helinues:I need to also know from you, whether you consider the two results (that-is,, the polling-unit results and the collated results) to be the-same in all ramifications.?? |
helinues:Ok.. I will rephrase.. But before I do that.. Please, I need you to tell me the differences (and also the similarities) between POLLING-UNIT RESULT and COLLATED RESULT.. .. “.....I guess that's where you are missing the crux of the matter.....” |
lexy2014:We cannot continue like this. This is the simplest definition of extreme poverty. We are not beggars for goodness’ sake.. We need a system that is works for everybody,, where people work and get adequate value for the work they do. We don't want a system where we all have to sit helplessly and wait upon the government for them to give us food to eat.,, just because the system is not working and we have lost all trust that when we work we would get adequate value for our work. |
Fergie001.. .. |
Fineman2:DID TINUBU EVEN CAMPAIGN.?? He was busy attending outdoor parties and rallies. Is that a campaign.?? |
They are rubbing the poverty of the people on their faces.. Weaponization Of Hunger Just Got Institutionalized. |
During this upcoming protest.. Some people might decide to find that house and throw some petrol-bottle-fire-bombs inside it. |
Dagger111:If that CONGRATULATIONS would be the only thing that Tinubu needs from Obi,, then sorry bro. He will never ever get it. |
Giant of Africa. Kenya and Uganda were doing protests.. The world stayed and watched silently.. Nigeria Started to Protest. THE WORLD STARTED TO SEE IT AS AN AFRICAN AFFAIR. |
Rapmoney:The only problem I see with this thread is that the lecturers are still there. Which still means nothing, because it is supposed to be Departmental “PARTY”. She is putting the hall in a PARTY MOOD, after the whole Academic Award-giving events are done-and-dusted with. The whole write-up about gaslighting the institutions of research is just plain hypocrisy.. Or seeking for catchy headline. |
madridguy:You're not serious yet shaa.. Nigeria is the cause of those problems you highlighted. |
helinues:I know you didn't understand the main topic.. And also,, let me take it too that you didn't understand the question.. ... Cool down and read the main topic.. I took my time and treated this thing you stated here very well.. And read the question well and understand it properly before attempting to drop any answers abbegg. Thanks. And have a nice day. |
helinues:There were protests during his tenure.. They even did symbolic burial for him.. Which Protest is worst than that.?? Yet he spoke to them calmly, even as they carried their caskets on their heads in the name of protest.. Yet the same people later came back to apologize to him after things turned out good for them.. |
Kobojunkiee:They have successfully succeeded in gaslighting the guy.. Now, he wants to appear GOOD on both sides of the fence.. But it is no more possible at this time. It's either he stays on the side of the people and damn the consequences.,, or he remain silently sitting on the fence... THERE IS NO NEED SINGING AND DANCING ON THE SAME FENCE HERE.!! |
atiku4President:Igbos have patience.. But you see “Unconditional LOYALTY”.?? Igbos don't do that one.. That's Zombieism more-or-less.. |
fergie001:No matter the message of “INCLUSION” which they are trying to propagate or show,, they must NOT use any depiction that has the semblance to any item or image in any religion.. |
Afonjah:Only Peter-Obi can do that in Nigeria. Peter-Obi can also learn something from a-day-old kid,, so far the kid has something to say. |
Fergie001.. Is there a way to immediately get the INEC to put their INEC’s “Regulations and Guidelines” in order as quickly as possible.?? |
helinues:Thanks for asking. But please bro,, I would really need you to tell me the exact Sections or Paragraphs in the Electoral-Act-2022 or in the INEC’s “Regulations and Guidelines” respectively where the provisions are properly made for unforseen abnormal circumstances at any of the WARD-COLLATION CENTERS where there happens to be no physical results from ANY POLLING-UNIT UNDER SUCH WARDS?? Definitely,, it is clearly not the Paragraphs-93 & 94 of the INEC’s “Regulations and Guidelines” -- (as many people are believing). |
muykem:Please understand what I wrote before you start to refute the write-up.. I'm saying that the INEC’s “Regulations and Guidelines” clearly made provisions for abnormal situations where there's no collated results from a ward, (just like you said above),, but the document did not make provisions for abnormal situations where there's no primary results from a Polling-unit. Nobody told court that such situations arose in last election,, but then, the situations actually arose.!! And there were no clauses or paragraphs anywhere for what should be done when such situations arise.,, and thus, it became a biigg lacuna. I’m not blaming the judges.. No.. Not at-all.. I'm just saying that the statutes (the available laws) didn't treat all possible envisaged situations properly. And I quickly suggested what the INEC should do in order to put their INEC’s “Regulations and Guidelines” in order -- for the sake of all future elections and election petitions. So,, with that explained, I want to know why you are now mentioning the courts,, like as if I blamed the courts initially.?? |
One day,, we will definitely get our Elections Right in Nigeria. And it will happen in our own time. |
PLEASE CHECK-OUT THE ATTACHED PHOTO, AND STUDY IT VERY WELL BEFORE YOU CONTINUE TO READ THROUGH THE REST OF THE TOPIC. The photo shows the Paragraphs:93-&-94 of the INEC’s “Regulations And Guidelines”. The photo showed very clearly that the Paragraphs:93-&-94 of the INEC’s “Regulations And Guidelines” were referring to situations “Where there are No COLLATED RESULTS from the IMMEDIATE LOWER LEVEL COLLATION CENTERS”, and NOT where there are No “POLLING-UNIT RESULTS from the Various POLLING UNITS”. In-Fact, Neither the “Electoral-Act-2022” nor the INEC’s “Regulations And Guidelines” Clearly Stipulated what the First-Level Collation Officers (that-is, the WARDS COLLATION-OFFICERS) should do whenever there are No Hard-Copies of the “POLLING-UNIT RESULTS” from any of the various Polling-Units under their coverage, and also what the higher-level Collation officers should do whenever there are such situations at the First-Level Collation Center, (where there are no Hard-Copies of the Polling-Unit Results, and thus, the Alternatives Applied) The absence of this distinct clause in the INEC’s “Regulations and Guidelines” caused some confusions in the “2023 Presidential Election Judgement”; where the judges mistook the “COLLATED RESULTS FROM THE LOWER-LEVEL COLLATION” to mean “POLLING-UNITS RESULTS” which is not true. The simple truth here is that the Polling-Unit Results are totally different from the Collated Results, and they are not produced the same way, neither are they handled or verified the same way. These are two separate documents, which should not be treated the same way. The “POLLING-UNIT RESULTS” are supposed to have already been uploaded on the IREV, and should be verified with the IREV; while the “COLLATED RESULTS FROM LOWER-LEVEL COLLATION CENTERS” are not supposed to be on the IREV, and could easily be verified physically with the POLICE-COPIES or POLITICAL-AGENTS COPIES. HERE BELOW ARE MY FEW OWN SUGGESTIONS TOWARDS ELIMINATING THE AMBIGUITY AND CONFUSION IN THE PARAGRAPHS-93 & 94 OF THE INEC’S “REGULATIONS AND GUIDELINES” 1. The INEC should FIRST Amend their INEC’s “Regulations and Guidelines” accordingly, so that it can properly include what the Ward-Collation Officers should do whenever there are No Hard-Copies of the “POLLING-UNIT RESULTS” from ANY of the various Polling-Units under their coverage -- in line with the Electoral-Act-2022; especially with Section:64(5), and the whole of Section:64(6a, 6b, 6c, 6d) of the Electoral-Act-2022, and also what the higher-level Collation officers should do whenever there are such situations at the First-Level Collation Center. 2. The various Political Parties should learn How to raise EFFECTIVE DISPUTES at the various COLLATION CENTERS according to the dictates of Section:64(5); Section:64(6a, 6b, 6c, 6d); Section:64(7), and Section:64(8.) of the Electoral-Act-2022; so that the INEC Officers wouldn't be turning down their disputes due to ambiguity and lack of specificity.
