Sounds like MMM to me
so if you have a shop for instance, and you buy let's say indomie and bread and small provision for sale in a good location you can't make 30% in a month? Not that that's what the money would be used for. But there are many things one can do that would generate more than that returns monthly.

What we know limits us and that which we don't know is bigger than us.

Let's just do what we all want but I'll never be satisfied by conventions. I'll break limits.

Not everything you don't know, understand or personally do is MMM.

I'm talking about physical businesses with verifiable location.

Wish you the best my brother

RomanceRe: My Sister Is About To Marry An Osu Man, About To Commit A Serious Taboo by Blazinglevel: 12:56pm On Nov 24, 2019
TheSkyIsBlue:
My Sister Is About To Commit A Serious Taboo All In The Name Of Marriage

Hello Nairalanders!

Please ignore any typographical or grammatical error. I just want to pour it out the way it is in my heart.

I am seriously confused and worried about what is happening in my family and I will appreciate your candid advice.

There is this guy my sister has been in a relationship with for over seven years now. so he actually asked her hand in marriage and decided to come see my parents for introduction, about some months ago. My family decided to take their time to find out more about the guys family background as is required in Igbo tradition.

After several questions asked, my family came to find out that the guy is an Osu (an outcast). On knowing this, everybody in my family told my sister to cut ties with him and discontinue the relationship because it is a big taboo to get married to an Osu in my place . If you do, no family member or friend will attend your wedding or even have anything to do with you again.

But my sister refused to listen to anybody claiming she really loves the guy, that they have been together for a very long time and that she is not getting younger anymore (mind you, she is in her early thirties). Everybody (my parents and extended family members) tried to talk her out of it but she still didn't listen.

After much pressure and her continues insistence, my dad decided to give them his blessings, although against his wish (my dad is actually not really deep into tradition). Now the guy has done all the traditional rights and paid for her dowry. Their wedding is coming up soon.

But the problem now is, according to tradition and from what I heard, if she was allowed to go with the guy without my dad giving them his blessings, the stigma would have just been on her and she alone would have been considered Osu, since she insisted to continue with the marriage. But now that my dad has given them his blessings, it is considered that all of us (her siblings) will also have that link of Osu too. Except if she decide to put an end to the relationship and discontinue with the wedding, which I don't think my sister is ready to do.

I am really worried and depressed about it, cause I don't want anything that will affect me tomorrow when I want to get married just because of my sister's mistakes.

I will really like to get opinions and sincere advice especially from those that are familiar with tradition, cause I'm seriously bothered. Thanks!
please help me before you confuse. Ask our osu inlaw whether he has them fine fine osu sisters. We like them too with spicy specs.

Bro, wise up. That was how few years ago those that know more than me came in with birdflu. If you see what went down between peoples birds and eggs and me, youll understand why birds and egg see me and run. Not saying there was no danger but i was more dangerous than danger.

My point exactly is thank God for the love your sis found and rejoice with them and let go of the things holding us back in these part of the world.

Hahaha why oyinbo sabi something like this. They even entered your shrines and laughed at your gods as the force them into sha sha bag go keep for museum to teach their children THIS IS WHAT THOSE BLACK MONKEYS WORSHIP

In btw, DO YOU REALLY BELIEVE IN CHRIST?

Is it something I can learn online without being guidedhuh
you can be guided by interactive books and videos on youtube and many online forum offers assistance when you are stuck.any question you have or any glitch you experience have been faced by someother programmer so you have an avalanche of resources at your disposal.just google any querry and objectively sifter through the tons of material available. Many other programmers love seeing people make an effort and would be glad to help both for free and others for a fee.many people choose to opt for a fee. While i cant fault their choice,i do not see why you cant begin even the basics by yourself. Remember knowledge is built a priori that is from known to unknown. Start with the basics first and then ask questions along the way. Whats your location

Why would you just conclude programming is very expensive when u can learn virtually every thing free of charge online? @OP kindly find a niche of interest in the world of programming and take up free online courses to start with.
you are right. I know several guys that are self taught and they did not spend much. They have lots of materials and videos but they devote their time. You learn more by lots of practice and project creation. You may pay for some stuff though but its all on you to develop yourself

Am in my final year in school.I have been thinking of learning a skill lately and am considering programming. But everyone thinks its not a good idea and I should probably go for fashion designing.
The issue is I have never had interest in fashion designing. Please what do you think about me learning programming, what does it entail, will there be so many opportunitieshuh?
Please I need your quick responses please!
my dear go for what you love. It does not matter how long. Programming is bae anytime anyday but will require like other worthwhile endeavour your time, patience, practice, determination etc. You will not learn everything one day. But with each passing day as you gather the requisite skill for your chosen path and gradually perfect your game you would see worlds open up for you. Youve got endless opportunities. But you will only succeed if you love what you do

I admire and commend Innoson for his wonderful works in the Nigerian automotive industry and for giving Nigerians something to be really proud of and I know that one day we will definitely get there to the top. But let me throw your useless comparison question back to you. Can you yourself honestly compare this to this...because that's what you just asked us to do.

You yourself posted this up there:

InvestmentRe: Please Help! How And Where Can I Save This Money by Blazinglevel: 10:32pm On Jul 26, 2019
nabiz:
My plan in next 2 years is to own a particular construction equipment which presently cost 6millon.

My plan is to be saving 250k every month.

My challenge is how and where can i be saving this money so that i will not be tempted to touch it or even use it for another project.

MY OPTIONS
OPTION A:
Go to the company that sales the equipment, negotiate with them to be paying 250k every month till when i complete the money i will then carry my equipment.

MY FEAR
(1)What if the company close over night.

(2)What if something happened to my present sources of finance that i am unable to complete the payment

OPTION B: Look for a land to buy which allows installment payment methods, sell the land at the end of the two years to by the equipment.
MY FEAR
(1)where can i get a genuine land in the eastern part of nigeria that the will allow me to pay small small?
(2) what if my source of fund stop that i am unable to complete the land payment

OPTION C: Open a special account with bank and make the contributions every month.
MY FEAR:
This is my best option but my fear is that i may be tempted to use the money for a different purpose. I would have gone for fixed deposit but i don't have the money in cash.

Another option which i dont know if it is possible is if i can reach agreement with bank not to allow me withdraw the money till the end of 2years.

Pls what do you advice me
i dont know about other banks but i guess they have something similar in other banks. In first bank they have options of saving money and depositing for specific projects for a period specified by you though you wont be able to withdraw until the end of the period specified. On the other hand instead of the funds lying idle in an account you can invest it and generate some more money but its totally up to you.

But the banks can serve your request. Just visit any and have a talk with their customer care
