Tembebe: I thought it's a free accommodation for the students. Where did you get your info from. I didn't read it in the write up. If you go back and read the article again, you will see it there. Not more than 2 students can share a room. Meaning if 1 student can afford to pay the 300k, go ahead. 2 students can also pay the 300k per room meaning each will pay 150k each. This is a good business.. |

seborrhic: Not just borehole. You pay for foundation, If u reach lintel and delay due to money constraints, you pay for "continuation" anytime you want to restart after lintel,to roofing. Roofing Plastering Soakaway you pay. The window guy asks you to settle the omo onile or he adds their tax to your bill, ditto the ceiling guy and tiler. Fencing you pay. Then borehole. Of course any building material of yours that gets transported by a truck or tipper, you settle along the routes. It's crazy Yes o.. the person I quoted listed some of the items you listed too.. it crazy my brother. |

yommytino: Issue of Omo Onile in Lagos has extended to almost all south west states. If you want to commence construction they will collect foundation fee, if you want to roof building another tax, plastering tax, flooring tax, septic tank charge, cement work fee, plumbing fee, Aluminum windows etc. Ikorodu is even worst. Osun state is catching up gradually. Same explerience at Adamo, ikorodu. We had to pay for borehole too |

hiroz: don't be myopic. all banks in Nigeria are now facing mass retail loan seriously. its a big source of revenue. the loan is quite flexible. at 1.75% monthly that is 21% per annum.. so if you take the loan and repay everything in one month you'll only pay interest for the one month you had the loan running. you can get up to 5 million and if you repay in 3months you'll only pay interest for the 3 months and not the total 21% per annum..
and the wonderful thing is that the loan is on reducing balance basis so as you repay monthly the interest you pay for the next month keeps reducing..
and those shouting innoson innoson se the ''judgement'' was given months ago what's he waiting for to take over the gtbank branches as you were celebrating then..keep believing lies. Leo1234, I hope this post answers your questions. |
Politics › Re: Border Closure: ECOWAS Countries Reject Nigerian Goods by bolseas(f): 6:16am On Nov 14, 2019 |
Jones4190: *Benin Republic has a population of 12 million people. But it is the worlds 5th importer of rice. In 2018, it imported rice worth US$996m.*
*Benin is also world's largest importer of _used_ _cars_ and __second_ - _hand_ _clothing_ . All with a population of 12m people.* *DO YOU WONDER HOW?.........* *Don't!*
*98.2% of these imports into Benin are only on transit; their final destination is _NIGERIA_ !* *Nigeria is world's largest consumer of used cars and second hand clothing, and is also Africa's largest consumer of Asian grown rice.*
*The problem here is that all these imported goods attract appropriate import duty and trade tax, which are paid to the Beninoise Government while the goods are thence SMUGGLED into Nigeria WITHOUT ANY PAYMENT to the Nigerian Government and, thereby, adding zero value to the Nigerian economy!* *Sadly, THIS IS ALL DONE BY NIGERIANS!*
*Granted, ECOWAS/CEDEAO charter allows for free trade between member states, but _on_ _goods_ _produced_ _in_ _member_ _countries_ , and NOT on imports from other economic blocs.*
*Where foreign goods are transiting through a member country, and ending up in another member country, the ECOWAS charter stipulates that the country of transit MAY collect a token trade tax, and its Customs officials should then escort the goods to the border of the importing country and hand it over to the Customs officials of the importing country!* *But what we see in the case of Benin Republic is that it collects _CUSTOMS_ _DUTY_ plus _TRADE_ _TAX_ , and then allows the goods to pass through its hinterland for onward smuggle into Nigeria!*
*This is a clear violation of ECOWAS statutes and no nation can condone such costly infraction.*
*Nigeria has tolerated this nonsense from Benin for far too long and it is time to stop the malpractice if we want Nigeria's economy to grow.* *(Therefore, whoever cries foul because we have closed our borders to smugglers while we're putting our act together, IS AN ENEMY OF NIGERIA!)*
*Nigeria makes up about 74% of ECOWAS population and about 71% of its economy. It is ECOWAS that needs Nigeria and not the other way round!*
ANY RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN MEMBER COUNTRIES MUST BE BASED ON EXTANT REGULATIONS! Please borrow me your post |

Prestonn: 1.Unsalted roasted groundnut or peanuts
2.sugar
Directions
1.Spread roasted peanuts on a chopping board and crush them with a rolling pin. You can also use mortar.
2.Put sugar into pot or sauce pan adding some water (optional) and cook
3.Leave the sugar to dissolve or melt, on a low heat. At this point, the sugar syrup should be clear in colour.
4.Add crushed peanuts to the sugar syrup
5.Stir vigorously for 2-3 minutes on low heat
6.Spread the crushed peanut syrup mix on a chopping board and use rolling pin to flatten it
7.Quickly cut several deep lines into the flat groundnut cake before it harden
8.The groundnut cake is then broken off in pieces along the cut lines for storage
NOTE: Groundnut cake hardens quickly as soon as it is taken out of the pot |

mimini: Good day house. Please this is so important. What causes this rising dampness on walls. I have noticed it in many houses in Abuja. What can be done to rectify this problem. it flakes off the cement from the wall. Gives dark patches and swellings on screeded walls. I cannot even use wall papers cause it will soak the paper. I paint the wall after every raining season. Mind you, the house I am living in now is a new house and german floor waterproof nylon was used to cover the whole floor before concrete was poured. Water proof cement was also used to screed the wall.
Please any solution because it is really embarrassing. Thank you. I am interested in the response. |

In one of your posts, you said he helps with house chores and he takes care of his children.
If you decide to take total control of your finances, worst case scenario, he will stop helping with house chores and taking care of HIS children.
If you can't do the chores alone, get someone to do them and you pay such person. As for taking care of children, you will sort it out. |

Healthyway15: Hello... As I was checking the thread, I noticed that you prepared your moin-moin in nylon. Concerning your health, it's very hazardous. Nylon is made up of many chemicals, one of them being Dioxins. The moin-moin gets some of the dioxins from the nylon when it gets heated while on fire.
So when the moin-moin is eaten, the dioxins interfere with many organs in the body, thereby causing cancer. That is why it is most advisable to use leaves as being used in the olden days. Pls stop using nylon to prepare your moin-moin! You can google it to learn more about it. Thanks. I am aware. I appreciate your concerns. |

ayandee: i visited the Takwa bay beach in 1992 during àn excursion trip. I was in J.ss1 then. We boarded a ship (Yes it was a ship). We went through Snake Island, Ogogoro village. There was a tour guide on the ship doing the narration. The beach was pristine. We had so much fun that i came down with a fever and couldnt go to school for the next 2 or 3days. It was organised by the social studies teacher. Each student paid N100. It was well-planned. Teachers were really committed then. I went in 1992 too, though I was still in primary school. We went on a ship named Eko Tourist. I remember Shina Peters music was blasting from the speakers. #ijo Shina.. Ere Shina.. Emi lejo, iwo lejo, Shina o.. Ye Ye Ye.. Olomoge onjo ojo shina. Tarara rara gege.. Lol.. It was interesting though.. Scary too.. |

iRepNaija1: Most of you missed the point of these people's comments. They're questioning why all his reasons for why he's marrying this woman center around how much she's done for him, not about what he's done for her or how much he loves her. Let's be honest: a man who believes he's got a good woman, who is, most of the time financially stable, will go above and beyond to spoil her and make her feel loved and treasured. Even if he doesn't have money, he still puts in the effort to make her feel loved and treasured. That message was not conveyed in his post at all. He just sounds like a taker and her a giver. I don't care who you are: being assigned one role gets tiring and people grow resentful. Thank you jaare.. |
