Proudly a graduate of English Language. I think the course is underrated. Like the OP rightly said, the transferrable skills are numerous. On a personal note, I have taught in schools, worked as a content developer for a blog, interpreted (albeit for free). Mine was simple, windows has a folder called contact, I just hid my "contacts" inside it.
