PoliticsNed Nwoko Set To Dump PDP For APC by Bobloco(op): 9:12pm On Jan 18, 2025
STRONG indications have emerged that the Chairman, Senate Committee on Reparations and Repatriation, Senator Ned Nwoko (Delta North), has concluded arrangements to dump his party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Even though the Senator has not made an official announcement of his defection, when Vanguard contacted him on the development, asking if there were plans for him to leave the PDP for APC, he simply replied thus, “soon”.

Nwoko has been a vocal critic of Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori.

He may be moving to the ruling party to join his predecessor, Senator Peter Nwaoboshi, following his frosty relationship with PDP leaders in the state.

It was also gathered that another reason for leaving the party is because the immediate past governor of Delta, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa who was the senator representing Delta North before Nwaoboshi, is plotting to return to the Red Chamber in 2027 under the same platform of the PDP.

PoliticsHardship: Nigerians Must Be Commended For Being Resilient – Cleric by Bobloco(op): 8:55pm On Jan 18, 2025
The lead pastor of Harvest House Christian Centre, Rev’d Niyi Eboda, has praised the resilience of Nigerians in the face of ongoing hardships, emphasising the importance of community and faith as pillars that supported the nation through its trials.

He spoke yesterday in Ibadan while announcing a special church programme, tagged: “Night of Mercy,” an evening of prayer and praise.

Rev’d Eboda outlined the myriad of challenges currently plaguing the nation, including economic instability, rising unemployment rates, and a persistent security crisis that has left many in fear.

He reflected on how these issues have affected the daily lives of citizens, straining families and communities alike.

“Every day, millions of Nigerians wake up to the harsh realities of life, struggling to make ends meet, grappling with food insecurity, and dealing with the burden of education costs.”

“Yet, despite these overwhelming odds, the spirit of the Nigerian people remains unbroken. We are a nation forged in hardship, and our collective resilience is a testament to our unyielding faith,” Rev’d Eboda stated.

He further noted the critical need for unity in times of crisis, saying that: “It is in our togetherness that we find strength. We must support one another, share our burdens, and uplift those who are suffering. Our ability to stand together in the face of adversity is what defines us as a people.”

Rev’d Eboda also urged Nigerian leaders to take their responsibilities seriously, stating that: “Leadership is not a privilege; it is a sacred duty.”

“Our leaders must prioritise the welfare of the people over personal gain. They must listen to the voices of their constituents and work tirelessly to create a better future for all.”

While announcing the church programme, tagged “Night of Mercy,” which will be held at the church’s premises on Wednesday, January 22, at 5:00 PM, he invited the congregation to come together for an evening dedicated to prayer, praise, and spiritual renewal.

“This event is not just a gathering; it is an opportunity for healing and hope. We will come together to pray for our nation, for our leaders, and for those who are suffering. We believe that through collective prayer, we can invoke change and find solace in our faith.”

“Every prayer counts. We are calling on all Nigerians to join us as we seek divine intervention in our lives and in our nation. Together, we can overcome the challenges that confront us,” he added

PoliticsObi To Write Tinubu Over Exorbitant POS Charges by Bobloco(op): 6:40pm On Jan 18, 2025
Former governor of Anambra State and presidential candidate of the Labour Party, LP, in the 2023 general election, Mr Peter Obi has protested the level of hardship faced by the poor in Nigeria.

Obi lamented the travails of low income earners and the exorbitant sums charged by POS operators to Nigerians seeking to access cash.

The former governor spoke during a visit to the Archbishop Province on the Niger and Bishop of Awka Diocese of Church of Nigeria Anglican Communion, His Grace Alexander Ibezim.

He said: “The hardship in Nigeria is too much, how can the ordinary people survive. The woman who sells pepper by the road side has to pay huge charges to get her own money. How much is her profit margin and how much will remain after paying charges?

“No country is run like that. Don’t bother to interview me on that, I will write officially to the President on this and state all these things.

“These (POS Charges) is too much, no country is run like this,” Obi told journalists who approached him to speak on the matter.

Honestly, I am confused at the government arrangements with the agreement between it and Dangote.
Since the crude is supplied to Dangote in Naira, is the global spike in the crude oil prices supposed to affect it? The crude is local, the Naira is local, all are in a stable condition, so why the increase.

This government of Tinubu is not sincere in all it does. There is no transparency in this at all.
Watch how some urchinstons, paid agents, and BATerians defend this, telling you that oil is a global commodity priced in dollars. You may then begin to wonder what the purpose and benefits were of the naira crude deal between NNPCL and Dangote

FamilyPep's Love For Man City RUINED His Marriage by Bobloco(op): 5:47am On Jan 18, 2025

Pep Guardiola Cristina Serra Divorce Man City

Pep Guardiola's marriage is ending as he and his wife Cristina Serra prepare to separate.

News of Guardiola's divorce broke first in the Catalan press via Laura Fa and Lorena Vazquez reporting in Sport.

The surprising element of the story is the degree to which Man City are involved in the reasoning for the split.

According to Sport, Cristina's decision to end her 30 year marriage with Pep was made in December. That comes just after Pep renewed his contract with Man City, which he did on November 21st.

And while it will probably never be confirmed, it's hard not to draw obvious conclusions that the split is motivated by Guardiola's decision to extend his stay in Manchester to a decade.

After all, Serra left Manchester (along with her children) back in 2019 to return to Barcelona where she runs a family-owned fashion business.

For the last five years, her and Guardiola have been happily living apart as both remained committed to the professional parts of their lives.

Man City: Marriage Destroyers
But what was originally thought to be a four or five years stay in Manchester (after all, Guardiola's previous jobs at Barcelona and Bayern Munich lasted four and three years respectively) has gradually, renewal after renewal, gotten longer and longer.

Guardiola has had a tough time as Man City boss this season.

June 2025 was supposed to be the final stop, however.

Guardiola had delivered everything to Man City, winning the Treble in 2023 and turning City into the best club in the world with a squad loaded with superstars. Now he could walk away and return to life with his family.

However Man City's form collapsed in the Autumn of last year (due to poor squad planning and an unlucky injury to Rodri).

Guardiola lost four times in a row for the first time in his career and it truly felt like his historic run at City would end on a down note. Serra must have secretly been glad that her family could be reunited.

Guardiola, however, renewed his contract.

Then Ange Postecoglu's Spurs beat City's brains out 0-4 at the Etihad to celebrate that renewal.

Ange giving Pep some life advice after thumping him 4-0, probably:
© IMAGO - Ange giving Pep some life advice after thumping him 4-0, probably:
Five losses in a row because six defeats in seven games, which then ballooned into nine defeats, two draws and just one win between the end of October and Christmas Day.

Pep seeing City in that kind of a state will have felt professionally obligated to fix things before he left, hence renewing his contract, but to his wife it must have signalled that this is a man who will never "go home and be a family man" and, so, she ended things.

The pair are reportedly still on good terms, but you can't blame Serra for finally giving up on Pep ever stopping doing what he clearly feels compelled to do.

If you are wishing your president to fail, which means the country will fail and you are in the same country. How would they themselves succeed in a failed country?

Let me hide this here, justification should surface on this thread

I think it's time we have to be sincere with ourselves. The Obidients in particular, this is not how they played opposition for Christ sake. How can you be saying you are in the opposition and for that they are not interested in the progress of the country.

We Nigerians need to change our mentality about some certain things.. Irrespective of political affiliation, tribes or region, the progress of the country should be something mutual amongst us even with our differences.
I have warned you repeatedly to stop posting and creating senseless threads, but you refuse to listen.

To the bold, senseless question:

No one is wishing the president to fail.

The president was a failure from day one and you know it

You cannot accuse others of not wishing this country well when you yourself do not wish this country well.

Anyone who truly wishes this country well would never encourage or support the rise to power of a notorious narcotics trafficker, certificate forger, CIA agent, buccaneering power grabber engaging in criminal state capture, who has no plans for governing the country, but only an entitlement and egotistical statement: 'Emilokan.'

PoliticsEdo: ‘how Police Aided APC Officials, Thugs To Sack PDP From Secretariat by Bobloco(op): 8:43pm On Jan 17, 2025
The Edo State caretaker committee chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Dr. Anthony Aziegbemi, on Friday recounted how he was bundled out of the party’s secretariat by the All Progressives Congress, APC.

He alleged that the APC officials were backed by police officers from the state Government House.

DAILY POST reports that Aziegbemi disclosed this at a press briefing titled, ‘Criminal Trespass, Breaking and Entering, Stealing, and Malicious damage’, in Benin City.

Aziegbemi alleged that the APC has continued its brigandage, illegality, violence and assault on democracy.

He warned that the development could lead to a breakdown of law and order, leading to anarchy and chaos in the state.

He said the APC invasion of the PDP secretariat at 59 Airport road, Benin City started at 13.31 pm on January 16, 2025.

“The APC, using several Hilux vans and other vehicles, and led by Jarret Tenebe, deployed their thugs, backed by police officers from the Government House, to sack the Peoples Democratic Party from its secretariat on Airport Road, Benin City, the Edo State capital.

“The entire operation was violent and brutal as has never been heard of or seen before and sadly it lasted for more than an hour.

“The secretariat was vandalized, and there was wreckage and destruction everywhere. Banners and other materials were taken off and destroyed. Lives were put in danger, including mine as the chairman of the PDP in Edo State.

“I was forcefully bundled out of my office in the amidst ofp brutal assault and violence against my person.

“No doubt this is arguably the worst attack on democracy in any part of Nigeria since the nation’s return to democracy in 1999.

“Even military regimes before 1999 were not as violent or brutal against dissenting voices as the Okpebholo-led government since they took over office on November 12, 2024.

“The violent take over of the PDP secretariat by Okpebholo and the APC is a clear reflection of the reign of terror that the people of Edo State have witnessed over the past two months.

“We state unequivocally that we are the legitimate tenants of the said property. It is the same devious tactics deployed to sack and intimidate duly elected council chairmen and the vice chairmen out of office, using horse whips and other dangerous weapons.

“It is the same pattern that is deployed in motor parks and markets, where thugs operating under the protection of the state government harass, intimidate, and extort transporters and traders daily without restraint.

“We must unequivocally state that Edo is at the precipice. Democracy in Edo State is on fire. Worst still, the police and other security agencies in the State who are supposed to put them in check appear to be either complacent or complicit,” the Edo PDP acting chairman alleged.

He also called on the Federal Government, international agencies, civil society organizations, and other stakeholders to rein in Governor Monday Okpebholo.

Aziegbemi, who alleged that Okpebholo has unleashed lawlessness in the state, stressed that he should know the limits of his power as a governor.

He warned that the wind currently blowing in the state is an ill-wind which will blow no one no good
