Nice talk Tpia, I've got no problem with GEJ or even his saucy wife. What I have problem with is the PDP, the same caucus that surrounded Obj and Yar Adua are still in play. No matter how credible GEJ looks a lot of corruption would still be blooming. Change is what we need, if the polls dont bring forth the change then the people's voice should. But poor Nigerians, so content with pain. Fela said it all "suffering and smilling" |
rasputinn:God's will?? It's like you have a portrait of Obj which you bow to every morning. That' your god and GEJ is his will |
good she went to jail, if not she might have been still been advocating for fashion and other futile stuff. |
This would be an ideal alliance. But repulsive tothose with extremist Islamic and christian views |
True talk, India is doing the same http://news.google.com.ng/news/url?sa=t&ct2=en_ng%2F3_0_s_2_0_t&ct3=MAA4AkgCUABgAWoFZW5fbmd6AXc&usg=AFQjCNHt8kGdlj0z7i2jddmpJLybD3Ob_Q&sig2=5Xb0fzK7ZztAXMEhHArwlg&cid=17593854864680&ei=pppGTbiQLKC4jAeCyZGDAQ&rt=HOMEPAGE&vm=STANDARD&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ndtv.com%2Farticle%2Findia%2Fegypt-crisis-special-plane-brings-back-320-indians-to-mumbai-82537 But come on, there's no war in Egypt, simply people protesting for a regime change. If you as an foreigner stays put and dont join the protest, they're really nothing to fear. What we have to fear is the fragile situation of Jos, Borno and the Niger Delta. |
tpia*:There is a high-rate of unemployment, gross corruption in government and government agencies, police brutality, high insecurity, poor governmental strategies, budget misappropriation and a lot more . These are the same factors that affected Tunisia. But we are okay with it that way, as long as our head of state is not wearing a military uniform, we have adapted to the mentality that things are changing. yeah some things are changing for the worse. Now the wind of change has blown over to Egypt and things really seem to be changing. I'm hope it blows on us to to send our leaders a message that we are watching them and are obviously not stupid. |
Jonathan supporters should use managing the ill situation of the Jos crisis as a litmus test of judging his performance. I'm beginning to think we have a president who is not performing. WTF soldiers shooting at students, if the Nigerian situation ever turns to that of Egypt, expect many dead cos our forkin police and soldiers would kill protesters like there was a war |
These are the three I recommend Cobranet - Super fast internet speed, reliable never dissapoints you at any time. The only problem with them is that they charge per bandwidth usage. If you download alot, Cobranet is sure not the best for you cos you'd have to pay more Multilinks - Very fast, pretty reliable and unlimited bandwidth. They are not as fast as Cobranet but a bit faster and more reliable that starcomms Starcomms - Very fast with unlimited bandwidth. Actually it is what I am using now. I would rate it far above average Using GSM networks, they are okay but not as fast as CDMA networks or fulltime ISPs like Cobranet or DirectonPC. they also charge per bandwidth which is quite distressing to me. |
i'm glad nobody on this forum is buying this idiocy. I see no reason why I should buy the notion of a just one man and his handful of followers over billions of reasonable stable-minded people |
This guy's got con-blood running through him. |
Pls forward the details. thx |
Could you give me details? I am interested |
God is a mystery that science cannot demysitfy |
@ tpia* It's like the Arab world is now facing a backlash of poor government and improper democracy. If Mubarak keeps ruling Egypt, there's going to be serious instability there. Here in Nigeria, we prefer suffering and smiling. |
@ X-factoria, You're right. This guy's prophesies are so erratic. There was a time when he said the axe of God would be over Obasanjo like a King in the bible. His radicalism pushes him to saying a lot of trash at times @ Formebyme, Obj's a true christian. There are many true christians in the national assembly and senate. |
I see this man Bakare as someone who has a very strong passion for Nigeria. That's why his religious teachings usually dribble into politics and governmental issues. If his passion pushes him in a position to serve the country I see nothing bad in it. He's a controversial and radical pastor and I do respect him for who he is |
@ manmustwac, I am not in support of what the frustrated man did, what I am in support of is the afterward demonstrations, strike actions and non-violent riots that the people of Tunisia held up against their government consistently untill they unseated their present rulership. You are right that Nigerians pretty scared people, but we have to stand up to our fears to push for a change. That's my cause About paying pastors to pray for a miracle, I think your idea is a bit shallow in the sense that the prayers of pastors are not the only prayers that get answered. Each individuals prayers can make a change. And in the present Nigerian situation where you can't even trust your pastors cos of the occultic and greedy devices they employ, this means is certainly not the way out. |
manmustwac:Are you a catholic or someone who attributes oppresion and suffering as work of fate? God will not just bring a revolution upon you, He would require your actions to justify such. In the revolutions in the bible, did God send His angels down to fight the change or He used humans like you and I to facilitate it? |
No I'm not a seller. Even though it is gotten free, whoever got it must have gone through some tussles and if he is charging for it, there's certainly nothing wrong. When its wrong is when a ridiculous fee is demanded. If your opinion is for real then pirated cds of softwares should not be sold in computer village. they should be freely distributed |
akemzo007:U have a problem with doing business on this site? |
I feel your opinions. But could we relate the situation to Nigeria. We have the same problem of poor leadership and excessive greed of government officials. Human right abuse is worse here. But can the masses, 90% of the population who are downbeaten by these government ills provoke a change in government like staged in Tunisia? |
For those who have been following developments in the global world, I bet you must have come across the media-enticing issue of the Tunisian revolution. For those who might want to have an idea, I suggest you visit the wikipedia page http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2010%E2%80%932011_Tunisian_protests for a full detail. The recent Tunisian revolution was borne our of high rates of poverty, corruption, unemployment, human right abuse/restrictions and other features of a poor democratic government. It began with a man, Mohamed Bouazizi torching himself in frustration after government officials confiscated his cart from which he made a living for his family. It was later followed by street protests, which led to the death of about 78 people. The great thing about this protest was the successful toppling of the Tunisian government that made them witness 3 head of states within a month. It also led to wide range arrest of former governemnt officials for corruption and interrogation of elites in the society which are invovled. This process is presently in progress as at this time. TUNISIANS HAVE CERTAINLY GAINED THE WORLD' S RESPECT. Looking at the protests that has brought a new fate on this North African nation, I cannot help but look back at our country, Nigeria. I doubt if Tunisia has as much problems as Nigeria when it comes to corruption, poor condition of living, unemployment and human rights abuse. If we are to view facts clearly, we would realise that Nigeria's situation is much worse and things are not changing for the better. Corruption is still at its highest levels. If you ask me, I'll say Nigeria is in more need of a revolution of this kind than Tunisia. But the question is that can the masses unite, make an outright protest that would voice our anguish to the world and chase these hooligans in power? If it were successful in Tunisia, I believe it can be successful anywhere in the world. It's up to we the people to decide whether we should languish in undeserved situations or make a strong move for a change. |
Good and brave strides though rare in this part of the world deserve applauds. I'm giving mine to him |
What are your conditions for part time employment? |
