Inspirer1: the bold is quite surprising especially for governors in all the Southern states
Govt claim to own almost all the lands, why can't they go into agriculture massively and directly, employ trained farmers......not giving out money that may be diverted to 'farmers' or to those that will later sell so costly as if they were not given incentives. This will make food available and cheap, reduce unemployment, and generate revenue from sale of cash crops. The refineries, steel plants and government owned establishment have they been properly and profitably managed ? Talkless of agriculture. You guys should try to be realistic sometimes. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Tottenham Hotspur Vs Manchester City (0 - 2) On 14th May 2024 by blueAgent(m): 3:48pm On May 15, 2024 |
geoworldedu: This season is fantastic!!! Unai Emery had tried to take Arsenal to the Champions league, but did not succeed. Just a quick try with Aston Villa, he has already taken them to the UCL to fight for their second UCL title. They had two wins over Arsenal with no single UCL or Europa league title. Even Tottenham has 2 Europa League trophies. Back to Aston Villa matter. The 6 points that he used for qualifying came from Arsenal whom he beat home and away. Unai is so good that he took a lowly Villarreal side to the final of the Europa League and won it while he lost when he took Arsenal there.
To prove to you all that Arsenal is jinx and they may never win anything other than FA Cup forever, let's take Unai Emery as a case study. He has won 3 Europa Leagues previously. He never lost in the final of all the three. Then here comes Arsenal which he took to Europa League, his fourth experience there at the final. Then he lost by 4-1. How come? Then to test if the problem was with him or with Arsenal, he quickly took Villarreal to the Europa League final and then won a strong Man Utd side and won the Europa League for the fourth time. To further prove that the problem and jinx is with Arsenal, he took Aston Villa from nowhere to the Champions League. Something he couldn't do with Arsenal.
Arteta is a very good coach, having learnt under Guardiola. But he is coaching a cursed and jinx club. That's why he may go trophyless for the next five years. If he was the coach of Chelsea this season, I'm very sure Chelsea could even shockingly lift the EPL. But what does a good coach get coaching a jinxed club, nada?
I can bet on my balls that if Guardiola goes to jinxed Arsenal, he will be trophyless for three consecutive seasons.
Arsenal fans run for your life. Your club is jinxed Not an Arsenal fan and never would. But some ppl have grace to break jinx. A Pep in Arsenal would win EPL. |

Omoawoke: Bros, try to be very logical and analytical in your thinking. Have you ever done case studies before? Or analytical argument?
Im not talking about who is more developed, corrupt, religious, nice, wicked etc
I’m talking about people holding on to powers and my argument is that it is not an African thing. It happens all over the world. Stop diverting from the main issue of discussion. This is how people fail critical thinking interviews and exams. It’s so simple, what is the issue? The issue I singled out is that people holding on to power for themselves and family is not an African thing, and I proved it by giving you Russia and North Korea as an example. simple and easy! You are just trying to save face. Go back and read your comments and the quote of the guy, you responded to, then come back let's talk. |

Omoawoke: We are talking of people holding on to power. This is not about failure. If we want to talk of failure, that’s another topic.
You said Africans hold on to power, and I made it clear it’s not an African thing and it happens in other places and gave you clear examples of that. Yesterday, Putin was sworn in again for another 6 years tenure. He has been there for more than 20 years
What of North Korea, Kim jong has been ruling since 2011 and will rule till he dies. His family has been ruling since donkey years.
And again bros, The royal family is the most powerful in the Uk Your comaparism is illogical. How is Russia and North Korea holding on to power beneficial to Africa? You are quick to point out those countries as examples of ppl holding unto power, but you did not point out the fact, that those countries are 100times more developed than African countries. |

Litmus: They are arguably not as corrupt as Nigeria but more corrupt than Nigeria. Their corruption is just more hidden by the legitimating of "corrupt practices" it in law.
A simple example: a form of bribery will no longer be marked against Nigeria in the collating of scores used to scale nations in the World Corruption Index when Nigeria legitimates the taking of money from the public by the police as Public Servants Benevolence Funds.
Or as ChatGpt rephrased the above:
if Nigeria legitimizes the acceptance of money from the public by the police as a fund for Public Servants' Benevolence, it may no longer be recorded as a form of bribery in the World Corruption Index ratings for the country." There is no sense or truth in this stuff, you wrote here. |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Togo President, Faure Gnassingbe Abolishes Presidential Election by blueAgent(m): 1:27pm On May 09, 2024 |
Omoawoke: I’m not comparing crap. Africa never knew anything about democracy until your white slave masters came and colonized Africa. We had our own system of leadership. And who told you the uk parliament is just ceremonial. lol, Queen Elizabeth was the most powerful person in the UK, the royal family are the most powerful. Who sabi prime minister? And did you deliberately skip Putin of Russia ? l Is that a reason why they failed? Besides democracy, which other system of government is favourable to black man or Africans? Becos it seems all other forms of leadership had failed in Africa. For your information UK Parliament and prime minister are the ppl running the government not the Queen. |
