they are not the only people that cursed Rochas, all the contractors that he deceived by asking them to use their money to start road construction with promise to mobilise them later which he did not fufill has laid a more potent curse on him. we have always known Rochas as a 419, I wonder why APC are seeing a role model in him. he cares only for his family and no one else, look at all his aides its only those that agreed to marry his daughters that look well feed the others are just hungry looking touts. he did not conduct local government elections through out his regime but ate all the allocations alone. you cant buy anything for the government lodge without his daughter's approval. its so so irritating.

President Jonathan this morning paid a visit to Our Lady Queen of Nigeria catholic church Abuja. He was present at the mass, marking the opening ceremony of the first plenary of the Catholic Bishops. The event had in attendance all Catholic Bishops in Nigeria.

The president in his address reaffirmed elections will take place as scheduled. President of Catholic Bishop conference of Nigeria, Bishop Ignatius Kaigama, used the opportunity to draw his attention to the plight of Nigerians displaced by the activities of Boko Haram. More photos after the cut...

Hell was let loose in Owerri the Imo State capital yesterday as widows on peaceful solidarity protest against the Governor"s incessant attacks on the Minister of State for Education, Prof. (Mrs.) Viola Onwuliri over her recent revelation of federal govt projects in Imo State.

In the process the hapless widows under the auspices of Imo Widows Association, Jesus Triumphant Widows Association and Amuzi Women Association had a clash with some hoodlums allegedly hired by the state Governor Rochas Okorocha.

The women numbering over 2000 arrived the Okigwe Roundabout, opposite the Government House, Owerri as early as 8am singing solidarity songs in support of President Goodluck Jonathan and Prof. Onwuliri, with the following lyrics “leave our benefactor alone, she is not responsible for the death of her husband, Jonathan should continue, Onwuliri is our pride and princess, we stand by Onwuliri".

However, unknown to the women, hired thugs were laying ambush with the intention of unleashing mayhem on the harmless widows. It was alleged that soon after the widows had assembled at the designated venue the hoodlums began to unleash their dastardly act on the protesting women leaving five of them lying critical ill at the Federal Medical Centre Owerri, FMC and the NTA cameraman beaten to stupor, his camera was taken by the commissioner for information, Chidi Ibe.The women alleged that the thugs carted away their bags.

The act which was allegedly coordinated by the Commissioner of Information, Chief Chidi Ibeh and Commissioner for Youths and Sports, Mr. Kenneth Emelu, and the Chairman of State Universal Basic Education, SUBEB Mrs. Getrude Oduka, left many women also sustaining various degrees of injuries.

One of the wounded women, Mrs. Margret Kwusi from Oguta Local Government Area, narrated her ordeal in the hands of the hoodlums. “As we were praying at the venue for peace to continue to reign in the state and the nation generally, the hoodlums descended on us flogging us mercilessly with canes which resulted in bodily injuries among many of our members.”

Speaking, the leader of the group, Mrs. Josephine Ibewike, stated that they on peaceful procession in protest of the unfounded accusation leveled against their benefactor which they found to be very repulsive and decide to let the public know the truth in this respect.

“We embarked on the peaceful protest to inform the State Government that Prof. Viola is a good woman that cannot harm a fly talk less of killing the husband, she has been assisting us through the instrumentality of her office,”

“I am a widow for 15 years and I know how painful it is to live without the bread winner. Accusing a woman who the world knows died in plane crash of killing the husband is absurd.”
According to her, philanthropists all over the world practice same with human face and detest a situation where a situation where people tell lies in the name of philanthropy.

You got it all wrong.. the figure i quoted wasn't reserve.. it was total debt at the end of Shagari Administration which you claimed that Buhari cleared with few days. Nothing in my write up made mention of reserve so I don't know where you go it from. I repeat, read properly, nobody ever made mention of reserve.

The two key question for you are

1. Did Buhari, as you said, cleared Nigeria debt within few day of coming to power? do you you still stand by that after reading the link to the debt management office?

2. Do you still stand by your "fact" that Buhari initiated the construction of Warri and Kaduna refineries after reading the extract fron NNPC website?

You are an intelligent guy and I expect a good reference from you

(Regarding no 3 and 4, I only highlighted them to show that Buhari wasn't the Messiah who saved the economy from total collapse.. other than that, I had no further argument)
