Omoawoke: That will be another topic. But people sticking to power or ensuring their family rule continuously is not an African thing, and don’t make it seem like it’s an African thing! That’s humanity for you Your comparism is crap. Togo does not practice monarch or royal system of government like the Midfle East countries or Britain. Besides the royal family in UK are just ceremonial, the main administration of government, is done by the prime minister and the Parliament. |

Anyone saying Governor Fubara cannot be impeached is just being emotional..
He will be impeached and nothing anyone can do about it....except if that house didn't sit.
We have seen 16 legislators impeached a sitting governor in this country before...what have we not seen
Na like play, like play...e go happen..except they settle all political differences Keep dream |

BondRiv: Arrogant in your ignorance. Someone who is not a lawyer talking about the constitution, as if you can interpret any section. Leave law for the practitioners. Go to your level where you can comprehend things. You still need schooling in elementary government studies in a secondary school.
The primary function of the legislature is law making, aside the constitution, which is the foundation of every other law in Nigeria, states have their own laws. The Rivers State House of Assembly has a law governing its affairs. You are not an expert in this field and know nothing about law. Just shut up and learn. I won't waste anymore time with a low intellect like yourself, who is trying to dabble in things you lack knowledge of. Go back to nursery school.
https://punchng.com/protest-as-abuja-court-nullifies-rivers-2024-budget/ Sighs!!!! and what did Rivers state law state? That lawmakers can deflect from the party they won elections and still be recognised as legitimate lawmakers? Does Rivers State law supersede that of Nigerian constitution? soullove1881: Leave emotions aside, bro.
How is Binance affecting the Naira? Right now, Binance has halted all Naira transactions, so where is the Naira today? The problem lies in the BVN and non-cashless policy for dollars.
Politicians are stealing dollars by inflating contracts, thereby draining the already scarce liquidity.
If the FG/CBN makes dollars cashless, we'll see how these politicians will struggle to wheelbarrow bags of dollars to the bank for deposit. Instead, they're busy disgracing themselves, and people who don't understand how liquidity works are applauding them.
Check P2P platforms, and you'll see that the dollar-naira exchange rate is around ₦1400. However, on platforms owned by the political class, like Eversend and Grey, they're selling dollars at ₦1550 and buying at ₦1330. Yet, our clueless president and his outdated CBN Governor can't see that these people are being exploited.
Even YouTubers and others using monetization platforms face issues, as there's no direct conversion between dollars and Naira within banking apps. People risk their lives transacting with aboki instead of using regularized and secured escrow platforms.
No be everything una dey applaud blindly. Wake up!!! Well said. If the clueless president had a working brain, which I doubt , the 1st thing, he would have done is to reform the FX sector, all transactions should be done online. |

HomoDroid: Sadly, everyone under trial will make any allegation that wins public sympathy! However, they need to present these with evidence before the EFCC and Code of Conduct Bureau! I run the management of a private estate in Lagos. My experience is that most persons accused of infractions always try to turn the table against the Security Personal on the excuse that it's because they refuse to give them tips, until you start to dig deep and unravel the facts.
In fact, if you have nothing to hide as an American Citizen, how can a 'common' Nigerian Legislator of opposition party be threatening you for kickback or bribe? (Make we reason this thing o!) And why escape through the back door, when your life is not under threat (as an American citizen in ordinary Nigeria)?
Many Nairalanders are ignorantly and hatefully supporting outsiders against their own government fighting for their currency! Very sad indeed.
If you think you're dealing with TINUBU's government by supporting these international crooks called Binance, think again! A lot of Nigerians have lost their fortunes to these Ponzi schemes always repackaged and re-presented, including BETthis and BETthat, SwissGold, SwissGolden, MMM, etc. Sighs!!!! You talked about Atiku using Argentina template, wouldn't that be preferable to your president that doesn't even have any template guiding him? Do you refer to a ”trial and error” template as a good template? I also put it to you that every bad things you've talked about Obi is exactly what your principal is doing, What exactly can you point out as your benefit for voting a failure other than tribalism? Tellmeastory: My friend SHUT UP.
Empty head.
I can take you to some hospitals in Nigeria today that are better than many hospitals in the UK. I have lived there, so I know.
Most of you are VERY simple-minded, with a very deep complex.
You don’t know anything, yet you think you know everything.
Right now there are first class private hospitals in Lagos, Abuja and Port Harcourt who handle elite patients from places like Ivory Coast, Ghana, Togo, Liberia, Guinea, South Sudan, Sierra Leone, DRC, and other places.
They fly in quietly and do CT scans and other stuff not readily available in their countries. They pay in dollars and fly back home quietly.
WHAT MAKES YOU THINK WE WILL NOT HAVE SUCH HOSPITALS IN NIGERIA?
There are NUMEROUS Nigerian doctors who have RELOCATED from the US and established top medical establishments here with state of the art equipment.
Some of them even have foreign patients they treated when they worked abroad, who insist on still seeing them, even if they’ve moved to Nigeria. They fly in here, get their check-up and fly back out.
A LOT GOES ON WHICH YOU KNOW NOTHING ABOUT.
Most of you are just kids who don’t know anyone or anything apart from the simpleton generalised stereotypes and rubbish that only sees things in black and white with no grey areas.
So irritating. And then when they try to enlighten you, your thick block heads insist on remaining ignorant and cretinous. ZOMBIE. private hospitals in nigeria better than the ones in UK? Am not surprised, you all would behave like your father( Tinubu) the father of lies and propaganda. |
