Have you tried NGOs? I believe they'll be willing to absorb you for the time being. However, it may boil down to your expectations in terms of remuneration amongst other preconceived factors.



You may also want to have individuals skilled in the art of reviewing resumes to help you review your resume and cover letter and make them look more presentable. The internet can also come in handy to this end. It can also aid you with interview tips, aptitude tests prep materials and so on. So, take advantage of it.


In addition, always do well to stand out from the crowd; from things like the kind of paper you use in printing out your resume (if need be) to your exhibition of etiquette amongst other things.

The search for job is overwhelming and giving me sleepless nights, therefore I'll like people to give me ideas on how I can get internship placement so I won't continue to be idle.

I checked few places and even called some companies to make enquiries on internship position but I keep getting negative response.

I am a graduate of English literature building a career in HR practices, I recently completed my post graduate course work. I discovered lack of work experience is playing a major role in me not getting a job and so I've decided to get intern job.
Am open to suggestions. Thanks.

Am going to congratulate you that you have two girls already, keep appreciating God and if he wish he will give you a boy. I pray to have both too.

Let me briefly share my mums story;

Just like your hubby my dad wanted two children but after 2 girls my mum could not stop cos she wanted a boy. The third and fourth came as girls then she stopped. After few years she resumed her search for boys again, and if am not making a mistake she had up to 6 miscarriages but finally had a baby boy may 2002 who is no more today. All in all my dad no send her.

My mum keeps telling us how foolish she was then risking her life.

God will grant your heart desire if it is good for you, he won't give you what will trouble you in the future cos sincerely some families are better off without male child.

From ketu bus stop you enter obalende bus, when you get to obalende you board a bus going to Ajah then from Ajah you get bus or car to Awoyaya. Savannah event center is before awoyaya bus stop.

That said, the distance from Egbeda to Igando is like 10minutes especially around 5am, when the traffic is still less.Why not drive down to Igando general hospital immediately.... why taking chances...

Even waiting at home till the water break is enough risk already, As for the justice, no amount of justice will bring the dead back.

Exactly...just behind this hospital are two standard private hospitals and the husband should have left the wicked nurses.

Thank you all for all your messages. I appreciate u all. For those asking how I submitted the applications, lemme explain my skills:
1. I always dressed very well but without a suit, so most security men always give me attention and couldn't embarrass me.
2. I always ask to see d Admin or HR, and if am not allowed I drop it for the receptionist or direct the gateman to give to the person that the mail is very urgent and important.
3. I bought very good and decent envelopes, d N50+ own and i did not write anything on d envelopes I dropped. It's just to increase d curiosity of d Admin/HR.

I hope this will help in answering most questions of those sending me pm.

This is what I do too so I know it will definitely happen. I spent Monday and Tuesday of this week going to places and dropping my applications.

I had a terrible experience on Tuesday. I went to a company and asked to see the hr manager, the security lady refused and said until she knows why I want to see the hrm before she is going allow me.

I took my time to explain that I'll like to drop my CV and she still refused that 'no vacancy'. I did all I could trying not to look desperate but the security refused and I left.

I felt bad cos I spent a lot but all the same life continues.

Glory be to Almighty... God Win, I finally got a job after 3 and a half years as a customer service representative with Multichoice Dstv.

I'm not really the type that like blowing my horn but I guess I will be an ingrate if I don't share this testimony with Nairalanders to encourage others not to give up hope. Weeping may endureth through the night but definitely joy cometh in the morning. I pray that Almighty God will answer all the prayer request of all job seekers on here like he answered mine. Just be patient, His forever faithful.

I resumed yesterday and I think I enjoyed my first day at work, I promise to give out recharge cards at the end of the month when i get paid my first salary as an appreciation to all that I learnt here on Nairaland during the trial period and my job search quest that prepared/assisted me in getting this job.

As regards your post in your diary about going for eye check, I'll suggest you go to civil service clinic along challenge road. They do proper eye check up there and even recommend eye glasses if you need one.

How many assesment do they conduct all together please? Two weeks ago I wrote the central test assessment where I scored 15 but didn't get any mail from them, today again I was sent a mail to follow a link and take the following assessment.
