeria legalising Mary J and using it to develop our infrastructure rather than charging us toll fees for new bridges. lol Abeg pass me a blunt. SHIOR!!! For pictures of people queuing up visit the blog below

New Blog launches with absolutely no fanfare or noise (hahahahaha) but promises to provide a steady foul mouthed view on everyone and everything that happens local and international. (MODs you better send this to front page otherwise I will use TB Joshua to curse you in 2014)as the hypocritical nairaland doesn't permit certain words: please type in www.insta-snitch..com Our first post is about the beautiful wedding of Yewande Akinfemiwa, daughter of former Skye Bank MD and current Chairman of Heritage Bank, Chief Akinfemiwa, to her long time boyfriend of about 8years, Korede Fadojutimi. More pics: http://insta-snitch..com/p/yewande-and-korede.html Sticking to Chief Akinfemiwa...and Heritage Bank specifically, rumour has it that the Bank is a melting pot for sworn political enemies. Majority shareholders, through numerous fronts and 'Patient' shell companies, are the Tenants of Aso Rock, on one hand. And in the Northern(ish) confused corner is another shareholder of Kwaran Heritage Dr Bukola Saraki, obviously through his numerous croonies. The Saraki angle obviously stems from the days of Societe Generale Bank (resting in pieces)... Please don't ask me where this came from o! But a certain Niger Delta Prince confirmed the Jonathan angle.

Hi Femmy, I'll send you a mail. I have certain goods to clear from China. Thanks. |
me1234: What of the judge that stole Obanikoro's mandate? Just askingAnd how did the appeal tribunal steal Obanikoro's mandate? Don't blame judges for the stupidity of lawyers who don't know how to follow due process. The lawyer, quite frankly, is a nimrod...how can you withdraw your application for extension of time when that is the only thing that would empower the election tribunal to actually sit beyond the initial 30 day period. The guy should be flogged in public...and the SAN in charge should cover his head in shame for not even reviewing the work of his subordinate. |
kaorama: Good move. GEJ will follow due process to tackle all the ills bedevilling us. He will not cos of emotions behave like OBJ. I like that. How does this have anything to do with the President? Or you think he gave instruction for them to be retired? The NJC is independent of the executive... Abeg no dash monkey banana wey e no pluck. comprende?!!! |
Hi Femi, How much would it cost to ship and clear a 2007 S-550 and a 2004 Murano on Grimaldi from Chicago, containerized and RORO. Thanks |
emalekuo: where are the funds that have already been budgeted there? Make dem see more money to carry go oyinbo land abi?Alas you are nearing the crux of the matter...it seems then that those who embezzle the available funds or are inept with it be gotten rid of. It still does not justify placing a ban on foreign education. The exposure to foreign culture, schools of thought and general thinking should not be trifled with...it is experience that can only enhance the all-round quality of an individual as a person. Another point to be made...I strongly believe that Nigeria's educational system is at a point where it would take years to revamp and reposition on the right path. A plan to 'ban foreign education' whilst simultaneously attempting to fix the system would set us even further back because the period between the ban and when the system is fixed and up to scratch would be spent producing graduates that are devoid of international exposure or experience. It would be tantamount to creating a lost generation of graduates that even Nigerian companies would refuse to employ...and like someone else stated, you cannot apply such a law to only a section of the populace as that would immediately make them disadvantaged |
If this law is ever passed, it will be declared unconstitutional when challenged in court. You can't visit the sins of the Father on the son. What is the correlation between being a public official and having your children school abroad? Bear in mind the phrase public official is very generic and all-encompassing. By my understanding it would mean ANY employee or representative of ANY government institution...so if your father or mother works in NTA or Radio Nigeria or LASTMA or FRSC...you would not be allowed to improve your academic qualifications outside the shores of the country. Absolutely ridiculous!!! RATHER THAN PASS SUCH A LAW WHY NOT PASS A LAW THAT OBLIGATES AT LEAST 10% OF ANNUAL BUDGET BE SPENT ON EDUCATION... And for the bunch of you hailing it as a welcome development, can you honestly say you've have considered the true ramifications of such a law? No would be your obvious answer! STUP!D Senate!!! |
Interesting... Ezra...them go place gag order on you very soon o! |

banku:You really are an absolute joke. and I really hoped you would take time out into researching the AfDB, then again, your aversion to engaging your mind in some research does not surprise me. And because Nigeria is the largest shareholder you think it is a case of Abu using his money to bail himself out. Until you understand how DFIs work, you would never see the standpoint of my argument. You would only continue passing comments based on the distance between your forehead and your nose. I would not help you cure your ignorance when the solution is right before you. You at least know how to operate a computer, use the internet wisely now. google AfDB and inform yourself on how it is funding development projects all across Africa. |
banku:And I am supposed to respond to what exactly in your comment which is hardly coherent. If you do not understand certain terms in my post, look them up on google. I assume you were trying to tell me the funders of AfDB and DFI (assuming you think this is the name of an institution), but you have still failed to say who these 'funders' are. Paris club, what does the Paris club have to do with any of this. If you do not know the structure of the Paris Club and what it did then don't mention it in a situation that does not warrant it. So I am still waiting for you to tell me the funders because you emphatically made reference to have this knowledge, If you are still lacking in the knowledge I might be able to point you in the right direction (then again whether you can tell your left from your right is another issue entirely). visit www.afdb.org and search for member countries and you would realise that those who fund the AfDB are in fact regional African countries and other Western countries. Also be informed that Nigeria is the largest shareholder of the AfDB. If you do not understand, then don't criticize!!! 'My people perish for lack of knowledge', and to some Ignorance really is bliss. 'Mr Cool', hahaha. what a joke!!! And I just read your post again, shame on me for even replying! |
