Tommydare: Stupid man. As if there are no bricklayers, carpenters etc in the country. He should encourage his children to become iron benders as well. Eleribu gbogbo
studyless123: The millions of graduates that Nigeria have churned out, what have they developed? I've conducted several interviews and found many of them unemployable. The smart ones end up learning skills. There's more demand for skilled labour than university graduates. The country doesn't lack university graduates but lack skilled labourers.
smokinloud: In developed countries self-employed mechanics benefit from the robust economy. In contrast, Nigeria's cheap labor and low demand for skilled workers drive brain drain, as talented individuals seek better opportunities which leads many of them into yahoo.
Manager2016: Go and tell that to your grandchildren. Tell them to become bricklayers, mechanics and carpenters.
You have your son as Edo state commissioner of Health, if he was a bricklayer, would he be a commissioner?
Well said, don't mind those lunatics who are looking for the low minds to deceive. They send their children abroad, and discourage others so that they will remain at the top with their generations. Talking from both sides of the mouths. I don't blame them. Somebody here will start supporting them. To what extent has he or his likes promoted technical education?
Hmmmm, but we can copy other developed countries and make the labour they put in worthwhile
ivandragon: Three things are evident from your statement.
1. You obviously don't understand metonymy/synecdoche, so I can excuse your inability to comprehend even though the my reference to 'technical' work force should have given you an idea that the matter relates to blue collar jobs in general which leads me to the next point.
2. You seem not to know that blue collar jobs are the backbone of industrialisation. No matter how many tertiary degrees you have, no matter how many innovations you can come up with, you need people who can put in sweat and blood to do the 'dirty' jobs. People with technical know-how and special skill sets. Those people whom you take for granted which brings me to my third point.
3. You come across as one of those who raise thier noses against honest Labour. You see a bricklayer or mechanic and see the person as sub-human. You think they contribute nothing to the economy.
IamANigerianMan: Their children are schooling in one of the best university in the world but the children of the poor should go and learn Plumber so that they will continue to rule them
