I think the best thing to do is to ask someone if you can DM them, you the one looking for assistance instead of asking the person who wants to assist you to DM you. Confused about what exactly?

Sorry for the late reply,
I am confused by the samples of the SOP both on here and other places on the internet.
My main concern is the home ties section. I just graduated from secondary school, so I really don't have anything tying me home apart from family. I would have just omitted that part but most people are mentioning that it is the most important part of the entire SoP.
Anyone who can assist me with this should PLEASE contribute answers.
I would've preferred to use an agent, but a lot of people are advising me against it.
My email is in my signature.

Someone should please help me answer these.

Are these the only documents I need to take with me to VFS when going to collect my passport in-person

1. Photocopy of my passport datapage?
2. What does 'original VAC services receipt issued by VAC' mean?
3. A form of government ID
I’m no guru but i feel the first one is a copy of your data page, the second one is probably the reciept of your visa application fee and the third one any form of government ID, my friend said he took his nin card
Again take that with a pinch of salt, I answered because I don’t think anyone answered you

Hello guys; has anyone experienced any issue on their ircc portal (new). The portal was down since morning and when eventually I logged in I couldn't find my application or view my application status. Is anyone experiencing anything similar. I have logged on several times and the issue still persist.

Sorry for the repeat it’s really urgent
Hi again guys,
What’s the difference between old portal and new portal? Which one is better to use? And please leave links to both.
Also, if anyone could send a sample of the SoP to blueberryacres38@gmail.com as I’m now really confused.
Thank you very much!

Hi guys,
When i get my study permit by the grace of God, can i enter Canada more than a month before my date of resumption?
Also, what is enrollment letter? My friend that left early this month said the airport people were stressing him out because he didn’t have it and they nearly sent him back.

FOCUS ON GETTING THE VISA FIRST BRO
ONCE THE VISA IS OUT YOU WILL BE GIVEN ANOTHE OFFER.

PEACE

i don't think you understand, they've already gotten the PPR.
My advice Gart, i'm not a guru and i have basic knowledge about this but, if they have a phone number you should try calling them to clear things up and they should issue you another admission offer or you wait for them to reply your email, you emailed on the 12th of January or later if i'm not wrong, so you should get a reply in the next few days

Yes, it's acceptable. Apply with your son; don't add your spouse.
Have you completed post-secondary education, and is your intended program related to your present occupation?
i don't have a son or a spouse yet lol, i just completed secondary school and i'm taking a gap year until September.

There is no definite answer to your proof of funds question, as it depends on other factors like duration of studies and sponsorship. For example, if you are sponsoring yourself, you must have the tuition fees and living expenses for the duration of your program. On the other hand, if you are using a sponsor, you can show just the cost of education for one year, regardless of the duration of your studies. However, realistically, showing just the minimum is not recommended; it does not make sense for the sponsor to spend all the funds on your education.

It’s not about the length of the SoP; the most important thing is to identify and discuss the red flags in your application. Then, be concise and let the SoP flow with a logical sequence.

You can attach the medical information sheet to your application.
Thank you for responding,
My sponsor is my dad, is it advisable to apply if there's around three to four times more than the first year fees in the account? the account has a high transaction volume as well.

Hi guys,
Long time reader, I had to register on nairaland just seek help in applying for my study permit.

So, I got admission into UNB for the September 2023 entry for Bsc computer science. The total fees come up to around 11 million naira per year (this includes tuition, meal plan, residence fees and other small fees). How much do you think is appropriate for me to have in an account to be able to apply in peace? Also. as an undergraduate student, i gather that most people here are postgraduate students, so are the requirements the same? do i need a statement of purpose? I have previously written one but i know it will not be up to what is required (because i see people here saying theirs is 5 pages while mine is just 1).

I did medicals in October before receiving my admission letter, how will my application be linked to it?

All in all, please let me know what is needed, I am ready to give any information if it is required in helping me out.

God bless you all.
Also, please send me a sample of a SOP, my email is blueberryacres38@gmail.com
