Let the investigation continue and more facts unraveled. The wicked police officer deserves to be executed, although the deceased might not be innocent after all.

Well.... I'm very happy from the bottom of my heart that this is happening. This is the first thread I'm commenting on in a long while. I just love the smell of the breakfast served to the Oshodi Isolo people. How did he even become a representative of Yoruba people? Oshodi wey be some people ancestral land, all this Oshodi and Isolo wey be some people indigenous land. Una carry Okey out to be Una rep. Now he's repping his people. We shouldn't cry over this but we must learn to be conservative. Liberalism go finish us.

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: 'Mark My Words Arsenal Will Win UCL And EPL This Season' - Green Man by Bluna: 10:01am On May 06
As a Manchester United fan, I want arsenal to win the EPL. I don't want city to lift the trophy, I prefer Arsenal.

As for the champions league, it will be a tough call. Both Bayern and PSG play better. But Arsenal are unbeaten, so we can't write Arsenal off. Their chance is 50/50.

Smiles. For a second, let's agree that my problem is ignorance and poor education.

However, I am bringing you back to the previous question. If you were quite educated, you should be able to read and understand plain English.

Is it the Constitutional role of Traditional Rulers to settle crisis and disputes in Nigeria?
Both 1960 and 1963 constitutions gave constitutional roles to our traditional chiefs to resolve crises and disputes. But the military came and cut them off. It was the same military that gave us the 1999 constitution we currently use. Many Nigerians (including myself) have been clamoring for a new constitution to address this anomaly and others. We all need to raise our voice against this neglect of our traditional institutions. Thanks.

Let's presume for a second that it is not the constitutional duty of local government chairman to settle disputes and communal crisis.

Is it now the constitutional duty of your traditional ruler to do so?

JDP. Just Dey Play.
Yes. Kings in Yoruba land are primarily enthroned to rule, lead and settle crisis. It has been so since time immemorial. Even in the Bible, crisis and disputes are settled by the kings. Do you remember the story of king Solomon and two prostitutes? (1 Kings 3:16-28). That's just one out of many examples.

BTW, I've identified your problem 👇

Ignorance and poor education.

That's because the Local Government Chairman does not know or understand his or her work in the first place.

Culture › Re: Are Traditional Rulers Still Relevant To You As A Nigerian? by Bluna:
Of course they are very very relevant. In my town, domestic disputes, land disputes, communal crisis and other minor cases are settled in the king palace. Some years ago, when secret cults became too rampant in the town and the police could not stop them, it was the intervention of our king that saved us from those deadly boys. Many of them fled the town and dare not come back till today.

Politics › Re: The North Won’t Back Peter Obi And Kwankwanso Ticket — Yusuf Datti by Bluna:
sleek214:
We already know that. The north is for Atiku . Obi and Tinubu should share South votes. Atiku/ Makinde is the winning tickets. Picking Makinde is the best thing that will happen to Atiku. Buhari picked Igbo VP for 3 election and lost, he picked Yoruba and won. Atiku has picked igbos on 3 election and lost, he needs to pick a Yoruba this time..
That's what I've been saying. If Obi and Kwankwaso contest in another party, it is going to be a blessing in disguise for Atiku. Northern block votes is sure for Atiku. But you see south, Obi will split and spoil it for Tinubu, most especially in the SouthEast and SouthSouth.

I hope you don't include Ondo in this your prediction. At least 4 out of every 5 people here are raining curses on Tinubu everyday, even publicly on radio and tv programs. Many of us that supported and canvassed for him in 2023 are facing serious backlash from our people everyday. You can't force people who have been disappointed and impoverished by Tinubu's government to support him again. The poor performance of the current governor of Ondo State will also create more problem for Tinubu here. As long as people's votes will really count, Tinubu will struggle to win in Ondo State. Just wait and see

I am just curious, is it illegal to be a legal adviser to more than one political party? Other than conflict of interest, which the client has to decide, it it in itself illegal?

Because I think this supposed forgery will be worse than being a legal adviser to more than one political party.
The national legal adviser is a member of the national executive committee (NEC) of a political party. Same as party secretary, party chairman, treasurer etc. It is not appropriate to be a NEC member of two different parties at the same time. In the case of Egwuaba, he is listed on INEC portal as a NEC member of APM and NDC.

Politics › Re: Our Legal Adviser Resigned From APM Since Last Year - NDC by Bluna:
I disagree that INEC forgot to update the details on their portal since last year. They deliberately allowed the same name to appear twice with two different political parties. They did it on purpose. INEC is too biased and compromised.

I think obi going to ndc is an own goal…. Even if he wanted to leave ADC, he should have gone somewhere else, reason being that the leadership of ndc is by court Oder, they might be sacked by the same court owned by Tulumbu…. In that country called Nigeria, there’s no rule of law, very easy for Tulumbu to mess with ndc .

Only time shall tell
Is there any opposition party that is not going through leadership crisis at the moment? I doubt if there's any. At least I know there are crises in SDP, LP, PDP, Accord, NDC, ADC and AAC.
Politics › Re: INEC Urged To Probe Alleged Dual Membership In APM, NDC by Bluna:

Yes,he needs to. He can't be on the seat, then pursuing another office. Even those in Bat's cabinet resigned as well, when he told them to ,if they had got intention of pursuing another office..

That was how minister of darkness, said he wants to be governor of On Your Own. Oyo State.. he has since resigned
You are wrong 💯. He can resign after the election, but not necessarily before the election. Many governors in the past have contested for senate when they were still in power. Some are currently planning to contest too, like Dapo Abiodun of Ogun. The examples you gave up there is only applicable to political aponitees like ministers etc. A governor is politically elected, not appointed.
