In Igbo Land,, if you do anything good for anybody,, you just did the thing for that person alone, and not for his Kindred or for his community.
If you want to do something for a people, do something that benefits them ALL AT ONCE.. Don't just come and pick one person -- and then count it that you did something good for that community.
GistMedia0: A deeply emotional and chilling scene played out during a burial ceremony as a grieving mother made a heartbreaking yet unusual plea to her deceased son. In a viral video that has since stirred conversations online, the mother can be seen placing a knife and a broom inside her son's coffin, issuing a tearful instruction for him to avenge his death from beyond the grave.
Surrounded by mourners and sympathizers, the woman—visibly shattered by the loss—stood over the lifeless body of her son, who laid quietly in his casket. With each word, pain echoed in her voice as she called on his spirit to rise and deal with whoever might be responsible for his untimely passing.
According to the report, the mother strongly believes that her son did not die a natural death and suspects foul play. Her symbolic act—placing the knife and broom—has deep traditional roots in certain African cultures, where such items are believed to aid the spirit in carrying out posthumous justice.
So,, TIB wrote the police and told them about their planned peaceful protest -- the police now prepared themselves and came out to disperse the protesters.
Would they expect future protesters to write them ahead of time whenever they want to protest again.?
fergie001: Well, if heads don't roll for this, then there is no hope with Kekere-Ekun as CJN.
I can't fault or support the judgement because we haven't seen the facts, but snippets show that all three judges agreed there was substantial non-compliance by INEC, where they differed was in the computation. We will see how it goes after tomorrow.
Thanks so much..
If they agreed to the non-compliance,, then there is great hope.
What I see INEC doing is aiding and guiding petitioners on how to perfect their illicit acts," Senator Natasha said regarding the ongoing recall process” — Senator Natasha
If these people have started using this NIN in the PROPER WAY meant for it, rather than using it NOMINALLY,, they would have used this NIN to determine all those Registered Nigerians who have died. And then, indicate accordingly for them that they are deceased.
Kekere-Ekun isn't impressing me a bit... I am been honest, it's like Ariwoola is still on board.
Forget it, that's the judgement....
I will wait for what the CJN will do... This happened in Igbeke v Okadigbo, that a Supreme Court Judgement leaked.
Vexed by that, on the day of the judgement the appellant who lost the case, presented the judgement right in front of the Justices before their own judgement. There was serious investigation and 6 workers of the FJSC (5 in the Supreme Court & 1 in the Appeal Court) were suspected, investigated, had their phones subjected to forensic examination, arrested, named and sacked.
Aloma Mukhtar was CJN, she fired many Judges for the rubbish these ones condone.
I don't know why I am feeling so bad about this whole thing.
I just hope and pray that this is really not the real judgement. It tastes too bad to the brain.
Factcheck0001: He's stylishly saying Nigeria is a zoo now n when it's time for election this same guy will want the world to explode when we reject him.
Nigeria is always a zoo till it's few months to election then it will suddenly become the best country in d world
I am yet to understand what you might have understood from what he wrote up there.
fergie001: In this matter, the Supreme Court side-stepped it. What I mean is that, the suit was struck out because one of the preliminary objections was sustained.
In a suit at the Apex Court, once a preliminary objection is upheld, the case is automatically struck out without delving into the merits or otherwise of the suit.
In this case, the preliminary objection that was upheld was that the 1st plaintiff did not authorise the suit. The matter was between Plateau State Government & Anor v. Attorney-General of the Federation & Ors..
The Supreme Court held that the head of the Plateau Govt at the time was Maj-Gen Chris Alli (rtd) and only him could authorise the filing of the suit.
What does this mean for Fubara? He cannot do anything.
The Supreme Court only assumes original jurisdiction on disputes between State v State and State v FG or vice versa. Fubara is no more Head or the State Govt and hence cannot approach the Supreme Court head on.
What he can do is approach the Federal High Court but he will only irk those who want his head especially with our current justice system. Moreover, the case could linger past the six months and hence, lying low will be best for now.
However, I dare say the only constitutional means of removing a Governor is via impeachment.
In summary,, what Tinubu did was illegal,, but there is nothing anybody can do about it.!!
..
Another Question here.!!
Can the Government of any of the other remaining 35 states through their Attorney General seek the interpretation of the supreme court for the Section:305 of the 1999 Constitution as amended.?? And whether the suspension of any duly elected political officers are part of what the proclamation of state of emergency entails.??
I want to know exactly what this judgement hereunder entails (it concerns the suspension of the then governor of Plateau State, Joshua Dariye -- see the link for the judgement),, and whether the judgement applies in the same vein to Fubara..
..
Is there anything Fubara is supposed to do differently in order to have a favourable judgement ((especially if he decides to go to the courts))..
