My place of birth on my international passport is Lagos and all other documents and birth certificate is Edo State.
I went to the office immediately it was issued and I wasn't given audience.
Please, will it affect my future applications to international countries.

I am registered nurse/midwife and am rounding up with my BNSC January 2026, I would like to travel for masters degree same 2026 September but, my school will only issue us to whom it may concern after the final exam in January and certificate will be in 2027.

Someone recently told me I can go with just the nurse/midwife certificate and do an update later but I don't understand what she met and how possible it is to apply for masters without degree certificate.
And I don't know if any university either in UK or Canada can offer admission with awaiting degree certificate or to whom it may concern.

yes, after IELTS and CBT, you book osce and go with visiting visa to do your OSCE after which you can return and use your pin to apply for jobs in UK.

Usually the regeriumspraesidium of a state. The documents are free. They will say that they need a certain amount of language before they can issue you, but you can already translate documents with a dolmetsche/Dolmetscherin or Übersetzer It's not cheap. Then gather the documents and send to them while learning language if you haven't reached B1. This option opens you not only to chance card but also to other work visa options. At the
end they will tell you that your qualification is not up to that in Germany and that you will do an adaptation course. Don't worry. They will still pay you during the adaptation course. And after that you will write an exam that qualifies you as a nurse or midwife.

Do try to get your qualification recognised. Midwifery is a regulated profession. The process includes translation of your documents, sending them to the body that will do the recognition. This is state specific. You will now get a defizitbescheid which you will now be asked to go for further training. You will be paid while undergoing the training.

please can you guide/direct me on how to get the qualification recognised?
I have tried using Anabin, but it's as if that one deals with only degrees.

so guiding you would be difficult if we are not of the same route

It takes a few weeks to get the appointment. I really don't have much information. My husband was supposed to travel to Germany this month as skilled worker, the company submitted his letter for approval since September and they haven't released the letter till now .
Please do you know anything we or someone in Germany can do to fasten the approval letter?

Even if it's 20k he collected from you, if he didn't file your matter in court, he has no right to collect such money or scam you.

Many red flags in your case:

No paper evidence of filing case (red flag).

No evidence of attending court by claimant (red flag).

No proper concern by the lawyer to give you adequate information over the case (red flag).

Constantly telling you on the supposed date of the case that it has been adjourned without you being there to witness the case or adjournment (red flag).

Nonchalant attitude by the lawyer and not even caring about your case to carry you along (red flag).

So many red flags in this case that all points to the strong suspicion that you may have been scammed.

As for whether the magistrate Court at Ogba has closed for this year, I don't really know, except if someone who knows comes here and tells us. Or if you know anyone working there or close to the place and you call the person to confirm before going. But if your place is not too far away from the court, you can go this week and find out by yourself.

Don't let anyone take advantage of you, because many of these people you see in the court are touts and hawks looking for people to prey on and take their money, because they know Nigeria is a jungle where anything goes and where you can do anything to anybody and get away with it.

So let's know how it goes. We will keep monitoring your case to know what to do next. Just keep us informed/updated on this thread. Let us know.

We will push this story to Nairaland front page if eventually it's discovered that he actually scammed you or that he's a fake lawyer. Then he will be in serious trouble because the whole world will read his story and he will be apprehended, so that he will not continue scamming more people of their hard earned money.

If he scammed you of 20k, he must have scammed other people of hundreds of thousands or millions of naira.

For German embassy. You don't need an agent ,it is do it yourself. Go to their website and search for your own related visa information. You can also check Youtube you might get some info there too.Check if you have the requirements and all. If he needs to get A1 certificate.

I don’t really know much about German work visa, but what I do know is German embassy doesn’t work with any agency. No matter what they tell you, they have no influence on getting a ‘faster’ appointment for you. The most they can do is tell you the documents to gather, and that’s an info you can search for yourselves on your own by simply making enquires. If you have a lot of money to spend sha, you can use agent. I just see it as an unnecessary waste.
