mranswer: I'm sure your brain was somewhere else wrote this post.No it wasnt.. Just so that when next you think of why Infant/underage marriageis frowned upon, this is it.. |
muatt03: Mr, u r obviously resistant to learning! D guy's telling u wat is obtainable n u r busy arguing. I donno 1 federal health institution in which it's nurses job to collect any sample. That however occurs in lots of state owned hospitals because those hospitals usually have very few doctors n so many patients. Nurses don't also set I.v lines n if they do in ur absence they want you to pay them for it, @least they request for a bottle of coke. It 's not also their job to administer i.v medications. Se u grab?Odikwa egwu o!! Nwokem, as we advance.. Please refrain from cynical comments such as is contained in the above referenced post.. I say this because if I indulge you, you would not enjoy having this conversation. Thanks. NOW... Back to the topic; I am really surprised out of my Mind to hear that it is Doctors the set up I.V's, give injections and collect blood samples from patients. Its so ridiculous that I am really really in shock.. So please tell me what the nurses role in a 'Federal Hospital' is exactly?!I sak this because I have never been inside any hospital where the Doctor collected samples from me. Infact, they normally would write you a 'prescription' (I dunno the medical term) and hand it to a Nurse who then runs with it.. Infact, the doctor is not even there when samples are collected. So please tell me what the Nurses do?! Because the next thing you will tell me now too is that Federal Doctors also do the work of the pharmacist as well. ![]() |
This is what Holy Aisha in the Quran must have looked like... For those muslims who are yet to fully understand why people frown upon Child Marriage.. |
OneBadGuy: A suspected case of the deadly virus "EBOLA" has been identified in the Lagos State University few minutes ago.JESUS!!!! Chi-chi'm o!!!! Chai!!!! I hope say Chi-Chi never go back school o!! If not, BREAK-UP! |
onila: double standard in our societyO well.. You cant let that bother you much. Girls dump guys they have fhucked as well and those guys are also left heartbroken, cry, beg and plead for these girls to come back.. However, the one thing you would never hear from such guys is; 'After you used me'. REASON:: Because they dont consider sex to be 'using'.. If you feel 'used' after sex, that means you were having sex for the wrong reasons in the first place. You dont feel used after a kiss nor do you feel used after smooch. The reason why girls feel so highly about sex is because they have attached too darn much importance to their pussiie. A man almost always passes out after sex, tell me who used who?! ![]() |
Chizzybabe: if this is true i am interested, but will like to get a good description of the iota and abuwa. No C-of-O or government Consent.. Be Kiaful |
Lacomus: oooooo it's men that don't feel bad, Onila don't be a sexist on this issue. You know the truthShe is a Virgin o!! So her truth is hearsay.. |
onila: whether you like it or notHow is sex attached to pride for women and not for men?! When two people have sex, they just fhucked each other equally.. But somehow, you women over emphasize yours than guys. Why?! Rosemary made a solid point, its sex. If your pride is attached to your pussiie, then please keep that pussiie on lock. But if your pride is attached to your brains and achievements in life, then you shouldnt feel that having sex with a guy is 'ruining your pride'. #Just Saying. |
Jonathan... Embarassing himself since he bought his first pair of shoes.. ![]() Exporting Cars that were imported into Nigeria.. ![]() |
kokoA: Show me anybody that works for nigerian government that is satisfied with the conditions of his or her service.. Doctors are not different from any other civil servant, lecturer, etc working for the government.. The conditions are bad we know but that doesn't change the fact that you guys are very heartless. We have soldiers in Borno earning 500naira per day in addition to obsolete and inadequate weapon to fight against insurgents driven by strange ideology and limitless amount of sophisticated weapons, so don't tell me about risk. With due respect to our nigerian hero, late Dr Stella (may her soul rip), but she wasn't the only health official who got infected. Do you mean to tell me the other hospital staff have better conditions of service than doctors?Naaa.. Those other staff are practitioners of lesser professions than our highly esteemed doctors. ![]() THATSALL.. |
phantom: wow...... you picked a second point.we are making progress.Cynicism again.. You still have not made any progress in this regard. Okay.. So now go ahead and tell me whatelse I missed. |
ifyclose2: There goes your ignorance once again. In most federal hospitals across d nation, it's d JUNIOR DOCTORS (house officers) who collect urine, blood and stool samples from patients, and NOT nurses....so how do I reply you now?!!!I am ignorant... OBVIOUSLY!! Thats why there is a '?' mark at the end of most of my sentences.. Enlighten us lowly people of lesser professions. So you said; In 'MOST' federal hospitals.. Meaning not in 'ALL' Federal Hospitals... So go ahead and answer my question because as far as I know and many other Nigerians would attest to, collecting samples, giving injections, setting up I.V's are all done by nurses.. And ok.. Even if the Doctors collect the samples.. What about those who analyse these samples?! Arent they naturally at greater risk than the doctors who collect them?! OR Will you also say that in 'MOST' Federal hospitals, Doctors do sample analysis themselves?! ![]() |
phantom: but I am yet to understand your own long epistle on the matter. you seem to be saying that doctors should not emphasize on a hazard allowance because they are not the only ones exposed to WORK PLACE HAZARD.We all face Hazards daily sir. Infact, Doctors are the most compensated in Nigeria amongst all those who truly are in the frontline of truly hazardous jobs. I pointed out how the Policeman who recieves really shiity pay to risk his neck and fight hardened die-hard criminal gets an NYSC doctors Salary as compensation if he gets shot in the line of duty.. BUT!!!! The worse part for the Nigerian Police Officer is that they cannot go on strike under the constitution because they are not allowed to be involved in Unionism. ![]() Soldiers as well.. A Government Doctor in Nigeria earns better than any other Civil Servant in Nigeria.. #FACT! And it wasnt an epistle, I simply wanted to understand if I was right that the OP just wants more money for Doctors because of the Hazard they face or if she really is concerned about the Overall well being of the health sector ahead of personal gains. |
ifyclose2: In 2003 a professor of Community Health Prof (Mrs) Obehi Okojie said to us "many people hate doctors, but they want their children to study Medicine"...I've never heard a more honest statement in my entire life....If there was a world cup 4 hypocrisy, Nigeria would be winning it every four years. So all u guys who have been insulting and bashing Nigerian doctors out of a combination of envy, jealousy and ignorance are now leading d "mourning" for Dr Adadevoh.....oh I see....all of a sudden, u guys appreciate d sacrificies doctors make for their patients despite all d challenges confronting d health sector.....challenges which d FG is not willing to address....well your "friend" Goodluck Jonathan has just travelled to Germany 4 medical check-up and left d rest of u ignorant people behind in Nigeria. Well, at least u can call your JOHESU "consultants" to come and attend 2 u if u have any health issues. But I forgot...since d outbreak of Ebola, JOHESU has been unusually silent....of course they are...because they lack d intellectual capacity and proactiveness to deal with d Ebola outbreak...AFTERALL, IT WAS THEIR "DARLING" NURSE WHO ESCAPED QUARANTINE, RAN TO ENUGU, AND PUT D LIVES OF MILLIONS OF NIGERIANS AT RISK...so it's back 2 d usual unsung heroes "the doctors" to handle. Dr Adadevoh isn't d only doctor who makes sacrifices for her patients. Thousands of doctors all over d country do. Some of us even go as far as making financial donations on behalf of poor patients who can't afford healthcare. I've witnessed this, and I've partaken in it as well. Now let's look at this: Contracting a disease like Ebola is part of d HAZARDS of d medical profession, and currently d FG pays doctors a monthly hazard allowance of N5k....so Dr Adadevoh was entitled to the GRAND SUM of N5k monthly for putting herself at risk of contracting d Ebola virus as well as other highly-transmissible diseases like HIV, Hepatitis and Lassa Fever (which killed a dear friend and colleague of mine some years back). And somebody wants us to just sit back and act like nothhing's wrong with d system? NO we won't. You guys attack Nigerian doctors for running private clinics, but all of a sudden, u turn around and praise Dr Adadevoh who was ALSO WORKING in a private hospital as at d time of her death. U Nigerians are amazing. Well, in case u don't know, d ban on residency training will have disastrous consequences on d health sector....consequences that only d average Nigerian like you and I will suffer. Politicians will continue to travel abroad for d slightest headache, while you and me are left in Nigeria to suffer d rot of d health sector. A ban on residency training means a stoppage in d production of SPECIALIST DOCTORS. So by the time that your child with Sickle Cell has to travel abroad to see a specialist, or women with Fibroids have to travel abroad for a simple Myomectomy operation, you will realize d rot in which d FG has placed d health sector. So continue your blind and sentimental support for stupidity....as for we doctors, d sky is always d limit, no matter d circumstance. Opportunities are limitless both within and outside d country. We are INDISPENSABLE, and d FG will soon realize that and go on it's knees. I'm aware from some very reliable sources that d FG is already trying to intervene through secret meetings involving Sen David Mark. As for d rest of you "mourning" Dr Adadevoh, keep your condolences to yourself....d NMA doesn't need them....and d Adadevoh family certainly doesn't need them.....bunch of sentimental hypocrites.@ Phantom.. Highlighted above are the ONLY points in the OP's post.. 1. Hazard Money. 2. Residency The rest are just rants and curses like I said.. Can you tell me if I missed anything else?! |
esere826: nopeShe suspected.. That is grounds to Quarantine him. Immediately a Doctor suspects that a patient is carry such a deadly and highly infecteous disease like Ebola, that Doctor is required by Law to isolate and Quarantine such a patient and then Contact the Nigerian Ministry of Health. |
phantom: so you only picked out the issue of hazard allowanceAtleast I comprehend the above post enough to spot the Poster cynicism. Well, if you feel I havent properly understood the message the OP is trying to pass across, feel free to point them out to me. All I saw was a passage filled with rantings, swearing and cursing. |
phantom: blockus, its quite difficult taking you seriously with a moniker like that but I will try.No sir.. I am reacting to the OP's post sir. Of everything she wrote there, I only was able to isolate the part about '5000 Naira' Hazard allowance. The rest of that post was just filled with pointless rantings. |
esere826: @ ifyclose2Let me just say this.. If the Doctor had let Mr. Sawyer go after diagosing him with Ebola.. She would have lost her license and very likely go to jail. Its not a matter of intelligence, its a matter of DUTY!! There are certain illnesses that are on the high priority list and have a protocol that ALL doctors must follow when once the diagonose a patient with them. |

You have said a lot.. And what I picked up from inbetween the curses and ranting was you want more Hazard Money. Ok.. So how much do you want for Hazard allowance?! Should we also extend this Hazard allowance to the Nurses who actually collect the blood samples and stool samples and urine samples?! Should we also extend the hazard allowance to the Lab attendants and Scientists who do the Blood Culture and all that other stuff?! What about the Dispatch person who takes the samples from Clinic to Laboratory?! ARGH!!! I forgot to add the refuse disposal unit that deals with medical waste.. Shouldnt they also get this Hazard allowance?! So if we pay Doctors more Hazard allowance, how would the hazard they are exposed to reduce?! Wouldnt it be better if the government just took out a deduction of 2.5% of Doctors salary and push it towards getting all of the Doctors a Workmans compensation insurance incase they suffer any injuries or illnesses as a result of exposure to these Hazards or you just want us to beef up the money we pay Doctors now and toss the insurance into the bin. What about other professions that are also exposed to varying degrees of hazards in the Jobs they do?! Example: within the Medical field, the Ambulance driver who has to drive at breakneck speed to get to a patient and get them to the hospital?! What about the Ambulance Attendant who are actually the first contact with the patients?! All these are question o!! I know say your blood dey hot, but can you please help provide answers to these questions.. Just for me to understand you a little bit better. R.I.P to the Doctor.. She died in the line of duty just like Soldiers die from Boko Haram for very very poor change money , Police die from Armed Robbers and more, LASTMA from bad drivers evading arrest, Drivers, Engineers, Pilots, Maiguard, e.t.c...
