It should fly, though it depends on some factors.
Like which factors? Enlighten me

MY BRICKLAYER SAID I CAN BUILD A COMFORTABLE 3BEDROOM BUNGALOW FOR 3MILLION NAIRA

Client: How much will you charge for design and supervision of this 3bedroom apartment?

Me: Okay sir, send me your email, let me send you a bill.

Client: Ha, Architect. This bill is too much now. Okay, just do the design alone, I have a very good bricklayer, you don't need to supervise it again.

Me: Okay sir. But if we supervise the project for you, I can assure you that there will be value for money, quality job delivery and we'll help you reduce wastage of materials and cost of construction to about 30%. You will enjoy regular cost projection, proper negotiations, discounts on other materials, etc

Client: My bricklayer told me I can build the house for N3m. So, leave all those things you're saying.
Me: OK sir.

(We agreed on the design bill, he paid and we delivered a perfect job. He started showing everybody what we did for him).

(3MONTHS LATER)

Client: Architect, nawa for you oh, you didn't even ask about my building project. You can't believe that the bricklayer messed up the work for me. He changed many things on the design without telling me. He has wasted my money and materials. The house is not even looking like the 3D you did for me anymore. I have sacked him and I just decided to abandon the project for now. It's really annoying.

Me: Eeyah, I'm so sorry to hear this.

Client: I really need you to come to the site and help me see what 'we' can do to solve this problem.

Me: Okay sir. But I thought he was so confident that N3million will build the house. So, what has changed?

Client: See, just forget about that guy, he stole my Cement and had a bargain with the block supplier to be taking a cut on every block supplied to the site. I noticed that the blocks we bought initially were different from the ones supplied afterwards. When I complained, he said, I shouldn't worry, the blocks are strong. This is apart from the poor jobs he did for me.

Me: Wow. This is really bad. I'll call later to fix a time to meet you.
----------------

These are the similar conversations we have had with some clients, from failed building projects. Often times, we tell people not to bank on what their artisans tell them.

Not that they can't be correct, but we as professionals usually do in-depth analysis of what it costs to build a house. They will tell you a figure just to make you start and you'll expect that your house will be ready with that amount.

So, when you ask me, if 3 Million Naira will build a 3-bedroom bungalow, I'll tell you No, it will not. 3 Million Naira will probably take it to roofing level depending on the size of your building.

A lot of people have been deceived into such beliefs and they ended up realizing that they need about double or more of such amount to complete the house. Most people end up abandoning the project for a long time as a result of this.

Engaging experienced and trustworthy professionals like Architects, civil engineers and builders on your project will save you a lot of heartbreaks, sadness and will help you achieve your dreams.

Copied!
What about 7m ensuite with moderate finishing ?

Having owned a Lexus RX330 for 6.5years without a single issue, I'd gladly advice anyone to go for a Lexus ES but make it an ES330 and do not buy an abused unit. They're incredibly well built and would definitely serve you for a long time under normal maintenance. They aren't very expensive to maintain also.
That's great. The ES330 models start from 2004.

Luxury obviously goes to Lexus. The 03 Lexus has a V6 engine as standard and it's not very fuel efficient. Handling is probably same. They are very similar cars over all. But I will go for a clean 03 Lexus. Personal choice
Sounds great!

Ok. I have only used a civic. It was a harrowing experience. I have been consistent with Mercedes. But I believe you are going to enjoy the Lexus better. Although the last edition of the big daddy is not bad also
Interesting... Thanks for the advice

The other side is NOT always as rosy as it seems.
Of course. Maintenance is key regardless. I just want to avoid cars with generally known manufacturer defects Transmission issues on old accord series is quite frustrating if you have used one. I remember my gear suddenly jerking while on speed on the express traveling. it was not pleasant at all.
Car TalkRe: Club-Lexus by bmarketing: 10:44pm On May 30, 2020
Conductor261:
Your choice. But remember that you already have enough knowledge of the brand. Mechs and part dealers.
Yeah, I understand but then again the car gave me too many issues. Transmission issues common with honda up to 2005 I think. I did not know about this about the time given it's my first car with no prior experience. Also, the 2008 evil spirit seems to have its own issues as well, I checked on carcomplaints and it was advised to avoid like plague as issues like excessive oil and brake issues. I just want to do it right this time and get a reliable car with optimum luxury and all.

Why not Honda evil spirit or anaconda? Which beats both of them combined together in interiors luxury and looks!
Interesting... The evil spirit is great too. I don't know maybe I just want to try other brands hence the switch.

Car TalkRe: ...2003 Honda Civic .......getting It Uber Ready...... by bmarketing: 9:51pm On May 30, 2020
dru23:
This is my currant car 03 civic to my fleet. This 03 toks civic was bought at least 3 months ago. I bought the car via auction.... This is the most costly civic so far and below were the issues. And part of the cost was logistic issue...

1. I bought the civic very high via iaa auction months ago.

2. At the time of purchase I underestimate the distance from auction site to my home . Which cost me an extra $300 and $90.00 in storage fees

3. The car had transmission issue: which I was not aware of at the time of purchase. It was listed Run and Drive

4. The car needed a paint job, but nevertheless the interior and exterior were in good shape. Engine was 162k miles.

The process of getting my Civic Uber ready

1. Transmission.... About 70k naira including cost of Honda ATF .. When it comes Honda transmission, you must use the recommended ATF ,this is non negotiable. Unless you want to be changing transmission every few thousand miles ..

2. Paint job .. 55knaira The whole car was painted in order for the car to come out good.

3. Linkage, brake pads, a/c coil, bushings and fire extinguisher, C caution sign and miscellaneous items about 70k naira. Also we change tires and rims to size 15. This way gives the car a better ground clearance. And also 04 and 05 civic comes with size 15 rims and tires. The 02 and 03 civics are only 14size rim and tires , I dont know why.....

4. Oil change: This is where Mobil 1 Extended Performance comes in 5w20. I can't do with out my Mobil 1 extended performance. It is like bringing a knife to a gun fight without it .. 17k naira value

The total cost of getting the car uber ready, including purchasing, unforseen expenses is 1.6m naira .

And to potential investor are you ready for this uber business. Do you have the time and patient to make it work. If you are not hands on this business is not for you. If you are just looking for someone to manage for you, this business is not for you ..
As much as I spend so much getting the car uber ready. I also take my time matching good driver to the car. Just like any corporation does, you need time to search for good candidates that will meet the criteria for the position. Anything you rush yourself into ,you are at a risk rushing yourself out .. The dynamics of this business requires time and patients . It is a tough business and I would not recommend it anyone that is not hands....

Conclusion: Before you invest in this business think of the time you need to put in and cost . I will not advise anyone to give their cars out there for someone to manage for them. But if you want drive yourself than this business is perfect for you.
I get so many people asking me to help them manage their cars. I always tell them 'NO' because I know the stress I go through each day. The truth is that even uber fares are highly favorable to drivers, some of them will still give excuse not to deliver.
And at times owners are to blame for the failure of the business. A lot of them dont understand the business their getting into. They just look for drivers and expect daily or weekly alerts. Drivers at the sametime don't care, they think they are doing you a favor. Some of them have good rental deals ,but they still mess up..

PS..... Civics are still the best cars for me . Better than Corolla, elantra, Kia etc .. Easy to maintain and cost of buying a good tokunbo should not pass 1.5m naira.
Nice one baba. I sent you a PM. Please check. Thanks a lot!

It was a sweet and bitter experience, even though i was able to breakeven after selling off all my cars and recoup my invested money ,its a terrian made for men as u will need to battle some drivers that are unwilling to pay up as at when due as most hv already sworn to tell stories immediately they take custody of the car.The cost of repairs and loss to accident is high which made the business quite risky . I managed the business for 1year. The grass is never greener on the other side grin Thats my lesson
Ma'am you really tried. I'm about to enter the business and will appreciate some tips for management. Sent you a PM. Please check thanks

Enough to show that your sponsor has not exhausted all their savings on you. After tuition and edu-bond , from #1m is fine alongside proof that they have a steady monthly income.
Thanks once again! Please is it mandatory that the bank account statement must be for the same account used to pay the tuition and edu bond? If not, can we tender a separate account bank statement with inflows and decent balance still owned by the sponsor and we won't need to tender the bank account used to pay the tuition and edu bond? Like we don't need to show proof of funds used to pay the tuition and edu bond again? Thanks for all!

Can't say for now.
Yeah that could work too

My advice to you is that traveling to study is a holistic process, choose a useful course that is lucrative in the world, check the school admission requirement, compare tuition fee of different schools in Lithuania, select a city with opportunities for foreigners(very important), gather documents for application(original waec or neco certificate, international passport, transcript, B.sc cert etc) remember date of birth in results should tally with international passport),

I wish you success
What if DOB on the passport does not tally in waec but we have affidavit to show the correct date as on the passport?

I have somebody that finish from Griffith college in Dublin and is working now in Dublin. He told me that I should carry at least 700 euros for accommodation but I can might be lucky to see room of 500 euros. But Griffith have hostel shall I might decide to stay in their hostel before I go settle down to rent my own house
Interesting...Now the major hurdle is how to get the VISA because the money required is quite much even more than the budget I have which I was confident should be able to get me in, given I'm a self sponsor. So one has to pay for all tuition for Griffith (11,775 or 12,775 euros after discount) and I'm here thinking 70% to 80% part payment will do at least so I will able to get the edu bond as well. But then again we still need to show bank statement with extra funds with consistent flow or have to explain how you got the large funds. Too many constraints ahead mehn...

Yeah that is for post graduate in cork and Limerick. Thinking of schooling there too but my elder brother keep insisting that it should be Dublin that things happen in Dublin more than the rest town and dey is a better chance of doing work as a student unlike the rest town
Exactly brother Dublin is expensive unless we can get more information on accommodation; how much we should be expecting for rent then one may opt for Dublin and plan ahead. Also part time jobs will help to offset the living expenses.

Griffith requires full Tuition. However, if due to the Pandemic they will be accepting partial fees then it will be clearly stated on your OFFER LETTER. Tuition also comes down to 11775 or 12775 after the discount.

Opting for EDU-Bond does not exempt bank statements , kindly take note
Thanks for the reply. Please what’s the minimum balance optimum for the bank statement given that I would have paid the tuition and also the edu bond leaving the account very low in cash.

Thanks once again!
TravelRe: GENERAL Irish (student)visa & Work Permit-New THREAD*** by bmarketing: 4:23am On May 23, 2020
Please house, I'm looking at MSC network and information security at Grifith College Limerick or cork instead of Dublin due to the expensive life in Dublin. Anyone there that can give me more knowledge please? Also, how is Limerick or cork in terms of job prospects for part-time jobs as a student and fulltime based on my choice of study?

Also, the information I got on their website is that we will be given 2,000 euros bursary discounts once we get an offer reducing the tuition from 12k to 10k euros. Is this true?

Lastly, if I pay 70% to 80% of the 10k tuition and also pay the 7k euro bond, do I have a chance of getting VISA without tendering any bank statement. I'm self-sponsor and the account inflow will not meet the requirements for that.

Thanks a lot!
