ChristineC: Garnacho "rejecting" Bayern as reported, proves my judgement of his character wrong. he knows it will be a no nonsense environment where he will be forced to shape up or ship out. he is more interested in enjoyment than football. Chelsea are only interested in what they can gain from flipping him after a year or two anyways. he will be just another boy that throws his career away for good life.
Man United permitted a lot of indiscipline over the years. This is short sighted. They are so many valued reasons why he would prefer Chelsea. *He has already agreed personal terms with Chelsea and given his words. Xavi Simmons rejected the same Bayern to wait for Chelsea. * He wants to continue in England a league he's already familiar and settled in with his family rather than going to a foreign country were he doesn't understand their language. *He trusts himself to force his way into Chelsea first eleven as his only competition is Gittens tho truthfully is mediocre while at Bayern it would be Dias and Musiala when he's fit. *How can Chelsea gain anything from flipping him if he isn't performing? The notion that Bayern are more no nonsense than Chelsea is also ridiculous and backed by nothing. |

iamoyindamola: He's looking for clubs that will satisfy his cravings The ball is all in his court. He will be a free agent next summer with a nice signing on bonus and same fat wages. Why should he take a paycut now and lose. Everyone would do the same. United will have to compromise, either loan him and cover part of his wages or reduce the transfer fee so the buying club adds to his wages. |

AirBere: He's been one of your best player and leading the press well. If you take him off early for Sesko, Arsenal will score again. I was just about to say this. The reason we have been dominant is the numerical advantage in midfield with Mount playing a key role. Take him off and our levels would drop. |

spillo1: Only Caicedo won more possession than Bruno last season. Most of you don't actually know what you saying most times. Maino was controling games for England at the euros just last year before his injuries. The problem is Amorim. It's the same Maino that was bossing games against City, Liverpool and with England at the Euros. The real issue is that Amorim doesn’t seem to know how to use him properly, and the same can be said for several players in the squad. It’s less about the players lacking attributes and more about a manager failing to maximise what he has. The £100million Baleba he wanted has nothing on Maino in terms of abilities. |

raumdeuter: There is a difference between the life of a youth/student and immediately after as an adult/graduate which many people are not prepared for
When we were getting our NYSC call up letter one of the staff told us that this is a new world out there, Your privilege as a student ends at the school gate and you would be treated as a regular adult.
Gone are the days you will go somewhere and because you didn't get served the way you want, you go ahead and start mini alutas, the real world doesn't give you that benefit and you will be handled anyhow.
Your meal ticket (certificate) which you and your family worked for, is one mis step from turning sour. Every action in life has consequences
In our NYSC days, the LG chairman insisted on the CLO must be a Hausa speaker. cos he cant be stressing himself to speak English. Some of my colleagues insisted the LG chairman cannot dictate to them and refused
I just asked them what is more important to you, Leaving this place in the next 6 months or proving rights to a LG chairman in the middle of nowhere. There was an an Ibo lady corper who lived in the North and could speak Hausa who was interested, We gave the post to her and she was able to handle the LG folks till we left To say the least this mentality is shameful. |

nitrogen: If Amorim cannot manage a 21 year old, how is he going to manage matured and stubborn football players. Don’t forget that Cunha can be incorrigible as well. How is he going to deal with hi ? Unless he wants to practice favouritism. I was about to make this point about Cunha. I am all for cultural reset but how then do you go out and buy one the most problematic and lazy player in the league who has fallen out with nearly 4 different Managers. I still don't understand the Cunha signing especially for a position we were well stacked in. We could have used that funds for other relevant positions. Mbuemo, Bruno and Sesko would have been good enough. |

Panther7: I hate it when people just show data without giving context or understanding the role a player is playing or the style of play of the team in question. For example “Baleba progressive passes is low so that means he not good enough”. Baleba's job for Brighton isn't actually to progress the ball forward; quite often, it's to be the person receiving the ball in advanced positions. That doesn’t mean Baleba can’t progress the ball, what he does or what he is being ask to do is different.
Understanding what a player does in relation to stats, gives proper context to the data. Data is only useful when it is turned into information. This is a funny post. I don't think you actually understand what you just said. It's like saying Ugarte would be able to replicate Vitinha/Pedri role role in this team when given that responsibility despite not having the skill set. It's very obvious Baleba doesn't have the skill set like all data as shown to be a progressive passer. What exactly are you arguing about. |

Gucciboy: Barcelona is demanding £26m for Marc Casado while Stiller is €40m(£33m).
Good players all around We could realistically get 2 good midfielders that are better than Baleba for less than £60M. Our scouts should be doing better. |

patrickmuf: If Hojlund stays, Obi has to go out on loan or be the third-choice striker and play the Carabao Cup...He should also get games with the U-21 side.
Back to Baleba, I think he will be a good buy for £60m, but Brighton are very tough to deal with, so I won't be surprised if he is slightly overpriced...What I don't understand is why some of you are trying to downplay his talents, he is an excellent ball career and his passing from deep is impressive , so I don't get the comparison with Ugarte...If your argument is AFCON, then you have a case but not for those who are trying to downplay his talents. Having said that, Casado is not a bad option too, but I have my reservations about young Spanish players; there's always that possibility that they'll get homesick and, in a few years, will start angling for a move back to La Liga, especially if the big boys come calling.
I hope we sign a DM and a CM...Casemiro should go to Saudi abeg! Even when all stats says the opposite. Watching highlights will you give the wrong impressions of players. |

engrelvis: Hujmland( sporting) n Balena Who will u prefer we sign? Baleba is premier league proven but Hujmland has worked with Amorim b4 so can easily integrate him. They are so many better options than those two. Baleba for example is not a passer or a controlling midfielder. He's another Ugarte type of midfielder(ball winner). His progressive passes and carries are average . We should be looking at deep lying playmaker in the mould of casado, Stiller etc

Jamiuokolaa: Rich PL clubs are on a mission to Fund Brighton's existence...
After they sold Caicedo for 100m, they paid 30m for Baleba as his replacement. Now they are looking to sell him for Megabucks after 2 seasons.
If Man utd never pay that mugu money, our body no fit calm down. It's in our DNA
I still feel its better than this Sesko deal sha - we are literally paying more for Sesko compared to what Reputable Goalscorers like Osihmen and Gyokores cost. There's nothing wrong with the Sesko deal to me. It's a better deal than Cunha for £65million and the potential £90million for someone like Baleba. Osimhen and Gyokeres are both 27 which impacted their fees and even at that they went for €70m plus each. Osihmen is not a reputable goalscorer as well. |

Why is this club hellbent on wasting funds. They are better options than Baleba you can get for half of the price. You have casado available for £30 to 50M, Hugo Larsson from Frankfurt,Stiller, Rovella etc. You could get two good midfielders for that outrageous price. |

So, if I wake tomorrow and decide to start typing in proper English instead of pidgin and code mixing ( most especially substituting "U" and "UR" for "YOU" and "YOUR" respectively); people will assume it is ChatGPT assisted and me typing it? 🤷♂️
I used to think it is common knowledge that most people prefer to type in less formal way online simply because they feel comfortable doing so, not necessarily because they can't. Even if you decide to wake up tomorrow and decide to start typing in proper English, that wont give you perfect punctuation and diction or make you start using the em sign —. That's the number 1 giveaway. There's no shame in admitting to using ChatGPT to reconstruct your own words. I was making an observation not criticizing. |
