My mind first went to the Nigerian Senate. On another note, the Nigerian govt or its foreign ministry did not say a pim over this Venezuela matter, whereas their mates are taking affirmative stances and issuing official statements here and there. Maybe, they're trying their best so that King Trump will not remember them. Cowards!!! |
The mere fact that these criminals are close to the office of the IGP is very worrisome. |
It's expected, in fact, every sane person will do the same. No be the same Labour Party where Yussuf Datti want to be their Presidential candidate. |
Righteousness2:The woman ought to have shared her story herself with medical reports or doctors affirming things. Don't just be emotionally laden. There's a reason why God gives brain or thinking skills. |
If this is how Nigerian past tyrants and pharaohs like Abacha were arrested, certain individuals who died in prison or assassinated unjustly wouldn't have happened. We all should know that the concept of sovereignty was formed and postulated by a person and it can also be demystified by another. |
Vadese1:You're the one talking out of premium ignorance. Kidnapping an incumbent country's president in his very own country in a single operation that's not up to two hours. Haba, cut me some slack! And no causality at all on the US side. Is the Venezuela military that daft Imagine, kidnapping Tinubu and his wife in a single night operation Though we're third world country, but it can't happen easily like that. |
A president kidnapping another country president; a big shame to the Venezuela's military. |
Anything to oust the self-made God of Iran (Ayatollah) from power is welcome. |
That's for people that just insist on staying in Lagos. Lagos is a actually a crazy place. I don't just know what people see in Lagos. During this festive season, I spent about 3 hours travelling from Ile Ife to Lagos/Oshodi and I spent about another 4 hours within that same Lagos before I could get home. |
saphiere:Like that Speaker of the House of Rep from Ikire or that fmr minister of petroleum with golden chains and bras. |
timibare:Nah to put my two hands inside my pocket all through. |
Throwback:warning sign or not, more responsibilities lie with the drivers in motion. A good and experience driver is not just concerned with the immediate vehicle at the front, he should have a panoramic view of about three to four vehicles ahead. Albeit, with over speeding, even if you're the best driver, you're not safe. |
Excessive speed is mostly caused by youthful exuberance. A lesson to others. |
Very Sad. It only takes miracle to get the occupants out alive due to the force of impact. |
Confirm! It beats my imagination when an officer who lives on taxpayer money commits a crime against the state, and the only punishment is dismissal. It's very ironical in the sense that an officer is being paid or incentised to prevent crime, uphold justice and human dignity but he's doing the exact opposite of what he's being paid for. It's even better to pardon a thug or a jobless lout than to just free a criminal who is disgusing as an officer and living on tax payer money. Fact is, a good number of police stations are active crime scenes and a good number of its personnels are criminals disgusing as officers. SenecaTheYonger: |
In Nigeria, you can't see it all. Everyday comes with daily surprises. |
You're the one on the wrong side of history, There was nothing like Taiwan pre and during the WW2. It was the Chinese revolution between the people and the absolute/tyrant government of Mao Tse Tung that led to Taiwan. It was a case of a compulsory exile. That's why till today, the UNO and even the US don't recognize Taiwan as a state. franchasng: |
Ofodirinwa:i didn't mention $70 for round trip, I said most round trips are around $200 which isn't even up to the $400 mentioned by Mr. Allen. |
The man can lie for Africa. An hour trip is usually between $70 to $150 depending on traffic and airline. Even a round trip ticket(1 hour times 2) is not up to $400, it's around $200 which gives more value. |
Despite the obvious and exposed fake miracle, people still attend his church. The mindset or psyche of some so called Christians needs to be studied. |
Pastor, Doctor Chris Okafor don buy market. |
One can say 'We'll talk later'. |
Interesting article! The decision of the community leaders and the Wammako's government to hire unvetted mercenaries that they hardly know from Mali is very uncanny. All these indicate leadership failure. |
Those allegations are very serious and it's a known fact (not an allegation) that the Pastor engaged in an arrangee miracle- healing of a seemingly deformed arm so anyone associating with such an unscrupulous and nefarious pastor might just be under spell or just plainly stupid. For the new wife and close aides of the pastor, it's usually because of some financial gain or they're simply birds of a feather. If this Okafor's saga does not open the eyes of the sheeple, I wonder what will? |
It's a very long journey ooo. It's not an easy road... |
TrafalgarLaw:What data/evidence is needed again? There's a video evidence of when he made mockery of Sinach's song and there are circumstantial evidences on Pastor Chris divorce saga. |
kunle4toyeyaho:The gains of this autonomy can only be achieved if there are mechanisms that ensure transparency and accountability. |
Thanks. The article highlights Nigeria's retrogression, specifically regarding the marginalization of local government functions. Governance is primarily about the people and the people are best reached and targeted at the grassroots level. I remember when I was still in elementary school in the early 2000s, the Oshodi-Isolo local government made policies/laws for the benefits and betterment of the society. For example, they banned "soak away toilets" and every house in the community had to adjust to the new law. In contrast to that, this is 2025 (over two decades). Here in Ile Ife, many houses are still using soak away toilets, people burning refusing refuses on roads, inside gutters and even on road junctions and people throwing refuses inside any available large gutter. There are governors that sack elected local government chairmen and I think that's really against common sense... |
Alaigbo:Nah bad mouth go kill you las las... If you don't change from your insolent attitude. |
If ICPC do its work with due attention and diligence, it will discovers that virtually all governmental agencies, ministries, departments and parastatals ought to be flagged for high corruption. |
FarahAideed:The electricity situation has been getting worse lately. In my area, no light during day time, just only in the middle of the night. If you're not disciplined enough to wake up and charge phone, power bank, run the fridge and pump water... You are on your own by the time day breaks. My only regret is not having a portable power station yet that can be charged during the few hours of light so it can be used for basic appliances that matter most and during the time that matters most. |
Love800:it's like a coated plywoods and they're closely individually fitted together. The popular ones are the traditional wooden slate, PVC and the modern pop. |
