That's because they already know the citizens are fools, they are very comfortable getting pushed around. If they citizens can stop and say "no, we won't be foolish again" then you will see Nigerian will start working, but as longs as the citizens remains foolish and stupid, the country will be stagnant and only the elites will be flourishing under the blood and sweat of the same foolish citizens.

Up til now, Lagos maker government is yet to tell Nigerians what the profit of the petrol subsidy removal have been channeled to in betterment of the common man's life. Nigerians are just there fooling themselves online and offline.
