Since 1999, they have always been in power in one way or another.

While the South is busy fighting itself out, the North is working on how and whom to align with in the next few years.

Before you accused the north of religion sentiment can you provide us with what Buhari got in the south, this is hypocrisy ,your accusation should also be directed to the South for Voting OBJ.

The South and NC gave OBJ and Jonathan victory in 2003 and 2011 respectively.
In 2011 for instance, Buhari won in Bauchi, Borno, Gombe, Jigawa, Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, Kebbi, Niger Sokoto, Yobe and Zamfara states.

...and note that most of those states had sitting PDP governors at the time, most of whom later won their own guber elections on the platform of the same PDP, after successfully delivering their states to Buhari's structureless CPC.

The election results for 1999 is still very much online ,OBJ won know state in the Southwest against Chief Olu Falae but he clears the North.
