The ImoShutters first event in Imo state was organized by the Governor of Imo State personal photographer and his cofounder.

Chinonso Bonaventure, a personal photographer an aid to the governor of Imo State, Emeka Ihedioha, has proven that one can be in government and still pursue his or her dreams, despite the exigencies associated with his job.

By founding IMO SHUTTERS Association, Bonaventure has not only united photographers in the state, but he has also sparked their passion and much desire in them. Speaking at the events, Emeh Danie urged the member to find needs in collaborating with each other and also stressed on the importance of having a united body as the IMOSHUTTERS.

The association is cofounded by Chimdiebube Anosike, the CEO of 895 media which the pair also cofounded. The inspiration behind their massive involvement with photography is to insure that in the nearest future, photographers will be given the voice they desired within and outside IMO state. The duo intend to organize annual seminar for photographers in the state under the auspices of IMO Shutters Association.

The association’s inaugural meeting on 17th September 2019, was a gathering of the who is who in the photography industry in IMO state.

This wouldn’t have been possible if Bonaventure and his friend Chimdiebube did not take the bull by the horn.

Both have exhibited passion for the profession and proven to every one that they have the best interests of photographers in IMO state at heart. And this calls for unity of Photographers in the state, Eastern Heartland.

Politics162 Widows Of Slain Civilian JTF Members Get Relief Materials by blazincruz(op): 3:25am On Oct 18, 2016

MAIDUGURI—NO fewer than 162 widows of slain Civilian JTF members in Borno State, yesterday, received food items and set of wrappers donated by chairman of State Emergency Management Agency, SEMA, Engineer Ahmed Satomi.

This is even as SEMA pledged to sponsor education of their children from primary school to tertiary education level. The distribution of the relief items, which took place at the premises of SEMA office in Maiduguri, was well attended by hundreds of serving Civilian JTF members.

Engineer Satomi, while addressing the widows, said two bags of rice, sugar and beans, in addition to a set of wrappers were to be given to each household, as they (widows) lost their bread winners while complementing the effort of the military in the fight against Boko Haram insurgents. He said: “I want to sympathise with you as widows; your husbands, who died in the cause of fighting insurgents, have paid a supreme price to our dear state and the North-East in general.

“We are donating these items to cushion your immediate hardship, and to boost the morale of those who were in the forefront in the fight against remnants of Boko Haram sect.”

One of the widows, who gave her name as Mrs. Halima Mohammed, said she lost her husband in one of the Boko Haram attacks around Sambisa Forest, when their operational vehicle went over landmines last year. She said since then life had been difficult for her, but thanked SEMA and Borno State government for giving her a sense of belonging by periodically donating relief items to cater for her family. She, therefore, urged wives of serving Civilian JTF members to always pray and support their husbands in the fight against insurgents.

Last weekend, Star Boy Records henchman, Ayo Balogun, aka ‘Wizkid’, reportedly fought and lost a battle of supremacy, with his Tanzanian counterpart, Ali Kiba, at the Mombasa Rocks Concert, headlined by American superstar, Chris Brown, in Mombasa, Kenya. Ali Kiba who had been scheduled to hit the stage before Wizkid, expressed his displeasure and dissatisfaction at the arrangement, citing that he is more popular and has a bigger fan base than Wizkid in Kenya, but Wizkid bluntly refuted this claim, stressing that his fan base also supersedes Ali Kiba’s in Kenya. Hence, he believes he should be a best kept secret for a later time at the concert.

The ugly incident which was said to have delayed Chris Brown’s time of appearance on stage, later came to an end as the Tanzanian singer finally won the argument when the organisers of the concert conceded to Wizkid performing before Ali Kiba.

https://d19lga30codh7.cloudfront.net/wp-content/uploads/2013/04/Oshiomhole-Igbinedion-300x182.jpg
Edo State Governor, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, has accused the administration of former Governor of Edo State, Mr Lucky Igbinedion of diverting N4 billion bank loan.

Oshiomhole, in a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Peter Okhiria responding to comments made by Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on the debt profile of Edo State, said, “We make bold to state, and the facts are clear, that in spite of earning the highest revenues from the Federation Account, the PDP states in the South-South region are the most indebted in the region and not Edo State.

“The domestic debt profile released by the DMO as at December 31, 2015, the last time it was issued, lists Delta State as having a debt profile of N320,605 billion; Akwa Ibom had N147,575 billion; Cross River: N115,522 billion; Rivers, N134,9566 billion; Bayelsa N103,374 billion as against Edo which had a far lower profile.

While the other South-South PDP States have continued to amass domestic debts with high-interest rates, Edo is close to completely liquidating its domestic debt. “While Ize-Iyamu continues to peddle his falsehood, we have the record of the N4 billion borrowed by the PDP government of Mr Lucky Igbinedion, with the knowledge of Osagie Ize-Iyamu as Secretary to State Government from Guaranty Trust Bank and Equitorial Trust Bank and paid to an address in Lagos. “Edo people are not deceived. They know that the PDP and its sympathisers have a record of borrowing to steal and not the APC government led by Comrade Adams Oshiomhole. “Our records are open and we run a transparent government. No amount of planted or concocted stories by hack writers will distort the facts.”

HealthTop 6 Vitamins For Women by blazincruz(op): 8:07pm On Apr 30, 2016
Today’s women are health-conscious and prefer to follow a healthy diet plan. A healthy diet plan is one that includes the right combination of vitamins. Women of every age, weight and activity level need to consume a wide variety of vitamins to have optimal health and prevent different types of health problems.
Vitamins are organic compounds that help different parts of the body function properly. Each of the different vitamins performs a specific function. A deficiency of needed vitamins can contribute to some serious health problems. This is why it is essential to get vitamins from the foods you eat or, if necessary, from vitamin supplements.

1. Vitamin A

Vitamin A contains antioxidant properties. Women of all ages need vitamin A as it aids in building and strengthening bones, teeth, soft tissue, skin and mucous membranes. Vitamin A also reduces the risk of chronic illness, improves vision, slows down the aging process and boosts the immune system.
Foods that are rich in vitamin A include carrots, cantaloupe, pumpkin, apricots, tomatoes, watermelon, guava, broccoli, kale, papaya, peaches, red peppers, spinach, eggs, liver, milk and fortified cereals.

Some of the best foods for a healthy dose of vitamin B6 are fortified cereals, avocados, bananas, meats, beans, fish, oatmeal, nuts, seeds, and dried fruits.
4. Vitamin B7

In fact, it promotes hair growth and helps treat brittle nails. Also, vitamin B7 is required for bone growth and bone marrow and helps maintain normal cholesterol levels.

Health6 Home Remedies For Colds And Coughs In Babies by blazincruz(op): 2:58pm On Apr 30, 2016
Every year hundreds of infants and small children suffer from colds and coughs, mainly due to their weak immune systems. In fact, within the first year of life, most babies will have up to seven colds.
Children pick up the various infection-causing viruses through contact with an infected person or contaminated air or surfaces.
Some symptoms of colds and coughs in babies are a congested or runny nose, a low-grade fever of up to 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit, sneezing, coughing, loss of appetite, irritability and difficulty sleeping.

Dealing with a sick child can be really difficult for parents as well as caretakers.
As the American Academy of Pediatrics advises against giving cough and cold medications to children under 6 years old because of potentially fatal side effects, it is best to stick to natural methods. Home treatments will ease their symptoms and strengthen their immune systems.
However, be sure to call your doctor if your child has a temperature higher than 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit and symptoms that last more than a week. Always consult your doctor if your baby is younger than 3 months old and has a fever.
Here are the top 10 home remedies for colds and coughs in babies.
1. Sponge Bath

To reduce a fever in small babies, give them a cool water bath or sponge bath to regulate body temperature.
A bath has the added benefit of relaxing your child and it will help them sleep better, which is essential for faster recovery.
For small babies, give a sponge bath 2 or 3 times a day. Soak a washcloth in room temperature tap water, wring out the excess water and then sponge the armpits, feet, hands and groin to reduce their temperature.
Another option is to place a cold, damp washcloth on your baby’s forehead and change it every few minutes.
Older children can take a cool bath or shower.
Note: Avoid using very cold water, which may cause the internal body temperature to rise.

2. Lemon

Lemon is another good home remedy. Being rich in vitamin C, lemon helps boost the immune system and assists the body in fighting colds and flu.
Its antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties also help reduce symptoms, such as sore throat, runny nose and coughing
Put the juice and peels from 4 lemons and 1 tablespoon of ginger slices in a pan.
Add enough boiling water to cover the ingredients.
Cover and let it steep for 10 minutes.
Strain off the liquid.
Dilute this liquid with an equal amount of warm water and add raw honey for taste.
Give your child this hot lemonade to drink, a few times a day.
Note: For babies younger than 1 year, add sugar instead of honey for taste.

3. Honey

Honey is a safe remedy for children age 1 and older who are suffering from the common cold or a cough. It has high antibacterial, antioxidant and immune-boosting properties that help ease coughing, soothe a sore throat and kill the bacteria causing the infection.
Mix 2 teaspoons of raw honey and 1 teaspoon of lemon juice. Give it to your child every few hours for symptom relief.
You can also have your child swallow a spoonful of buckwheat honey several times a day.
A glass of warm milk with honey can relieve a dry cough and reduce chest pain.
Note: Never give honey to babies younger than 1 year, as it contains bacteria that can cause infantile botulism.

4. Warm Chicken Soup

For children older than 1 year, warm chicken soup is a great option when suffering from a cold or cough. It is light and nutritious and can help relieve congestion. The antioxidants in it speed up the healing process.
In addition, chicken soup improves the function of protective cilia in the nasal cavity that prevent contagions from entering the body.
A 2000 study published in the Chest journal suggests that chicken soup contains a number of substances with beneficial medicinal activity for upper respiratory tract infections.
Serve your children homemade chicken soup using organic chicken and vegetables, such as carrots, beet root and spinach. You can feed babies chicken soup 2 or 3 times a day.

5. Oranges

The vitamin C in oranges helps increase the production of white blood cells that fight off the cold-causing germs. It also boosts the immune system to alleviate symptoms, such as coughing, sore throat and runny nose.
For children age 2 years or older, give them 1 to 2 glasses of orange juice daily. For younger babies, dilute orange juice with an equal amount of warm water and give it to them to drink at regular intervals.
Older children can be given oranges to eat to increase their vitamin C intake.

6. Ginger

Ginger is another very popular natural cure for colds and coughs due to its anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, antiviral and antitussive (cough suppressant) properties.
It is also effective at inducing sweating and expelling heat, which in turn relieves mild fever. In addition, it boosts the immune system to help speed up recovery.
Put 6 cups of water, ½ cup thinly sliced ginger and 2 cinnamon sticks in a pan.
Simmer on low heat for 20 minutes, then strain it.
Add raw honey or sugar and give it to your child to drink several times a day. For babies younger than 1 year, you can dilute the liquid in warm water before giving it to them.
Older children can also be given ginger slices or ginger candies to chew.

PoliticsMass Defection Hits PDP In Ondo by blazincruz(op): 1:32am On Apr 30, 2016
THE ruling Peoples Democratic Party PDP in Ondo state has suffered a set back as two former commissioners, Local government Chairmen and two former Lawmakers defected to the opposition All Progressive Congress APC. They claimed that over 5000 of former PDP chieftains dumped the ruling party for the opposition Party.

The former commissioners include that of former Adult, Technical and Vocational Education Mrs Kehinde Momoh and that of Local government and Chieftaincy Affairs Mr. Tayo Oluwatuyi. Others include former members of the state House of Assembly Bamido Omogbehin and Oyebo Aladetan‎ and the former Chairmen of local governments include Prince Olu Falolu, Tobi Akinlalu, Bailey Arohunmolase. Other former political office holders under the present government who jumped ship included Kasali Obanoyen, Chief Ajani Oladipupo, Mr Yele Akinya and Segun Ogodo.

Speaking on behalf of defectors, Arohunmolase attributed their joining the APC to failed promises of the PDP led government in the state. Arohunmolase said they are set to work in line of the APC directives at winning the governorship in November this year.

The Chairman of the APC, Isaacs Kekemeke at the ceremony held at the party secretariat in Akure described the defection” as the end of PDP’s hold on the politics of the state. Kekemeke promised to give all members equal right and level playing field to achieve their desires.

He stated that the party would put in place measures towards ensuring victory in the November polls and urged Nigerians to be patient with President Muhammadu Buhari led Federal government. Reacting to the defectors, the Publicity Secretary of the ruling PDP‎, Banji Okunomo described their action as good riddance to bad rubbish. Okunomo pointed out that they have no political relevance in their constituencies hence the reason they jumped ship at this crucial time. He added that ‎the defectors would be disappointed when they get to the opposition party. The Publicity Secretary assured the party members that the November election would separate the men from the boys.

See what she shared on her Facebook page :

“YOU are not man that YOU should lie…over 10 years ago, God gave me a dream bigger than my capacity, I have never tried to figure it out, I serve a great and mighty God, I just knew I had to wait for the right time… He told me I won’t have to beg for it, neither will I pay my way to success(and my pride began, yes I’m proud, I have the backing of the Greatest God) all I needed to do was just to rest and believe in his mighty words. I have been told severally to send cake samples to some celebrities for hype(yes it’s good when you are building a brand) but I don’t believe in it, I believe if my work is good enough, with God, kings, celebrities will sought after my brand not for self pity (if I have to send to a top person I admire, i’ll do with no strings attached, I do some anonymously anyways, you might be the next person..lol)"

have gotten several requests from media houses to pay for news paper publications/Tv interviews so that I can be featured (it’s good for business but I won’t do that maybe for now). It has never been about fame and quick money(those who know me can testify) I believe in process, I know God wants to take me through a part only him will take glory for… some people ask how can a self taught cake maker be this good? Well I have told you severally I’m God taught, I don’t rely on my own understanding, my self and the Holy Spirit hold hands when I’m working on a cake ( this is my secret o trust me). So I was contacted last week to Make a Cake for the Queen’s Birthday Party, I had no idea what the design would be until yesterday evening… I was told dignitaries have been taking pictures of the cake at the British deputy high commissioner’s residence, A great achievement! To God alone be the glory. I’m not where God wants me to be yet but I’m grateful I’m following through bitter-sweet process.

Happy 90th birthday to Her Royal Highness Queen Elizabeth ll

Politics2016 Budget: At Last, Presidency, National Assembly Reach Truce by blazincruz(op): 11:25pm On Apr 26, 2016
By Levinus Nwabughiogu ABUJA – At last, the Executive arm of the government and the National Assembly have resolved their lingering face-off over the 2016 budget, giving hope that any moment from now, president Mohammed would sign the document into law.

https://d19lga30codh7.cloudfront.net/wp-content/uploads/2016/04/BuharibudgetSaraki-e1461706961694.jpg

A truce was brokered between the two arms of government at a meeting between the president, vice president Yemi Osinbajo and the leadership of the national assembly led by the senate president, Dr. Bukola Saraki held at the Presidential Villa, Abuja on Tuesday night. Earlier in the day, the Speaker, House of Representatives, Mr. Yakubo Dogara had met behind closed doors with president Buhari on the same matter.

Speaking after the nocturnal meeting, the senate president, Saraki told State House Correspondents that the controversial issues about the budget had been laid to rest, assuring that in a matter of days, the Appropriation Bill would be given the backing of the law for onward implementation by the federal government. On the outcome of the meeting He said:

“We just finished a meeting with the president and VP. We came to let them know some of the solutions that we found in moving the budget process forward and we are happy to say that we have agreed on the way forward and we believe that this process will be completed in matter of days rather than weeks. So, it is good news to Nigerians and all of us. We have found a way forward and in a meter of days the budget will be ready for president’s assent.”

By Perez Brisibe

JESSE—TENS of youths, weekend, invaded a Pentecostal church in Jesse, Delta State brutalizing worshippers during a service over an allegation of infidelity levelled against the presiding bishop of the church.

The cleric, (name withheld), the bishop of Mountain of Prayer Ministry, was alleged to have have slept with the wife of the President General of Idjerhe Clan Development Union, ICDU, Chief Austin Omonode, under the guise of rendering special prayers for her.

According to a member of the church, who spoke on condition of anonymity, “they were having their normal Sunday School service when the youths in their numbers stormed the church looking for the bishop, who was absent during the service and they ended up destroying property in the church.”

Commenting on the matter, Chief Omonde, who was earlier invited for questioning by security operatives in the area, denied sending the youths to attack the church or the Bishop. Accusing the Bishop of having extramarital affairs with his wife, Chief Omonode said: “The Bishop has been sleeping with my wife for the past two years and I reported the matter to the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, yet he continued in his heinous act.”

The Bill creates a Council to be chaired by a Chairman to be appointed by the President. The Council shall have the power to take your land anywhere the land is located in the country and then pay you compensation. Your land, when taken, shall be assigned to herdsmen who shall use your land for grazing purposes. This is the Sudan downloading right here in Nigeria. On April 18, Mr. Gabriel Ogbonnaya wrote the following on his Facebook wall: “I decided to read a copy of the National Grazing Reserve Bill and I was surprised at what I saw. The Bill creates a Commission to be chaired by a Chairman to be appointed by the President, to be confirmed by the Senate. The Commission shall have the power to take your land anywhere the land is located in the country and then pay you compensation. Your land, when taken, shall be assigned to herdsmen who shall use your land for grazing purposes. They shall bring cows to the land and you shall lose the land permanently to those cattlemen. If you feel that the Commission was not right to take your land, you can go to court but before you go to court, you must first of all notify the Federal Attorney General of your intention to sue the Commission. Apart from notifying, you must get the consent and authority of the Federal Attorney General before you can sue. So that means that if the Attorney General refuses to give his consent to the suit, you have lost your land forever to the herdsmen. And this law, when passed, shall apply to the whole country, so it means that your land in the village or anywhere is not safe. The National Grazing Reserve Commission would have the power to take away your land from you anytime they want and pay you whatever they want as compensation (even when you don’t want to sell, and remember that, for you to get compensation, you must have documents showing or proving ownership). So I think that we all in the South-West, South-South and South-East must rise up and reject this Bill. We must do all things to force our National Assembly members against passing that Bill into law. That Bill is a deliberate attempt to take our lands and hand the lands over to the Fulani cattlemen since it is only the Fulanis that rear cattle in Nigeria. That law, when passed, shall fulfil the directive of Uthman Dan Fodio and other northern leaders to take over other parts of Nigeria. I implore you to use all available means to implore your senator and Rep not to pass that law. That law will destroy Nigeria. All over the world, ranches are established and used to rear cattle. The farmers buy land and put their cattle there. There is no country where the land of the citizens are compulsorily acquired and given to others. This is evil, and designed to favor the Fulanis where the President comes from. We must resist the passage of that Bill into law to save Nigeria, and to protect our future generations”. This is Yugoslavia and Rwanda unfolding right here in Nigeria. On April 18, Mr. Duru Collins wrote the following on his Facebook wall: “This National Grazing Reserve Bill, if passed into law, will just mark the beginning of apartheid in our country. When the government of Zimbabwe collected land from the white people who naturalised there, the whole world worked against President Robert Mugabe.

Sanctions were stiffened against his regime even though the whites in Zimbabwe were not African by origin. In our country today, there are people that are not Nigerians by origin and these people are making law to take over our inheritance. This nation will burn once this law is passed”. This is Lebanon and Zimbabwe downloading right here in Nigeria. On April 19, Mr. Oyinemi Nicholas Endeley wrote the following on Facebook: “The National Grazing Reserve Bill is the ticket to kill us ALL down South. This is not the time to sit and watch evil triumph over good. I have called the senator representing me and I have spoken common sense to him! He KNOWS what this is all about NOW. Listen people of God, it’s time to get angry! You will come to understand how devilish Buhari’s APC government is the moment you realise they are talking about a Bill that will protect the Fulani militants who, according to the Global Terror Index, are ‘the 4th deadliest terrorist group’ in the world, and neglect tens of thousands of victims that have suffered gory attacks by these daredevils. This government is gradually telling us their priorities and it’s clear the lives of the southerners are not their priority.

THIS GOVERNMENT IS EVIL. The ploy is on. They want to send the Trojan horses to our walls. They want to start the war from our lands. They will fail. They can’t send their militants here in the guise of herdsmen. Those herdsmen don’t own those cows, the rich Fulanis do. And I know their plans. Subsequently I will tell you guys more, you will be shocked. But for now, please get on your phones and call those representing you. Tell them not to accept this Trojan horse. It will burn our region, it will kill our children’s future. Let idiots that are southerners keep supporting APC. They don’t care about you, they don’t. You will BURN if their plans work!” This is colonial India (before she won her independence from the British and broke three ways into Pakistan, Bangladesh and India) downloading right here in Nigeria. Finally in an article, titled, ‘’The Outlaws Of Islam’’ (Premium Times, April 15, 2016), I wrote the following: “And if they are still in any doubt about where all this is heading in the Nigerian context, they should consider the following: On December 30,1964, Mallam Bala Garba told the West African Pilot newspaper: ‘The conquest to the sea is now in sight. When our God-sent Ahmadu Bello said some years ago that our conquest will reach the sea shores of Nigeria, some idiots in the South were doubting its possibility.

Today, have we not reached the sea? Lagos is reached. It remains Port-Harcourt. It must be conquered and taken’’. This is an eloquent expression of radical Islam, with its pervasive use of violence as a tool of conquest and subjugation, in its purest and most obvious form. Inspired and equipped with this supporter of APC philosophy and ethos, the whole of core northern Nigeria was conquered by Sheik Usman Dan Fodio through jihad. Given the activities of Boko Haram and the Fulani herdsmen in our country today, it appears that some in our shores are still interested in continuing that jihad. They wish to continue where Usman Dan Fodio stopped and they wish to ‘’dip the Koran in the Atlantic ocean’’.

Their latest attempt is the introduction and proposal of what is known as the National Grazing Reserve Bill which will give the Fulani herdsmen the right to claim other peoples land all over the country and which will empower them by law to create their own settlements and communities in the territory of others. Brazilian grass Worse still, under that law, the government will be compelled to fund those settlements and put all that they need in terms of infrastructure in place for them. That is why our Minister of Agriculture is now talking about importing Brazilian grass for the Fulani herdsmen and their cattle. This subtle and exceptionally brilliant attempt to infiltrate and conquer by guile and assimilation reminds me of the frightful laws that were put in place in the old wild western prairies of 19th century America. Those laws gave the white settlers rights over the lands of the indigenous Red Indians and saw the Indians themselves subjected to genocide and ethnic cleansing and herded into barren reservations that were not fit for human habitation. It was in this way that the “wild west” was conquered and the once proud and noble war-like Indian tribes of the western prairies were subjugated and subdued.

Sadly our legislators in the National Assembly from the South and the Middle Belt simply do not appreciate and cannot comprehend the serious implications of what they are doing by supporting this legislation and neither will the consequences of their naivety and folly be suffered by their constituents until it is far too late. If that law is ever passed and implemented, two years from that time, we will regret it deeply as a nation because it will result in nothing but conflict, chaos and strife between the Fulani herdsmen and settlers on the one hand and the local indigenous population on the other.

The Jos tragedy The tragedy that unfolded in Jos, Plateau State between the indigenous Christian Beroms and the settler Muslim Fulani, for many years, is a graphic example of what will be replicated all over the South and the Middle Belt between the Fulani and the various local indigenous populations if that law is ever passed and implemented. As a matter of fact, it will be far worse than anything that Jos ever saw. The National Grazing Reserve Bill will not result in enhancing unity and peace but instead it will result in division, bloodshed, carnage and chaos”. My conclusion? This is Iraq, Syria and Libya unfolding right here in Nigeria. When you create a conflict which has its roots in religion, ethnicity, land rights, the attempt to marginalize, dominate, subjugate and conquer others and the quest for liberation and freedom from slavery and bondage all mixed into one, you are toying with a conflagration that will not only be simply horrendous and that will not only affect the whole of Africa but will also last for the next 50 years. Let me be clear: The greatest evil that we are confronted with in Nigeria today is the National Grazing Reserve Bill. It is more evil than anything that we have ever seen before. It is more insidious and dangerous than anything that we can possibly imagine. It will do more harm to us than Boko Haram and the Nigerian civil war put together and it will result in open war. I am speaking prophetically and I am saying this under the leading and guidance of the Holy Spirit. We must stop this cantankerous and divisive Bill from seeing the light of the day and being made into law.

There are some things that are bigger, greater and more important than partisan politics and this is one of them. We must all stand together regardless of our political affiliation and stop this evil Trojan horse from being smuggled into our ranks by those that seek to subjugate and conquer us. We must resist those that seek to strip us of our self-respect, self-worth, liberty and dignity. We must stand up against those that seek to destroy us and rob us of our faith and our ancestral lands. We must say ‘’never” to those that seek to belittle and enslave us and that are hell bent on reducing us to nothing even within our own shores. May God help our people and our country and may He deliver us from evil.

Tall and light-skinned actress, Bella Ebinum would unquestionably make heads turn when it comes to her beauty and sex appeal. In her revelation on how she interprets romantic roles, the Limpopo Chicks star confessed actors find her a shade too hot to handle on set as some of them lose their cool to their emotions. “I zero my mind when acting a romantic scene so I won’t be turned on. I make it look so real to the extent that some actors get turned on. Whenever this happens, I am happy that I am interpreting my role well and I feel like a real woman.”

PoliticsNigerians Paying For Sins Of PDP — Tinubu, S-east APC by blazincruz(op): 2:22am On Apr 04, 2016
By Emmanuel Aziken, Political Editor & Charles Kumolu ABEOKUTA — Nigerians are paying part of the sins of the 16-year rule of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, through the lingering fuel crisis in the country, All Progressives Congress, APC, national leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, said yesterday. Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu Tinubu’s assertion on the fringes of a reconciliation meeting of APC South-West leaders at the residence of Aremo Segun Osoba, was also echoed by the APC South-East caucus at an interactive meeting at Egede, Udi Local Government Area of Enugu State. Tinubu said: “For 16 good years, PDP destroyed the country.

We should not be lamenting about petroleum queues today if they had seen what is necessary and done what is necessary for this country. “We can’t be emotional and in self denial.

If they had done Awolowo Road, if they had done Lagos/Ibadan Expressway, if they put priority on our rails, if they put priority on electricity generation and distribution, we will not be in this mess that we are today.

“Nigerians are impatient for what? I research Nigeria, they just want to see the direction of the economic policy and want to be certain of the future that we will not continue in the direction of leaderless, directionless and hopelessness of the past 16 years.” One year not enough to rectify the rot Spokesman of the South-East caucus, Mr. Osita Okechukwu, who echoed the point also at an interactive meeting said: “We are paying, unfortunately, for the sins of PDP. I remember vividly in 2010, when Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, then Finance Minister and Coordinator of the Economy, announced to the whole world the award of $23 billion Greenfield Refineries, to a Chinese company. “The refineries were to be located at Bayelsa, Lagos and Kogi states.

There was jubilation nationwide. If they had completed the refineries, today we won’t be talking of scarcity or astronomical increase in fuel pump price. They squandered the money and put Nigerians in harm’s way.” While assuring that the problems were being fixed Okechukwu, however, said one year was not enough for the administration to rectify the rot.

Among those present at the interactive session were Mrs. Juliet Ibekaku, Deputy Governorship candidate of APC, Philip Eze, senatorial candidate of the party, local government and Ward chairmen.

Challenged that Nigerians were running out of patience with the new administration, Okechukwu said: “We can’t stop pointing out the unconscionable wreckage the PDP unleashed on our economy in the last 16 years. The wreckage keeps popping up at each junction, despite the efforts being made to suppress it.”

PoliticsBreaking News: Court Orders Release Of Dasuki’s Fomer Aide by blazincruz(op): 1:09pm On Mar 14, 2016
By Ikechukwu Nnochiri ABUJA – An Abuja High Court sitting at Jabi has ordered the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, and the Nigerian Army, to forthwith, release Col.

Nicholas Ashinze, a former aide to the erstwhile National Security Adviser, NSA, Col. Sambo Dasuki (retd.), who has been in detention since December 23, 2015. ‎In a judgment on Monday, Justice Yusuf Haliru, directed the respondents to immediately release the applicant on self-recognition, saying his detention for over three months without trial, was “‎illegal, wrongful, unlawful and constituted a blatant violation of the fundamental rights of the applicant”. The court also ordered immediate release of documents and items the anti-graft agency seized from the house of the applicant. Col. Sambo Dasuki ‎Justice Haliru blasted both the EFCC and the Army which he said acted as if Nigeria was still under military ‎dictatorship.

“The EFCC is a creation of the ‎law. The court will not allow it to act as if it is above the law. It is remarkable to note that the motto of the EFCC is that nobody is above the law, yet they are acting as if they are above the law. “The EFCC Act is not superior to the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. The respondents in this matter have not behaved as if we are in a civilised society.

They have behaved as if we are in a military dictatorship ‎where they arrest and release persons at will. ‎ “The respondents, I must be bold to say- the EFCC and the Army- have behaved like illiterates”, the Judge added. ‎ He said the constitution stipulated that any person so detained should be charged to court within reasonable time not exceeding two months from the date of arrest.

Justice Haliru stressed that under section 36 of the 1999 constitution, as amended, an accused person is deemed innocent until his guilt is established. ‎ “Why has the 1st respondent kept the applicant without bringing him to court? Why was the applicant, being a serving military officer who could be easily reached, not granted administrative bail? Or is it that the applicant has been found guilty and already serving his jail term?‎ “Nobody should be subjected to the whims and caprices of the EFCC.

The essence of the rule of law and constitutional provisions is to ensure a just balance between the ruler and the ruled, between the powerful and the weak. “Though the EFCC has the responsibility to investigate financial crime, it must however conduct its operations in accordance with the rule of law. “The court is empowered to guard against i‎mproper use of power by any member of the society or agency, EFCC inclusive.‎ “The detention of the applicant, for all intent and purposes, is not just unfair but unfortunate”, the court held. Details later.
