duuduu: I HAVE SENT THE JD TO UR MAIL BOX, I CLAIMED 8YRS WORKING EXPERIENCE BUT IT WAS CUT DOWN TO 4YRS COS THE JOB TITLE COMPUTER NETWORKS AND SYSTEMS ENGINEER IS NOT CLOSELY RELATED TO THE COURSE I STUDIED ELECTRICAL ELECTRONIC ENGINEERING, SO IT MEANS I AM GETTING 5 POINTS FOR MY EXPERIENCE AND 15POINTS FOR MY QUALIFICATION. IF YOU CHECK ACS SKILL ASSESSMENT GUIDELINES FOR APPLICANTS YOU WILL UNDERSTAND BETTER This is how my Elect/Elect Engr was assessed. The quote from my ACS assessment result below "Your Bachelor of Technology from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology completed September 2005 has been assessed as comparable to an AQF Bachelor Degree with a major in computing." |

bellong: Why not check States like Kwara or Osun where demands are not as high as in Lagos? I just spoke with NIS officer at Osogbo office now and he said there is no booklet for now. The few one available goes to the highest bidder. The money allowed is 10,000 Australia Dollar or it equivalent in other currency. |

dunsinogundele: Dear Bellong and other Gurus, please I need clarification on the following questions;
1. I secured my flight to Aussie for mid April with IOM and they booked emirate for me and my family. Do we need to contact Emirate so we would be guaranteed sitting together on the flight?
2. Is it possible to renew my passport before expiration?, I am traveling next month and pasport would expire in May.
3. What amount of cash are we allowed to travel with, considering we are a family of 4?
Thanks. Let me answer your question tp the best of my knowledge. 1. You don't need to contact them for that, most airline opens their online check-in 24hrs to departure. Go to their site and do an online check-in. You will be able to select where you want to sit in the sitting arrangement section. 2. You can renew your passport when it is 6 month to expiration legally. Kindly do that before your departure. 3. Australia allows you to travel with 10,000AUD or its equivalent for someone 18yrs and above. If the entire family have more than 10k, divide it among yourself because the money should not be carried by one person for all. The rule is 10k per head. Please, how much did IOM get the flight for you and their any infant or 2 adults and 2 children. |

Happy Sunday to all. This week will be glorious for us all. ITA will flow for many, all delayed grant will surface and positive assessment for those waiting.
Thanks for all love and prayers for me and family.
I pray for more speedy grant. Shorter than my own 10 days grant.
@Bellong Your humble and selfless spirit is one of a kind. The Lord will reward your labour of love.
I need help with a sample of Australian CV format. How does one state Nigeria qualification on the CV. Also need help with Melbourne suburbs where one can get 2 bedroom accommodation that is not too expensive btw 300-350AUD but with easy access to CBD and good for family. |

orjiobi007: Good day all,
i am extremely happy to be part of the forum, please i will be needing the kind assistance of this forum.
i have a degree in international relations from the university of Benin and also over 4 years experience as a systems analyst, can i go ahead and send in my documents for assessment by ACS (the assessing body for my nominated skill) and hope for a positive outcome? someone told me since my degree falls outside my area of work experience, i might not have a successful one. how true is this please?
i have certifications in CISCO (CCNA), ORACLE (OCP) and ITIL
thanks for your kind assistance It's not likely that you will get positive assessment due to the following reasons; 1. Your degree is not computer related and definitely will be turn down. 2. Your certifications will not fly with ACS, not acceptable 3. Your experience of 4 years might not count because ACS most time will deduct 2 - 4 years before your experience begins to count. |
