Travel / Re: The Modern Emerging Face Of Ibadan City. by bleeper: 11:02am On Aug 01, 2016 |
Guys!!!! We are being scammed here. Most of the pics posted were taken from just about two or three locations (Ring Road to Challenge, Mokola & Bodija). There are very many bad roads in Ibadan right now. Anybody that knows Ibadan should please go to Oju irin Akobo road, then you would know that we don't have a government in Oyo state. There are several other densely populated areas in Ibadan like that with very deplorable roads. With the exception of the Mokola flyover, majority of the roads being showcased by OP were done by past administrations in Oyo state. My verdict: Ajimobi is a huge joke on the good people of Oyo State, particularly in Ibadan and specifically those masses living in the Oju-irin Akobo axis!!! |

duni04: Trouble the system? Nigerians will never seize to amaze one. A thief was caught at his act and the only defense he puts forward is that everybody steals. Anybody that is confirmed corrupt after due investigation must be punished, even if the focus is only on one party. When it is their turn let them persecute any thief irrespective of party. Were those m...fckers in power to loot? Nonsense!!! 1 Like |
Crime / Re: Soldier Arrests Robbery Suspects Operating In Military Uniform In Lagos by bleeper: 12:11pm On Dec 19, 2014 |
This is really a perilous time and everyone must stay at alert to stay alive. I was attacked by these two innocent looking chaps (with ages probably below 20 years) this past Wednesday. There was traffic on Oshodi bridge and the two boys came to my window asking me to wind down, before I could blink I heard a big bang….. that was my car window (driver’s side) being blown off. The rest is history as they say. Not even the sheer number of people present could scare these boys. Peeps, there are indeed dare devil individuals living among us. We need to rise up as individuals and seek ways to protect ourselves. The question to ask; Knowing fully well that this is yuletide period and incidences like this tend to increase astronomically, why were the security operatives not positioned in well-known dark spots like Oshodi and others? Simply put, we don’t have a government!!! |
Romance / Re: Dependent Attitude Of Nigerian Girls In Relationships: Poverty Or Greed? by bleeper: 6:47pm On Jan 07, 2014 |
Do I blame you? If not for some guys with low self-esteem that would make some silly, smelling, half-educated girls who have nothing to offer but their pussy to push them around. And when you call them weaklings, they complain. People with low lives who can't affort N500= recharge card without a male bank rolling it. Girls with your type of mentality need to get a life. It's not compulsory to say yes to him. If you know it is only his money you want, say no and then go to a proper ashawo joint and display your ware. shameless olosho!! black_beau: So,when its time to wash your clothes, cook your meals, keep your house clean ,grace your bed and in some cases,go to your parents place to help out, there are no complaints. Abi,u don't know its your mothers responsibility? When its tym to foot her bills,it automatically becomes her fathers responsibilty. I'm not saying its right for a girl to put all her financial responsibility on her bf but if she decides to,keep quiet and take care of it.she puts up wiv all your 'nonesense' afterall |
Romance / Re: Why Do 'Nice' Ladies Get Dumped Easily by bleeper: 4:51pm On Dec 27, 2013 |
Please go through my submissions again. I wrote more than once that there are indeed nice girls and that they get married to good husbands. My post also tried to explain why the so called "nice girls" according to OP are being dumped and would continue to be dumped. Lord_Reed: |
Romance / Re: Why Do 'Nice' Ladies Get Dumped Easily by bleeper: 4:02pm On Dec 27, 2013 |
@OP, first, let me say that your "title" is a fallacy of hasty generalisation. Nice girls are often appreciated by smart guys who can see through the deception of most ladies. These girls eventually get married to very good husbands every now and again!! The challenge most times with the so called "nice girls" whom you are referrring to is deception. They pretend to be nice; they speak with cool, bed-room like voices, appear calm on the surface, almost agreeable on most issues etc. But behind all these seemingly nice traits is their insatiable thirst for money and sex. Instances abound of these type of girls. Then, people like the OP would wonder why such girls are dumped. If not for space and time, I would have shared several instances, but let me share this one: Had this babe, cool to the bone, so it seemed. Introduced her to my boy friends. All came back to tell me at different times of their exploits with her. Some even went as far as describing some of her moves behind closed doors to confirm their stories. What did I do? I calmly called it quits with her. She is still unmarried, though beautiful, brilliant (Chartered Accountant), confident etc. Why, because most guys that are willing to settle down have learnt to look beyond appearance. On the flip side, a discerning guy would rather marry a known devil "a not so nice girl" to an angel "the devil incarnate". My submission: There are genuine nice girls getting hooked to cool husbands everyday. Girls should quit deception if they want happy relationships as guys are now one million times wiser! |

Politics / Re: World Bank Raises Nigeria's Economic Rating by bleeper: 1:14pm On May 08, 2013 |
omenka: They have come again with their gimmicks to hoodwink the clueless govt into plunging the country into serious debt crises! @Omenka, the most reasonable post so far. The World bank has been an effective economic tool in the hands of the West for so long. It is no longer news that the economies of Europe have suffered greatly in the past few years (some of their countries have had double to triple dip recessions in the last 5 years). The US economy is also not completely out of the woods. Asian countries also have their own share of economic woes. Now, where else can these imperialists turn to, if not the gullible African countries, moreso, Nigeria that is currently being led by less than an intelligent president. With above 60% poverty level (which by all empirical evidence is grossly understated), some self-professed financial gurus still think accruing more national debts is the way forward, especially when Mr Corruption, sorry Mr President and his cohorts are still in charge? Oh Oh Oh, how much I pity my dear country. 3 Likes |
Business / Re: GTB Freezes My Account For False Loan by bleeper: 11:14am On Apr 04, 2013 |
@ OP, do a letter to CIBN. The Lagos Office is at Adeola Hopewell, VI. The Institute has an active committee that review such complaints. I am sure you would get a faster resolution. But seriously, no bank in Nigeria is worth the hype. All, na same thing, a direct reflection of a failed larger system. |

Thanks Spyder880, I appreciate your prompt response. The challenge here is trust. I have followed your progress (work, criticism, advice, suggestions etc)over time and I was confident about your sincerity before I asked for your assistance. These qualities especially the latter is not a common virtue in most workmen and I must say I'm a bit sceptical. But I can't push you too much, I appreciate the geographical (location) constraints you may be facing. Please how much do you know Brabus? Have you referenced any other job to him before now? If yes, what was the client's feedback? And @ Brabus, pls what can you say to Spyder's recommendation? spyder880: |

Spyder880, I have silently followed your tutorship on nairaland for months and I must say a big thank you for your selfless disposition to educating all interested nairalanders. I have a challenge that you may be able to help with. I started a 4 bedroom duplex (with a 2 bed BQ, gatehouse and a generator house)in Ibadan about one and half years ago. It is presenly awaiting roofing after spending about N7m (excluding cost of land). The design is a simple one and was made so because of lack of skills of builders in that particular location. I intend to make up for the lack of architectural beauty in the finishing of this building. I however require the services of expert builders/finishers like yourself who could turn this humble looking structure in to a decent one with quality finishing. Do you have contacts in Ibadan whom you could reference? Or what do you think could be done at this stage? By the way, the roofing will be done by the middle of October this year. Thanks. |

Sky-walker:[b][quote author=Sky-walker] Well, I wasn't specific o. But one thing for sure is that our girls know how to comport themselves when they see a man loaded to the teeth. Some people will see it as taking sh***t but I'll say it's smartness. You may do your rubbish provided you don't do it to my face and even if you do, shey u can still be dropping the dough. In the end, everybody gains, nobody complains. EOD |
Travel / Re: Important Advice To Students Coming To The UK by bleeper: 4:52pm On Aug 01, 2012 |
The debate over the relevance of studying in the UK especially at this period when it seems that all the "benefits" have been withdrawn has raged for too long. Truth be told, every prosperous country in the world is "selfish" and "self centered". The UK as a consortium is not an exception. A country that is bereaved of many sources of income safe for tax (unlike our own blessed country) will look for all avenues to milk others dry. Any wonder why the huge disparity between home fees & international fees? A more pertinent question however is, what fault of theirs is that our own leaders have remained visionless and callous? Why will the citizens continue to export millions of naira in exchange for a few pounds in the pursuit of quality education? These and many more questions come to mind. Summarily, what options do students have to get quality education? In my opinion, the standard of education in the UK remains relatively high. Our affinity with them from pre-independence days means less cultural shock for most students and the ease of social integration fostered by the presence of many Nigerians make it a preferred destination spot for most students. My candid advice to would-be student, get in, acquire your education and come back to mother land. UK does not have much for International Students just now! 1 Like |

I just wonder why these African American men refuse to come back home (Africa) to marry cool headed, less jealous, beautiful and respectful girls. Yeah, the American dream is real but one thing I don't envy about their lifestyle is the over bearing attitude of the womenfolk in that part of the world. To my African queens, you gals are the bomb! I know some critics will start throwing stones blindly, but looking at the pros and cons, I will go with the slogan of one of the leading banks in Nigeria "wouldn't you rather bank with us?" |
