I'm roughly 2-3 months away from rounding off my NYSC programme and I just got a job with a telecomm firm and they resolved to paying 60k per month (after tax). Now I'm at a crossroad because I was aiming for something higher than this. This really has nothing to do with pride as some people might assume, just that I'm somewhat disturbed that the sum is not 'okay' enough, considering the harsh realities confronting the economy presently. I'm expected to start soon and I'm so confused, whether to accept or reject the offer.

Please accept the offer with kind gesture but you wouldn't limit yourself there. Accepting the offer gives you edge among other fresh graduate applicants as you already have working experience.

Pardon me, I'm not exactly sure what you mean by virgin passport.
However I have had a UK visa before which expired so I just renewed, though still needed an invitation letter. the estonian embassy in London does not give any invitation letter or email for reference. you book an appointment by phone conversation and thats it.

Since you have cousins in the UK, you can request an invitation letter from them as well as specify your intention of going to the estonian embassy in London in the visa application.

I think you should apply in person at their office, you might be giving a consideration since it's your field. There's nothing impossible since we've not been called for training.

Yes you can put in for another degree. I'm also going for my 2nd degree. You are expected to submit all your documents on/before the stated date (Aug). If your result is ready before they close admission, I guess you may still apply, don't have much idea though.

I think this should help. I applied for masters in environmental protection at Euroacademy. mu docs got to the school 12th may. I didn't hear from them and had to send a mail. this was the response I got. I think those of us still waiting for the admission list have to chill till next year.

The caption is for euroakaademia. I don't think you can go thru shengen countries as an undergraduate student but for for others all the best.

That's what their government pays undergraduate and MSc students while phd students r paid 440euro.

If you ve your trp, tfare is free for you. I read some info from sch site while others r gotten from source there

You can't spend 400euro on monthly expenses except if you are too extravagant, paying sch fee or if you want to go n do big boy in another man's land. Remember their govt will still give u stipend of 220 euro. Free tfare n if you happen to get a job in a food servicing coy, you will be given free meal as well.

No job is easy oo, but is it not better than earning 40k as monthly salary here with expenses of lik 30k monthly?

yes that's the caption. If ENIC/Naric didn't send your report on or before 20th June ,it means you will enter by nxt semester.

Since may 22nd that I got their letter that they received my doc, they sent it for evaluation on the 15th of June, It's good for me as I'll be given more time to source for money.

For those that are waiting for evaluation results from euroakaademia, relax oo na same cab we go enter. Success wishes to those with successful outcome.

I was in Dubai late last yr on a 5 day business trip (November 21st to 26th). I must confess..it was a real eye opener for me. Now i know we got a big problem in this country cuzz almost everything works over there. It a haven / pasttime paradise for businessmen.

My Dad was setting up a telecomms business and i was given the contract to furnish him with phones and accessories. I spent almost 190,000N for the trip (visa, ticket, hotel accomodation and got myself lovely gearz). I got phones worth over 8M (shipped down via emirates air cargo) and still had lil sum'n sum'n left. I would say the entire trip was hassle free from the ports. Everything was ridiculosly cheap. Traders got to see Dubai.

I got goods there very cheap. Dubai is a free trade zone... (taxes almost non existent). Virtually ever company in the world worth its salt has an office in Dubai. Plus the city has the worlds only 7 star hotel - Burj Al Arab hotel.

I also met a Nigerian my age (24) who really lives big there. he works in an IT firm specializing in cold fusion technology and he earns..wait for this.US$9000 monthly.

I think its a land of opportunities. Ever been to Dubai? What were your experiences.


NB: Dubai is in the United Arab Emirates.

It's interview not recruitment. They interviewed 30 area managers today. They were told they will get back to successful candidate.

The short delay was bcoz he was asked to take his waec result to federal ministry of education n foreign affairs for authentication in Abuja.

they have selected those they needed for the job. they considered people that did theirs last month mostly (presentation people). also considered those that are well connected amongst those that did theirs this month. all the best

Abi, I think it's high time we look for alternative route I've checked Egypt visa requirements and I think it's simple. Anyone going thru this route should pls update us

I just want to read and ignore but for the benefit of others - Sometimes we just worry ourselves unnecessarily. We have said it times without number that SA does not have an Embassy but a Hon consulate. Only Embassies in Egypt, India, Georgia, Turkey (For Nigerians i would say) and others can issue Visas/TRP. Now Georgia and Egypt are not being talked about by many. India is beginning to act like they actually matter.

I agree - God first but at the same time, heaven help those who help themselves.

The last stage wasn't really stressful. Just know what your expected to do as regarding the position you applied for. Who you report to n those you want to supervise.

Your ward, street names around your community and above all your skills. The rest is history. Pls know d elements of waste mgt, very important.

I saw pple from ibeju Lekki, Ikorodu, Epe, Eredo. Those are the pple I had a chat with, I don't know if other lgas were invited for that yesterday but I want to believe it will be done in batches.

As per d pay, hrd it's something reasonable and d job is kinda govt job. Let's be hopeful.
