I convinced someone on a tight budget to get the A7 Pro 4+128gb and she ordered from Jumia. One week after receiving it the speaker suddenly stopped working. Could it be a factory defect?

I'm experiencing the same problem. It's better she return it and request for another before BP runs out.

But what colour is it?

Have you tried tapping? If tapping works, it sound like a loose connection.......

Possibly a bug......... Head over to Umidigi community and see if similar sound errors are happening......

If it can be replicated, Umidigi is inclined to providing a patch...........

I suspect a loose connection. I run the latest update. How can I open the phone without damaging the back glass?

Yes. This is the second time it is happening. The first time was a few days after I got the phone, I was about returning it to jumia pick up station and decided to get it fully charged, And all of a sudden it started working.
Today while charging, there was power outage and the speaker went silent again.

Hold Ur power button for about 20secs till Ur phone restarts, if it still doesn't work, u might need to change your speaker..

My charger looks different from what I've seen so far. But it charges my phone real fast. My phone is umidigi a7 pro black 64gb variant.

Sometimes, overcharging phones do cause issues like this. I've experienced this twice with tecno Droid pad. It was on the second time the technician told me that it was as a result of overcharging. All he did was disconnect the battery from the panel and connected it back and everything was back to normal.
