funny enough, i always get a response on mtn customer care, either 180 or 181. i guess its because i have a post paid line. Anyways, on the issue at hand, i have learnt never to browse with mtn again. The last time, they threw my account into a debit of over 8k just for browsing for about an hour. 8,000 naira for just an hour, even if its to chat with Obama. however, i have gotten used to them stealing my credit since the post paid lines are not charged immediately, its hard to know how much i'm billed for stuff, so i got a prepaid line that i only recharge to make emergency calls when they cut me off on the postpaid. yesterday i loaded 750 on it, called about 400 bucks. i had about 325 left in the morning and it just started reducing. i kept checking my log to see if my phone was dialing by itself. nothing. has anybody experience this gradual reduction of credit on a prepaid line cos its the norm on the postpaid.

no matter wetin we argue for nairaland, come 2011, whoever go rule naija, go rule naija. Its not like our vote counts. There's no miracle Goodluck can do before then to make our electoral system perfect. I just pray that there's no civil war/crises next year to come and set naija back by another 50yrs, shikena.

My dell studio 1535 is just about 10months old. All of a sudden when i plug it in, it makes a a beeping sound, says my adapter cannot be determined, plug in a recommended dell 90w adapter bla bla bla, after that, it goes on to show plugged in but not charging on the battery icon. while its plugged in, i can work with my laptop as if its a desktop. i even removed the battery and it still comes up but of course as soon i disconnected the charger, the laptop just shuts down. I want to know if anyone has had a similar problem and how it was resolved. Do i need to change d battery or is it the adapter that is bad? when i entered my bios, it says battery is healthy but lists adapter type as unknown yet d adapter is powering d system without battery. Pls help!!!!!!!!??

Hi doc, thanks for your advice on the fibroid last week. The pain meds have helped control d pain. However I have another question. I lost the central vision on my right eye 3weeks ago. The opthalmologist prescribed steriods for me.40mg of prednisolone for a week, 20mg d 2nd week & 10mg d last week.he says since I'm above 7months already, my baby won't be affected.is that true doc? Considering also that I have fibroid, is it safe to take steroids? Pls I need ur help urgently as I'm supposed 2 start medications immediately or risk blindness in that eye.

Hi doc, I am 28yrs old and 32weeks pregnant. 3days ago I started experiencing excruciating pain in my abdomen. I went to my gynae who examined me and concluded that I had uterine fibroid and that's what is causing the pain. He prescribed pain killers for a week and some sleep meds.he said nothing more can be done and discharged me. He didn't do any scan to determine how many or the location. He also didn't mention if there are any risks I should expect.I also want to know if the pain will last thru out the remaining 8weeks. I also read something abt red degeneration. Ideally, if a girl is calling of the engagement, she returns the ring, as a sign that she is no longer interested. Accepting it meant " yes, i will marry u". Returning it means " I no do again oh!"
However, if a guy calls of the engagement, he has no rite to ask for the ring or anyother thing(car, house, education etc) back. Its his loss. He should have thought more before proposing. Breaking an engagement is not a small thing oh. You know how many rings/cars/houses she for don get if not for ur stupid ring on her finger? I will only return it if i can choke him with it.

Yeah, mtn is bleeped. I graduated with 2.1 in elect/elect & have submitted countless applications on mtn website. No invitation or acknowledgement from them since 2006 I graduated. I have read thru d arguments both for & against tithing and it hurts that our christian faith or fate has to be debated. Its nobody's fault here though. Its not even the Pastors that propagate bad doctrine, its us. The Bible unlike the Quran was written in plain English with lots of translations and versions and then as a bonus, The Holy Spirit was also given to translate and interprete the scriptures to us individually. As if that was not enough, we were also forewarned that there will be false prophets and that each of us has to work out our salvation. On Our Own.

The issue of tithes is something i have been pondering on for a while now. I was happy to stumble upon this thread. The scriptures quoted here have clarified a lot of stuff for me. I remember once asking a Man Of God if I could give my tithe out to ppl in need and he said no. That i should bring it to Church then go back and parcel another gift for the poor. Now, I am some one who loves giving. i wish i could give more than I earn. It felt wrong for me. for a while i was doing that double giving until my Sister who by any standards is Born Again revealed truths to me. I am glad my eyes have been open and i can give freely.

The so-called tithers on this thread remind me of a catholic sister i had an argument with one day. She vehemently oposed everything i said but quoted no scripture to support her claims.

We know its ok to give. We know the bible commanded it. Its ok. But prove it. No, instead they are busy making foolish comments. Its obvious they are clearly brainwashed.

I am not saying you should/shouldnt pay tithes. I am only trying to say that what ever you decide to do, believe in it, check the scriptures, do not consult what ur pastor said or didnt say. Do the right thing. If you are  truly born again, the Holy Spirit will convince you of your choice.
