Politics / Re: Is Nigeria Ready For A Female President? by bobezey(m): 1:52am On Apr 04, 2007
I don't think that it's time for that as at yet. Nigeria is a macho nation
and it will take a little bit of time to fully accept the leadership of a
woman in Aso Rock.

Are there brilliant women that can do the job ? Of course, yes. But,
the time is not now. Let's leave it at that.
Politics / Re: Our Girls Are Not Interested In Politics? by bobezey(m): 1:47am On Apr 04, 2007
Well fellas don't forget the saying, "For every successful politician, there is a woman".

Cannot underestimate the girls power" ! OF course, they are born
politicians, Can't you see how they run our households, ? Do I need
to say more, ? lol
Foreign Affairs / Re: Israel Plans Nuclear Strike On Iran by bobezey(m): 1:41am On Apr 04, 2007
It's totally inconceivable that such an attack will take place. Again,
there is no justification for it. Such a blatant attack on a sovereign
nation without provocation is against international law and contrary
to all conventional wisdom.

The result will be catastrophic to say the least. The entire Arabic
peninsula will be in flames, a retaliatory strike by Iran will
further destabilize the region, and the whole neighborhood will
be devastated. There will never be a clear cut winner in a nuclear
confrontation of any kind. War is ugly and the consequences of
war is even more uglier than the war itself.
Lets hope that the state of Israel will not think about such things,
even if she feels that it can be done. It can never be pulled off.
Politics / Re: Court Rules: Atiku Free To Contest by bobezey(m): 1:25am On Apr 04, 2007
The courts have spoken. Its been so terribly turbulent for the past
several weeks and months leading to this election. We must put
all these problems aside for the sake of the nation, vote coming
April 21, and choose the best candidates to lead our beloved nation.

We have to realize that this electoral process, our democracy and the fate of our nation is bigger than all of us. We have to make this work folks.
Romance / Re: What Do African Men Want In A Woman! by bobezey(m): 2:10am On Apr 02, 2007
A good woman. Loyalty, warm heart and a tigress in the bedroom.
Romance / Re: How To Approach A Girl On The First Day? by bobezey(m): 2:07am On Apr 02, 2007
Well, that's easy. Just walk up to the girl pinch her in the ass (bottom)
and say "what's up my sista" , How re u doing.

My bet is if she doesn't slap the living daylights out of you, you are in like
Flint. Otherwise, you are you are on your own baba !

The alternative scenario, just be your self walk up to her and let your
animal charm do the magic. Nice, cute, light and innocent compliments helps. Don't lay it too thick otherwise it back fires and the flames will
consume you. Be subtle and tactful. Be a gentle bear.

Politics / Re: President Of Nigeria In 2007: Who? <Poll> by bobezey(m): 1:46am On Apr 02, 2007
A little civility fellas. This is not brawl, just a civilized threshhold where
we 're dealing with serious issues.

Just a cross-pollination of ideas, that's all. Remember , The world is not enough.!
Politics / Re: Is This New Development On Atiku A Way To Divert Attention Away From Ibb ? by bobezey(m): 11:01pm On Apr 01, 2007
Not really, everyone out there are fighting for their political lives.
The Atiku saga is just one of those electoral windfalls that goes
with the election process. Everyone is posturing to edge out one another by any means necessary, even going as far as violating the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. we have seen it happen. The courts have been so busy lately clearing out all the consitutional questions. Never a dull moment.

No matter how you cut it, in-fighting during an election year is
always there. The winner takes it all, and the looser oh well your
guess is as good as mine. It's a "dog eat dog" scenario and at the
end of the day, the last man standing takes the loot and run for the
hills.

Question: Is this new development on Atiku a way to divert attention away from IBB? My answer is No. IBB has his own sinister plans and he is the kind of man that knows what to do to get his price. And there's not ifs, ands, or buts about IBB'S MO ( Modus Operandi). What he wants , he can get. That's the kind of warrior he is. The man is definitely an old sea dog.
Politics / Re: Where Are The Political Orators by bobezey(m): 9:23pm On Apr 01, 2007
Political Oratory is not popular these days in our nation.
It really doesn't help to correct the inadequacies in our
young democratic establishment if the politicians talk the good talk and
then make a U-turn and cheat and steal and empty the
coffers of our nation.

Forget the good and smart talk. I say do the right thing, speak from the
heart and not from the corner of the mouth. Kabish!
Politics / Re: Who Will Rule Lagos Come May 2007? by bobezey(m): 9:15pm On Apr 01, 2007

Politics / Re: President Of Nigeria In 2007: Who? <Poll> by bobezey(m): 9:13pm On Apr 01, 2007
Oh dear. What can I say. They speak the same language and promise the same things. Totally hard to say who the honest "thief" is. They
quack and moo and hiss the same way.

When all is said and done, when the cloud clears after the elections, the elected officials go back and retort to doing what their predecessor did.
What is point in picking a wolf in sheep's clothing if you can't distinguish between his fangs and his hooves.

Am totally lost here. I say let the process do the picking for us. And God help us all. Pretty much like mission impossible folks.
Politics / Re: What Can Honest Nigerians Do to Stop 'Nigerian Scams'? by bobezey(m): 9:02pm On Apr 01, 2007
419ers are like cancer in our society. We really don't need to cuddle them anymore, and give them a slap on the wrist each time we drag them to court.

We really need to drag them to the gallows and finish the SOBs off. That's the best deterrent for their despicable acts. The psychopats are
doing more damage to our nation than you can ever imagine. Our country is looked upon by other nations as terribly retarded because of
these selfish and disgusting criminals. I say punish them to the full extent of the law or better yet "hang them high" Period.

You don't need to rehabilitate these fools. We need to get them off our
streets and our of our national lives. Public execution sounds good to me.
Politics / Re: Our Girls Are Not Interested In Politics? by bobezey(m): 8:50pm On Apr 01, 2007
No way ! you got to be kidding. Actually most of our girls and or ladies are closet politicians. And guess what, they know more politicians than
the guys. Think about it. Our women grace every national political function, they attend every political rally and at the end of the day, come back home and do what they have to do to keep our politicians happy in the bedrooms. What ?

They are like king makers lurking in the background and calling the shots. Are you kidding !

So folks speak for yourselves. lol.

Politics / Re: How Will History Remember Obasanjo? by bobezey(m): 8:37pm On Apr 01, 2007
Our out going civilian Prez Obj is who he is. His legacy , ? On the scale of 1-10, I'll say 2 or less. Do I need to say more.
Politics / Re: What Will You Tell Obasanjo If He Comes To Nairaland? by bobezey(m): 8:32pm On Apr 01, 2007
That we respect what he has done for the nation as a career soldier,
as a former military head of state and a civilian head of Government
but, it's high time he passed the buck and step aside so that the political
process will some root in our fragile nation.

We must not judge him harshly because he is a product of a corrupt military regime and civilian administration. He need to go back to the farm, and be happy.
Politics / Re: New Police Uniform by bobezey(m): 8:16pm On Apr 01, 2007
The new police uniform is clean and it looks good. Nice touch but,
we really have to once again, remember that our police Corps is
underpaid, under equipped, under nourished and terribly corrupt.

Fitting the police Dept with a new garb is not the answer to our
national problem. Efforts has to be made to lift the morale of the
NPF (Nig.police force) so that they can live up to their creed , "To
serve and to protect"

They have to be paid properly, equipped properly and trained
properly so that they can do their job and help keep the nation
safe.
Politics / Re: Us Wants All Candidates To Contest by bobezey(m): 8:00pm On Apr 01, 2007
Folks we have a huge problem here. A rotten and a messy political problem. For sure, a million candidates can contest the presidential election we don't have a problem with that. We can reeducate the
electorate too. The same sentiments actually. The technical aspect
of the process is not the problem but, the individual corrupt elements
who make up the core of our governing body.

The inherent corrupt practices, the cancer that has eaten too deep into
the fabric of our political process is what we should be worried about.

Our nation has been suffering for decades at end ever since we had our
independence. The public has been totally forgotten, abandoned and left to rot. The so called elite politicians have systematically squandered
every shred of the national pride that we once had. Things have fallen
apart.

Like I said, Tom , Dick , and Harry can walk in and contest the elections undeterred but, the results are what we have to worry about. Your vote and my vote might not even count. Why? Because there are dark forces
out there already who are poised to rig the national elections in a tip of the hat. That is the sad thing.

So folks the die is cast. Let us ope our eyes and our minds to what we
are dealing with. It's the sinister double-headed monster that we must have to slay (corruption and corrupt election practices) and only then can we stand up and say for sure, that all is well with our electoral process. You can for sure "wash a pig, clean a pig and all that but, folks a pig will always be a pig"
Politics / Re: Presidential Debate Begins April 2 by bobezey(m): 7:31pm On Apr 01, 2007
The presidential elections debate in Nigeria is just one big farce.
Candidates find themselves engaging in discussions that will never
amount to anything. They make hyped up and open ended promises
and when the elections are over, It's business as usual.

Nothing will be done differently and the nation continues to drift into
a point of no return. I say forget the debates and let us elect someone
who can really give the nation a new direction., a new sense of worth and pride and a new mandate to face the future as an new and improved giant of Africa.

Believe me, the debate is a joke. we really don't need those kinds of
circus anymore.

Politics / Re: Obj Vs Atiku What Happened To Integrity? by bobezey(m): 3:38am On Mar 07, 2007
It S called politicking. Our politicians are still light away from taking a
a positive step to wards doing the civilized thing - respecting each
others political view and political convictions.

"Dog eat dog kind of politics" still prevails and it is a terrible cancer that has eaten into the core of our nations soul. Really sad actually.

Those two men must try everything humanly possible to find a way to
compete and win without beating each other senseless with uncivilized
and wicked politics.

Romance / Re: Help! I Am In Love With My Pastor by bobezey(m): 3:19am On Mar 07, 2007
The virtue of the human heart and having a special spot in our hearts
for a fellow mortal human has been with us for ever.

It warms the heart to love and care about someone. And it's even more
wonderful to feel and to be cared for.

There is nothing wrong with having these feeling for a preacher, a pastor or a spiritual counselor provided they are single and unattached. Otherwise, you will be setting yourself up for ( you guessed It) . Do I need to say more?

Romance / Re: Is True Love For Real by bobezey(m): 3:05am On Mar 07, 2007
True love. Probably an illusion . Then again if it truly warms the heart,
I say "that is the real McCoy "

A 21st century romance is like a bag of tricks and goodies. All that glitters in most cases are not gold. True love is just like an open ended
road . You never know when you are seeing a mirage or when you are
floating through cloud 9. Too hard to say folks.

Anyone ever seen the "wind?"
Dating And Meet-up Zone / Re: What Do Women Want From Men by bobezey(m): 2:50am On Mar 07, 2007
Just a follow up to my earlier little comment. I really believe that women
are like fine wine - they get better with age but, in the process they get
terribly out of touch with what they want , how they want it and when
they want it.

IT s not really a matter of beating this observation to death with a stick
but, I have over the years, found out that it is a common virtue with women of all ages. Not really having a clue of what they really want at any particular time.

You can't live with them, and believe me you can't
live without them either. Pretty much like catch 22 if you ask me.
Dating And Meet-up Zone / Re: What Do Women Want From Men by bobezey(m): 3:30am On Mar 06, 2007
What do women want, ?

Comfort, compassion, security, caring, lots of love, loyalty, family
and u guessed it lot of sex and affection and a warm heart and  a
shoulder to hold on to when they are sad.

Then again  what do i know. Some times am totally confused about
what a woman is thinking or feeling. A woman is like an enigma code.
You have to be smart and clever to twist that Tigers tail folks. You catch
my drift. Women in general are really big "babies" what can I say.
Politics / Re: EFCC Probes President Obasanjo by bobezey(m): 3:54am On Mar 05, 2007
Corrupt practices in our nation is as old as the "old profession". I believe that every politician and every ex military ruler out in the
political threshhold has got one or two skeletons in his or her
cupboard.

Whether or not Pres. Obasanjo is corrupt is not the point - the
nation is going through a radical transition and a rebirth. The
transfer of power from a democratically elected civilian administration
to another.

We need to focus all our collective energies to make this an historical
journey a reality. All hand must be on deck to to this right.

All eyes of the all civilized nations in the world are upon us. Lets get
beyond our differences and try and get to the promise land. After that,
a commission of inquiry should be set up to investigate all concerns with
political corrupt practice, Pres. Obasanjo included. That's what we have to do. At the moment, we have lots of work to do.
Business / Re: The New Naira Coins And Polymer Notes by bobezey(m): 3:24am On Mar 05, 2007
The introduction of a batch of new currency is a bold step in a new
direction. The nation needed that new face lift.

Just a good reminder that we are a vibrant new democracy hoping
for a change in the right direction. Getting our people involved in
form of commitment and an assurance that growth is with us. That our nation is riding a wave of hope,  in building a better and a more
robust and sustainable economy. Great move.

I salute these new brides of fresh currencies. God bless Federal Republic of Nigeria.
