The problem is Amorim. It's the same Maino that was bossing games against City, Liverpool and with England at the Euros. I was about to make this point about Cunha. I am all for cultural reset but how then do you go out and buy one the most problematic and lazy player in the league who has fallen out with nearly 4 different Managers. I still don't understand the Cunha signing especially for a position we were well stacked in. We could have used that funds for other relevant positions. Mbuemo, Bruno and Sesko would have been good enough.

I hate it when people just show data without giving context or understanding the role a player is playing or the style of play of the team in question. For example “Baleba progressive passes is low so that means he not good enough”. Fernandes won't be in midfield. It will be Ugarte doing the dirty work. It all depends on Amorim and the tactics he wants to apply. If he cares about dominating then going for a profile like Stiller, Casado, Rovella etc is no brainier.

We could realistically get 2 good midfielders that are better than Baleba for less than £60M. Our scouts should be doing better.

They are so many better options than those two. Baleba for example is not a passer or a controlling midfielder. He's another Ugarte type of midfielder(ball winner). His progressive passes and carries are average . We should be looking at deep lying playmaker in the mould of casado, Stiller etc

I still feel its better than this Sesko deal sha - we are literally paying more for Sesko compared to what Reputable Goalscorers like Osihmen and Gyokores cost.

There's nothing wrong with the Sesko deal to me. It's a better deal than Cunha for £65million and the potential £90million for someone like Baleba. Osimhen and Gyokeres are both 27 which impacted their fees and even at that they went for €70m plus each. Osihmen is not a reputable goalscorer as well.

Why is this club hellbent on wasting funds. They are better options than Baleba you can get for half of the price. You have casado available for £30 to 50M, Hugo Larsson from Frankfurt,Stiller, Rovella etc. You could get two good midfielders for that outrageous price.
