Mr bil's view on Nigeria's issue reminds me of the course I did in oau-TPD.The course highlighted why Nigeria is still developing. It stated that there is no link btw our educational system and the industry. For ur economy to thrive you must build human capital.One thing you will noticed abt developed countries is that many of their inventions and innovations come from academics, which is part of human capital. There is a great link btw their educational system and their industries. They were able to change their economy for the better because they focused and still focusing on human capital.When u invest more on you people you are duin so to eliminate any emergency spending on the consequences of you not duin so.For example if the northern government spend much on education we will only have little worries abt insurgency or no worries at all.Our inability to fund education in north is causing us much on insurgency in the north right now.Education is a great tool to develop our country.But the major stakeholders in developing our country have turned to hustlers (entrepreneurs) to eke out livelihood. Such people ought to be in a solitary place looking for ways to invent things that will bring great change to our country. So the problem is not buhari but our mentality about development.

we shld not be wallowing in this state at all but our problem is corruption. To me a capitalist state is a state with limited resources but our resources here in Nigeria is unlimited.Imagine a country where the political elites are being paid handsomely more than USA president. The government are increasing everything increasable without increasing the salaries of her employees. So,our resources(oil and others) have the correlation in our yearly fiscal policy (either recurring or capital expenditure) .Let me ask you this question, what correlation does oil prices have with the ability to pay a single senator millions of naira every month for doing nothing?

Many Nigerians are opportunist. Many believe if there have d opportunity to be in power they have to find means to rake in our common wealth.Meaning it is there own time to make it in live.And,the system is not helping matter at all to curtail the menace of corruption among our political elites rather the system continue encouraging the act of corruption. So my broda paying tax is not d issue but our corrupt self is the zenith problem will are facing in Nigeria and Africa.African are not contempt with what they have.They want to have more houses,more cars,and they are doing this at the detriment of there fellow African.My bro,please what happened to NHIS fund(health insurance fund).The federal govt cannot give account of the found.The taxes I have been paying is being used to pay senators and honorables for duin nothing.The present minister of health indicted the NHiS boss for misappropriating the nhis fund.Your president acquitted him of all the charges leveled against the nhis boss. Nigeria is too bless to be poor.Our natural resources is enough to take care of all our needs.You only level high taxes to the citizens when you have limited resources. My bro paying tax is not the issue.

It is because the amount of money people pay in TAXES...sometimes as much as 50% of their income.

Plus...many of these countries are industrial countries...exporting a variety of industrial products.

Nigeria? Tax rate is between 0-24%, many people don't pay, hospital bills are kept very low. So, public facilities are in a mess because we cannot afford to keep up with the big countries.

Anyway...have fun abroad.

paying taxes is not the issue but selfishness and lack of empathy is our main problem in Africa.If you use all our salary as tax in dis country it will still get embezzle.Imagine a senator earning millions per month for duing nothing.Doctor and some other civil servants are earning meager income per month.African are too greedy.
