richmond500: Ofcos people keep saying Atiku and Tinubu are not electable options, so I decide to use some spare time to find out about Obi portfolio, so I can give him my vote in 2027 and possibly campaign for him, since we all agreed that Tinubu and Atiku are not options.
My criteria for judging Obi was simple, I decide to search for at least 5 positive comments when he was a governor.
After 3yrs of rigorously searching online, I didn't even find a single comment that talked good about Obi. infact I had to look at most of those that are trying to sell him to us as the messiah, but almost all of them never said anything positive about him. Even the wicked Wike, Akpabio, Tinubu, Atiku , El-Rufai, Seriake Dickson, Yahaya Bello etc had some positive comments, but our messiah had none. I then concluded that searching for 5 comments is an impossible goal for me.
So I am bringing it to Nairaland, please if u have any positive comment about him, kindly drop it. No be to rush deh in.sult me as a defence mechanism Op, the worst thing you can do to yourself is lie and then actually believe or pretend to believe that lie. How can you tell such a bold-faced lie? Even if you don’t like Peter Obi or don’t plan to vote for him if he runs for anything, that’s still no reason to start spreading obvious lies. Politics › Why Will You Vote Or Not Vote For President Bola Tinubu In 2027? - Tribune by Bobloco(op): 5:10am On Apr 26, 2025 |
As politics of 2027 heats up, politicians and their handlers are scheming to take or retain power. In light of this, one of the biggest questions on the lips of most Nigerians, given the recent situation of the country, is: Will I vote or not vote President Tinubu in 2027? KINGSLEY ALUMONA presents responses from some Nigerians on this issue. Their views: Teekay Nation I rate his two-year regime so far as the worst government ever in Nigeria. If you check, the rate of unemployment in Nigeria is getting higher every day, and his policy is only in favour of Western Nigerians, and Nigeria is a country which is recognised with three majority tribes. For me, I am not voting him in 2027. Jasper Miller Tinubu does not have what it takes to revamp the dying economy he inherited from Buhari. All he could do was to add fuel to the already burning flame, and does not care about the suffering of the citizens. He is the second worst president after Abacha. I cannot vote such a man. Though he does not care about my vote, because votes do not count in this country. Akinkunmi Kameel I would vote for him again. Two years cannot be the measurement for one success in office. He has performed in some areas while he has not done anything in some sectors. However, allowing him to finish his tenure would not be a bad idea. Some messiahs could not develop their states of origin. We know them. They are religious war leaders. Tinubu will do better. Peter Chiabua Tinubu has failed. There are lots of deaths as a result of hunger, lots of killings as a result of insecurity and promises unkept. He appears to be making more money for governors to pocket. Most useless government if you ask me. Safiriyu Kabiru Tinubu is thinking about the future while most Nigerians are thinking about today. If you could think logically and critically, you would understand the wonderful mission of this political wizard. He is a great son of Africa. I would vote him because of my future. Hakeem Abiodun I did not vote for him in the first instance and still do not have any reason to vote for him again. Before he was elected, I told my people that if he won, the judiciary would be in trouble. I believe you all see what our judicial system has turned into. If he is reelected, then expect more hardship. Toll gates will definitely resurface in all Nigerian roads. Sweet Ice There are more poor people in the country than during the regime of former President Buhari. No food, no roads, no electricity, no medical care. Imagine a 700km road construction when people are dying on Lagos-Ibadan Expressway. Why should he ban Eedris Abdulkarim’s song? Loans here and there. No help for farmers and teachers. James Banks If 2027 is between Tinubu and moimoi, I would vote for moimoi without hesitation. His aversion to the existence of opposition, coupled with the policies of envy and the weaponisation of poverty he is promoting are enough for me to keep him at arm’s length. Dada Adewale I would vote President Tinubu again because he is the most genuine leader we have had who is sincerely tackling Nigerian problems. He revamped the moribund refineries, when all hope had been lost on them. Then, the NELFund student loans. He reduced our debt to the IMF, improved revenue to boost infrastructure and human capital development by all tiers of government. There are also landmark road constructions ongoing across the country, among other things. Abdullai mumud I would vote Tinubu because he is the best man with the required skill and team to move Nigeria to our promise land. Onoriode Nelson The way that they got into power is not credible, they make public office their birthright to claim from the ruled when it should be seen as a responsibility to be accountable to the ruled. Muideen Akanbi The truth of the matter is that we cannot continue to borrow money to pay fuel subsidy and the salaries of workers, and borrow money to convert dollar to naira. Let us use our economic policy to bring this country back. We should stop saying something bad about our country. Gbade Adedeji I would not vote for him because of insecurity and the government’s attitude towards what is happening in the country. I would vote for him if, between now and 2027, things change, at least 60 percent better than today’s brouhaha. Austin Onuoha Voting for Tinubu in 2027 is akin to taking Nigeria to the worst dictatorship and anarchy. Tinubu-led government is worse than the worst military government in the country. Lawlessness, insecurity, poverty, hardship, and criminality are elevated to the highest level under his government. https://tribuneonlineng.com/why-will-you-vote-or-not-vote-for-president-bola-tinubu-in-2027/ |
Politics › Re: Atiku Or Peter Obi: Who Should Lead The Coalition? by Bobloco: 9:51pm On Apr 25, 2025 |
JASONjnr: Well.... it will be hard.
Peter Obi focuses only in his region. The same mistake Buhari made.
Atiku is a northerner and this is the time for south.
There's no southern top politician that would come out to challenge Tinubu. Except Tinubu wants it that way.
Also, there's absolutely nothing wrong winning the election without opposition. This is the mistake most of you are making: 2027 isn’t about any region’s turn. Right now, the overwhelming focus of Nigerians especially those crushed under the weight of these disastrous economic policies disguised as reforms is to remove the most wicked, draconian regime in this country’s history. Woe betide any motherfker who dares say Tinubu should be allowed to finish eight years, or that it’s the South’s turn. That motherfker will be reminded that Tinubu and his gang never let Goodluck Jonathan, a Southerner complete his own eight years |
Politics › Re: 5 Strong Reasons Why Peter Obi Should Lead The Opposition Coalition (Opinion) by Bobloco: 9:23pm On Apr 25, 2025 |
zuby4real10: If any body thinks that obi can still repeat the figures he got in 2023 at 2027 that person is deceiving himself. What happened in 2023 elections was purely religious politics. I can bet with anything that 70% of christians irrespective of tribe and region that voted in 2023 elections voted for Obi while the Muslims votes were devided between Tinubu,Atiku and kwankwaso.I did not see that happening again in 2027 especially now that everybody understood that the Muslim Muslim ticket was just a tool used to win an election. I think the best thing for Obi is to merge with Atiku and contest together.
Obi can never ever defeat Tinubu if only 2 of them were in the ballot. I am very sure that even president Tinubu will be praying for both Obi nd Atiku to re contest separately in 2027. I repeat, strong merger is the only option left for the opposition if at all the stand a chance to win. The only way Tinubu can defeat Peter Obi is through blatant rigging, using state apparatus and deploying state machinery and thugs to snatch it, grab it and run away with it. If it comes down to a free and fair election devoid of voter inducement, coercion, intimidation, and the like, Tinubu would not secure more than 500,000 votes nationwide. |

JASONjnr: You shouldn't be tired going to foreign blogs to excavate bad publications/news about Nigeria to dump them on nairaland here.
You either post how IMF demotes Tinubu's economic policies or how World Bank is talking down on the country.
Be aware that Nigeria is bigger than anyone trying to align with the west.
If America isn't happy about Nigeria, let them go to hell.
Tinubu is probably not doing their bidding the same way they wanted GEJ to promote same sex marriage.
Nigeria isn't south Africa. A notorious narcotics trafficker, CIA asset, certificate forger, and power-hungry political buccaneer engaged in criminal state capture, now reportedly under the influence of the U.S., via the CIA, due to his drug trafficking history. Tinubu is believed to be controlled by the U.S.; he is viewed by some as a political puppet. It’s clear that Nigeria is not South Africa. South Africa currently holds the position as Africa’s largest economy, while Nigeria ranks fourth... Tinubu's making |

TimeManager: The Governor of a state has the right to block anybody he sees trying to play politics with the lives of his people, without no apologies.
-Kiss the truth! The only person playing politics here is the governor, and it is quite unfortunate. Why has he not directed the same rights, effort, and resources toward addressing the marauding killer herdsmen who are devastating the entire Benue State, engaging in violent sprees, destroying lives, property, and farmland? Had this been the case, it could have prevented the displacement of citizens, the creation of IDP camps, and the need for external visits. TimeManager, speak the truth you claim to embrace |

Father Governor, this is medicine after death. He contacted your ADC, and you acknowledged that fact.
We know what happened, it's all politics. The earlier statement issued by the Benue State Government, and later by your Principal Special Assistant on National Programs, Civil Society, Voter Education, and Strategic Interventions, Solomon Semaka, says it all: it’s politics, playing games with the lives of Nigerians, and Benue people in particular.
Father Governor should channel that same energy toward stopping the marauding killer herdsmen who are ravaging Benue State and going on a killing spree. That way, lives won’t be lost, properties won’t be destroyed, people won’t be displaced, there won’t be any need for IDP camps, and no one would need to come visiting. |
Politics › Peterside To Ibas: ‘You Can’t Come From Cross River To Impose Riff Raffs On Us’ by Bobloco(op): 9:55am On Apr 25, 2025 |
.....challenges Ibas
The Sole Administrator of Rivers State, President, Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas, retd., has been challenged to explain recent appointments of Local Government Sole administrators and others.
Atedo Peterside, President, ANAP Foundation and Founder, IBTC Bank, cautioned that the sole administrator has no right to come all the way from Cross River State to add fuel to fire already burning in Rivers State.
He accused Ibas of appointing riff raffs into offices of honour in Rivers, challenging him to tell Nigerians how he made choice his of appointments.
Peterside warned that Rivers people will not fold their hands and watch someone from another state destroy their resouces and inflame the situation.
He told Arise that the Sole Administrator either misread his brief or has no understanding of his role, adding that instead of coming to an inflamed situation to help achieve stability and healing, he might be inadvertently adding fuel to the fire.
“You see, in every situation, I always believe in giving people time to tell us who they are, what they’re about in effect, before you rush to judgment.
“When this Sole administrator was appointed, please check everywhere. I never made any comment about him, his competence, his integrity or anything. So what has changed?
“What has changed is that I think the Sole administrator either misread his brief or he has no understanding of what his role is.
“And instead of coming to an inflamed situation with a view to helping to achieve stability and healing, he might be inadvertently adding fuel to the fire.
“A given basis, he’s made some appointments. First of all, he emerged in an irregular manner. I would say the executive were misguided. So he’s a product of the executive being misguided legally, and then the legislator will be introducing rascality to use a voice vote to confirm his appointment.
“That, we all know, a voice vote does not make any sense. It can never prove two thirds, because even in the house of Reps, we don’t even know how many people were in the room. I saw the TV pictures.
“So here is the man who came in, knows he’s on shifty ground, on shifty ground, and what has he done? You know, they say, make some appointments, and I’ll tell you who you are. He’s made some appointments, even the Rivers State Electoral Commission. He went in there, removed people, made appointments. He then also went to all the LGs, appointed, Sole administrators.
“So, a man who himself probably has had no proper mandate in a serious country with a serious legal system now decides to add insult upon injury. Instead of simply leaving local governments in the hands of the most senior, full-time staff and even reading them the riot act, to do the correct thing, he now goes to superimpose people.
“I challenge him to tell the nation through what process he chose those he appointed. Through what process did he make the appointment? Did he advertise the positions? Did he call for nominations? Did he search Rivers State for the most competent, skilled persons of high integrity?
“Like I’ve already said, we know ourselves in Rivers State, you make many appointments from the people you’ve chosen. I can tell you who you are with due respect for the people he appointed, in my personal opinion, they are riff raffs.
“So a man leaves Cross River State comes to Rivers State in an inflamed situation. I challenge him to tell the nation what process he used in making the appointments.
“Did he choose people that he knew personally when he was in the Navy? Who did he ask for nominations? When did he produce some of these riff raffs from?
“You’ve got an electoral commission, and you bring in some people that you chose through the method that you can’t explain?
“Please, I challenge him to explain how he chose those persons. So do you want us to accept the elections conducted by some of those people that he chose when we don’t even know how they are mixed?
“And I think that is disrespectful to the people of River State. He should be called to order immediately.
“There should be no mistake whatsoever that we will sit down forever and accept persons being appointed to lord over our state and our resources,” he said https://dailypost.ng/2025/04/25/rivers-you-cant-come-from-cross-river-to-impose-riff-raffs-on-us-peterside-challenges-ibas/

Did Tinubu and his allies ever allow Jonathan the political space to complete an uninterrupted eight-year tenure? To claim that Tinubu is not doing a bad job is not only misleading, but a disservice to truth. His leadership embodies incompetence on a historic scale. What we're witnessing is a regime that is considered the most wicked and regressive in our nation's history, a government marked by economic hardship, authoritarian tendencies, and a blatant disregard for the welfare of its people. The evidence is overwhelming. |
