I am a manufacturer. I know how much it cost me every week to run the generators. I've lost so much this year due to epileptic power. I have no reason to vote Tinubu again because he has failed to fix electricity problems. The situation has even got worse under his government. We hardly enjoy 2 hours in a day and my press is located in an industrial area o. A stable electricity would've solved at least 50% of Nigeria's economic problems. But this government is wasting money on coastal roads that have no direct benefit on the masses. Everybody needs electricity to survive both economically and socially, but Nigerians don't need coastal road to survive. Tinubu has really misplaced the priority of the people.

Activism has died in Nigeria since the days of Buhari. Most of the youths we have nowadays are cowards. This is not how we siddon dey look in the 80s/90s. It seems the spirit of Aluta is dead. This generation is not ready to take their destiny into their hands, they are rather waiting on old men like Soyinka, Adeboye and Falana to fight for them. I participated in June 12 struggle, we hit the streets and fought it out with soldiers. We did our best during our time, despite the fact that things were not as terrible then as it is now. Naija youths of today are cowards. They can only rant and cry on social media.

You want her to go and square up against Okpebholo, Oshiomhole, and the APC's hyenas and tigers in Edo State during the main election?

Oga, sometimes you have to pick your battles where you at least stand a chance of surviving.

In Abuja, she has a fighting chance. In Edo State, the APC would devour her

You think say na social media grandstanding
.. and you think she has a better chance in the FCT.

As we can all see, she has clearly picked a wrong battle ground by contesting in Abuja. Ordinary primary she could not even win. What humiliation could be more than this? grin grin

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Real Madrid Named Football's Most Valuable Club by Bluna(op): 4:33pm On May 29
Real Madrid have been named the most valuable club in world football, with Barcelona overtaking Manchester United to move into second place.

In Forbes' annual list,
external, Real Madrid have been valued at $9.5bn (£7.06bn), up from £6.75bn (£5.02bn) a year ago, with Barcelona second at $7.5bn (£5.57bn) and Manchester United third at $7.2bn (£5.35bn).

United's revenue was $865m (£643m) for the 2024-25 season, a campaign in which they finished 15th in the Premier League and lost in the Europa League final.

The Premier League has six teams in the top 10 and 11 in the top 30.

Liverpool, who won the English title in the 2024-25 season, remain fourth with a value of $6.2bn (£4.61bn) while Manchester City drop from fifth to seventh at $5.5bn (£4.09bn).

Bayern Munich stay sixth ($5.7bn, £4.24bn) but 2024-25 European champions Paris St-Germain ($5.8bn, £4.31bn) move up from seventh to fifth.

Arsenal ($5.4bn, £4.01bn) are eighth, with Chelsea ($4.2bn, £3.12bn) ninth and Tottenham ($3bn, £2.23bn) 10th.

However, the Gunners could well move up the list next year as they have won the Premier League for the first time in 22 years and play PSG in the Champions League final on Saturday.

Despite Real Madrid and Barcelona taking the top two spots, the only other La Liga club in the top 30 is Atletico Madrid in 11th.

With 11 sides in the top 30, the Premier League is the most represented competition. There are also seven Major League Soccer teams in the list, as well as four from Italy's Serie A, three from the German Bundesliga and one apiece from France's Ligue 1 and Portugal's Primeira Liga.

On average, the 30 teams are worth $2.9bn (£2.15bn), a 21% increase from 2025's record $2.4bn (£1.78bn).

The other Premier League sides in the top 30 are Aston Villa ($1.4bn, £1.04bn) in 16th, Newcastle United ($1.25bn, £935m) in 19th, Everton ($930m, £692m) in 25th, Fulham ($920m, £685m) in 26th and Brighton ($910m, £678m) in 27th.

franchasofficia:
You are correct that Atiku will sweep Northeast and Northwest.

But how is he going to get a good show in Ondo, Oyo and Osun? Except Makinde is going to run with him. Aregbesola will give him some edge yes but not enough to give him a win, at most he might get 25% in Osun state only.

Southwest is going to be on lock down for Tinubu.

Atiku should be gunning for a rerun by making sure he sweeps the entire Northwest and Northeast and not allow Tinubu get 25% in most Northeast and Northwest states, thats the only way he can stand a chance through rerun which will lead to realignment.
Was aregbesola not in Osun when Atiku won in 2023? I'm very well on ground in Ondo but I don't want to reveal too much here. Those who will work against Tinubu in Ondo are currently in APC. As for Oyo, Makinde and Atiku are political allies. I didn't say Atiku will win in those 3 states, but he'll surely have substantial votes. Many underground political scheming are going on at the moment. You people don't know beyond what you read in the news. Siddon there dey do political calculations of what you know nothing about. I just showed your post to a senior colleague here and she couldn't stop laughing at your ignorance. Politics na your mate?? grin grin
Politics › Re: Debunking The Lies That A Divided Opposition Favors Bola Tinubu In 2027 Election by Bluna: 8:37am On May 29
franchasofficia:
If you took time to read through my proposition with open mind, you can see that I clearly stated it that Atiku Abubakar will win Northwest and Northeast with bigger margin than he did in 2023 because he has automatically inherited majority (not all) of Buhari's Northern supporters.

That being said, Northern bloc vote is not enough to make him President, he needs to also do well by scoring at least 25% of total votes cast in two more Southern regions, which will be highly impossible with Obi and Tinubu on the ballot and considering the fact that no sitting Governor from the South is backing Atiku like he had in 2023.

If you consider all these factors, you will realize that Atiku will become Buhari of 2003, 2007 and 2011 who always won Northeast and Northwest with wide margin but usually fail to get 25% in the South until he finally aligned with Tinubu, Amaechi, Rochas, Chris Ngige, Fayemi, Oshiomhole, etc in 2014/2015 which gave him inroads in the South and he won.

Yes a united opposition would have been better in resisting Tinubu's rigging agenda, but still, if each candidate holds their stronghold or base tight and stand against Tinubu's rigging plans in their stronghold, it is still the same.

The only advantage Tinubu have in this upcoming 2027 Presidential election is the power of incumbency, that's all
Atiku will sweep the entire north and have a good show in Ondo, Oyo and Osun. I'm not asking to believe me; just wait and see.
Politics › Re: Debunking The Lies That A Divided Opposition Favors Bola Tinubu In 2027 Election by Bluna: 6:19am On May 29
I can see that this OP has already written Atiku off in his blind postulation. You people should know that both Tinubu and obi don't have better chance than Atiku. Yes opposition will split the southern votes but Atiku will hold sway in the north. Core north will never give Obi their block votes. You should continue to underrate Atiku at your own peril. E go shock una.

Health › Re: Edo Children’s Day Celebration: Students Land In Hospital by Bluna: 12:36pm On May 28

An eye witness said the chaos started when some male students said to be from Ihogbe College reportedly made compromising advances at some female students. A parent who witnessed the incident was quoted as saying that “the behaviour of those uncultured students attracted the attention of bouncers stationed at the stadium as they rebuked the male students.”

According to him, the affected students later regrouped and attacked the bouncers, leading to a confrontation within the crowded arena. It was gathered that in the confusion that followed, the bouncers were reported to have deployed pepper spray in an area occupied by a large number of students.
