Pedagogue: This is rather lame.

It is evident that the Op does not wan2 marry her...so,why are u wasting the poor girl's time!

Many think the girl is desperate ..how is that so? The Op has probably been feeding the gal with lies 2 mak her believe the world starts and ends at her doorstep ! Since the gal is a virgin (and probably inexperienced in relationship matters) , she thinks d Op is her much awaited husband!!!

And why are ppl so quick to label d girl a confusionist ? I think , in actual fact, d gal mite have heard from God...and to earlier posters that said d Op must hear from God too? I beg to disagree also ! God does not relate anyhow with ppl...Do we know the Op's relationship with God? If the Op has not been 'hearing' from God b4 now, how can he hear from Him now?

Methinks its high time d Op stopped deceiving the gal...if u don't like her enough to marry her, kindly let her go!!! Believe me, d gal mite be your God ordained wife...but since u dnt love her enough, God in His infinite mercies can give her a replacement !
1 thing u should however not do is to marry her because you think she's your God ordained wife...ONLY MARRY ON D BASIS OF LOVE! What some people label as 'God's voice ' might be a powerful familiar spirit at work!

Cheers

omiobo: Guy,ignorance can make you lose what you will never regain in your life, and in the course of being ignorance you can cut your life short. In a situation like this, you don't need to come on nairaland because it is a polluted forum. All you need is to be prayerful and listen to your inner man,he is a great campanion and best adviser I ever know, and if possible meet a father in the Lord for a godly advice.
Hmm. This is not an easy ride

Hello peepz, your candid advice please.
I met this girl few months after my youth service, and we became acquainted shortly after. Not more than one month since we started dating and she told me something very scary. We were together in my house and the following conversation ensued.
she: I have prayed for many people and they become successful.
Me: that's great.
She: and you know what, they usually come back asking me to marry them
Me: so why didn't you marry any of them
She: I didn't like any of them. I know who I am going to marry.
Me: how is that possible
She: I know because I have "seen" him even before we met physically. He was revealed to me.
Me: and who is this man
She: you. I have known you would husband even before we got to know each other.
At this point, I had some ill feelings and scary sensation.
She continued: I am a very spiritual person, and as a matter of fact, I am doing prayers for you. Just keep attending church service and weekly programmes as well, you will see a very big change in your life. The day I catch you with any other woman, I am gone. You have been ordained to marry me.
Now, being scared was an understatement. In my heart, I shouted - holy ghost fire.
The truth is I like this girl. She is nice, God fearing and obedient, but she is not really my kind of a woman when it comes to marrying. She is timid, a little bit naïve and a virgin as well (@ 25). I have been thinking about this whole thing or bullshit rather.

RomanceRe: Can Someone Be In Love With Two Persons At The Same Time ? by boborosky(m): 10:08pm On Apr 01, 2013
Love, at least, in the society we live in, is imaginary not real. @op it is possible to love 2 persons but at different levels or rates. It is impossible to love pple equitably. Take it or leave it.

@op
1.This is the most useless thread I have seen so far.
2.This shows how much antiquated you are
3.This shows how much of a liability you are going to be to your husband

This advice goes out to all ladies who think the sole reason of getting into a relationship is to make money.

Relationships are not business firms that investors expect a profit. It is not a gold mine where you dig up gold.

For the records, it is a union of two persons who share common feelings, emotions etc., and express them the best way they can without any phony motive.

So, criminally minded ladies; go and get a life, and be less dependent. The funny truth is that you do not know how much dependency syndrome speaks low of you in the short run, and kills your esteem in the long run.

Be independent - be highly esteemed.

@op, there is no logic in this. It is just a matter of combining letters dat have high numeric counterparts. It is no where near reason and reality. E.g PROMISCUITY
16+18+15+13+9+19+3+21+9+20+25 = 168. Op, u beta stop deceiving pple.
Nairaland GeneralRe: The Most Embarrassing Thing That Ever Happened To You? by boborosky(m): 10:04pm On Feb 09, 2013
Mine goes like this. One afternoon, i was haven fun with a neighbours daughter in my room, when suddenly i heard a knock on the door. I hesitated asking who was there. D knock persisted without any response, so i left her on the bed, and in my boxers with a sweaty body i went to the door. When i opened, it was her mother staring at me as though i was guilty of murder. She asked me if her daughter was in my room and i said no, dat i had never seen her dat day, then suddenly, she looked down and saw her daughters foot wear. I was electrocuted to the bone marrows. Then she bent over and collected d foot wears and left. The funny thing was dat, my friends and other neighbours were just watching, and after few minutes, the girl came out bare footed with her hear shabby. Kai, dat day i felt like i should remain indoors for the rest of my life. I later found out who the snitch was.

RomanceRe: 10 Things About Love by boborosky(m): 10:52pm On Jan 28, 2013
Love can b defined as an unconditional feelin dat binds 2 seperate pple 2geda makin dem inseperable. If i go by d 9ja setting and d def. Above, then love does nt exist. If u luk at most relationships and marriages, u wud find out dat there is always a conditional factor dat keep d union goin, i.e money, class, beauty, belief/religion, etc. If the conditional factor is taken away, so does love. Dis contradicts d concept of love. Only God is love, dat is y Christ sacrificed his life for all, and even if it was just 1 sinner, he wud have still given his life. Pls 4get d fictional romeo and juliet, mark anthony and cleopatra etc. Love is ideal not real.

A second read of ur post got me thinking sumthin else.

What can u do 2 make a guy initiate a relationship?

Nothin other dan living ur normal life. If he wants u, he's gonna ask u out whether u act dis or dat way.

If he doesnt initiate a relationship, it means he either does nt like u or he is probably being cautious.

If u lyk him, y dnt u initiate one?
RomanceRe: What Will It Take For A Guy To Initiate A Relationship? by boborosky(m): 12:51pm On Jan 24, 2013
There is absolutely nothing wrong in a lady initiating a relationship. D problem is with life style and sociological background. In the west, a lady can freely ask a guy she likes out and d guy can oblige without havin any iota of pride, power or dominion over d lady. Everything remains balanced.
In our own society, a guy wud often treat a lady with disdain if she asks him out. He accepts, feeds on her, and off he goes. In our own society, it is expected that a man initiates a relationship, even though i do not approve of it. In any case, i wud advise u go up 2 dat man and let him knw dat u like and want him 2 b a friend. U can start 4rm there, but remember, do nt forfiet ur value just because u are tryn 2 let sumone knw u like them.

onyejiokem: While this may seem untrue I think there is an element of truth in it; reason bcoz, it's not easy to differentiate a male baby from a female one especially from afar since they do not have a visible physical characteristics except on a closer look. The photo of my younger sis when she was 2 is often regarded as a male photo becoz she looked like one. So as a speaker/owner of a baby I think it's right to simply say, ''it's my baby'' to save a curious audience the stress of having to doubt whether or not you're telling the truth of your baby's sex since to him/her the child is either a male or female. I've also heard them say on movies, ''It's my baby'' instead of he/she is... As the poster of the thread acknowledged. The only time one could say ''he/she is my baby is when the child has actually grown past ''babyhood'' then those physical x-terics becomes visible, e.g the female wears ear ring, plaits hair etc. While for the male is the opposite. I hope this will help?

FXKing2012: Point is it is possible for a woman to be "delivered of a baby" or "deliver a baby" depending on the context (or what actually happened).
with regards to child birth "delivered of a baby" is d correct statement. Check your dictionary, and i bet you wouldn't stick to your point.

You dont just throw terms around as if they are universally right.

Hope you've learned something simple.

Nairaland GeneralThe Real Force Behind Homosexualism by boborosky(op): 8:37pm On Jan 17, 2013
I had a little argument sometime ago with my 4rnds over the cause of homosexualism. Some said it was as a result of witchcraft/spiritual manipulations, while others said it was as a result of association or environment. I did a little research which revealed that homosexualism is biological. It states that, if a baby is male and while in the womb draws more than necessary genes from its mother over its father's, the baby would eventually have more xteristics of a female than male, and is more likely to be sexually attracted to males, and, vice versa. Could this be true? If not, what do you think?
LiteratureRe: Common Grammatical Errors We Make In Our Everyday English by boborosky(op): 8:03pm On Jan 17, 2013
FXKing2012: In the movie "Apocalypse", a woman delivered a baby all by herself while hiding from the invaders in the well.

We have seen cases where women delivered babies all by themselves while home alone. So it is not completely unheard of or impossible for a woman to deliver a baby all by herself.

Dude, women are stronger than they seem.
let me teach you something. In life, nothing is devoid of exception. Besides, it was only a movie. I do not mean that weird things don't happen. They really do. Answer dis question: Is 1 1=2 in all cases? At least not in marriage. Apart from the above, the expression: delivered of a baby, has been approved by the owners of the language. You just do not have any choice but to accept it that way. Simple!

Iykopee: Who told you gerund doesn't apply there? Dont mislead people here.
nAfter this explantion, I expect you to keep quite. A woman can not deliver herself of a baby. You will understand it better if you know the rigorous activities attached to delivering a baby from its mother. I do not need to explain further, just consult a good English language dictionary or an English dictionary of idioms. This might help you eradicate those bits and pieces of ignorance and babarism in you. Just an advice.
