slydog: And you think they review dates on two CVs for over hundred of us within few days? The major issues are date of birth and class of degrees, nysc & degrees certificate can sort that out for them. I'll suggest we leave all these conjectures and focus on the next step which is getting invitation for interview and pray to get the APL. Okay! thanks for the info. With regards to the aforementioned documents, I do not have any problem with them. Like you said, I will just pray that I get contacted for the interview stage. Regards. |

TplenT: Yep.However, for GT,I can see that the minimum is BSC 2:1 OR HND upper credit with a good masters.I think Overall, they're trying to avoid HND's who don't have a masters.
2.Please,do you have an idea of what SS4 grade takes? I've tried finding out through DPR and NNPC without any luck.
Thanks. From one of my friend whose sister is currently working there, I heard that her monthly salary and yearly upfront were 600k and N8m respectively. That was in 2017 and her point of entry grade was not specified to me then. Again, I saw the DPR appointment letter that someone uploaded on the DPR thread in July 2018. It was for the post of statistician grade level SS6 and the annual salary was N1.8m without upfront and allowances. Though someone said the yearly upfront for DPR SS6 is between N5m-N6m. However, I will try to find out the point of entry grade for my friend's sister. Hope this helps. NB. To confirm the DPR entry level (SS6) pay: goto DPR 2016 recruitment nairaland thread, check the pages between July 8-12, 2018 for the uploaded letter. |

shalom4eva: I don't know the fuse about this HND, BSc stuffs you guys are arguing about, it's really getting annoying. Ok, let me explain from the advert as per the EH part. it reads "a MINIMUM of SECOND CLASS or HND LOWER CREDIT WITH A GOOD MASTER'S DEGREE". This is the minimum requirement for EH, meaning if you have First class, Second Class Upper, Distinction, and Upper Credits with the minimum years of experience you are qualified. Now, as for the 2.2 and Lower credit, the interpretation would be at the discretion of the organization as it can mean (1) Minimum qualification is 2.2 or if you have HND lower credits you would need a good masters degree (2) Minimum qualification is 2.2 or HND lower credit but any of both should have a good masters degree.
Please let's read to understand and not to be biased cos it favors us or not. Thanks a lot. |

TplenT: But I still think based on the attached, the criteria for EH is minimum of BSC 2:2 or HND upper with a good masters.I think they don't want to take HND's without having a masters. It is very clear to me now. From the post you uploaded, the minimum requirement for people with university degree is 2.2, while those with HND Lower credit must have a good masters degree. Hence, those with First class, 2.1, 2.2, HND distinction and upper are very much qualified and good to go. |

EmekaNwokeEnugu: . My anger now is why did they invite HND upper credit and degree 2.2, to write aptitude test. They should have screened them out ab initio.
Why disqualify them at die minutes. Calm down, please. Let us just hope for the best after all. It's just that, it is painful to see that those who had very soft landing in their days are the ones making things difficult for others now. Most of them entered with 2.2 and without Masters. Some even did their masters like seven years after employment. I am just tired of Nigeria as a country. |

EmekaNwokeEnugu: . Please, expanciate on this. What do you mean by it was stated on the advert? Do you know if they take HND upper credit without masters for E. H?
I hold HND upper credit and degree 2.2. No Master's degree.
Please, people that are very good in English should interpret the academic requirements for EH.
Nagode. It was stated in the advert that those with 2.2 should have a good masters degree. However, I am not the one to determine who qualifies or not because it is only God that has the final say in things like this. |

SS6 = Graduate Trainee, SS5 = 3yrs cognate experience, SS4 = 6yrs cognate experience, SS3 = 9yrs cognate experience, SS2 = 12yrs cognate experience, SS1 = 15yrs cognate experience, AD (Assistant Director) = 18yrs cognate experience, DD (Deputy Director) = 23yrs cognate experience, Director = 26yrs cognate experience and above. The email was sent to over 90% of persons who scored 75% and above and few below that.. So if you didn't get the email please move on.. How did you manage to arrive at that conclusion? Are you the member of the recruiting team responsible for compiling data and sending out mails/sms to successful candidates? That is the only thing that will make you to speak with such confidence. I make bold to tell you that you do not have any idea about the cut of mark or criteria used by NCDMB to select the successful candidates. Be guided. |

chardyni: No one, below 60, has gotten email. There's no need to generalize when you obviously don't have the contact of all those who participated in the test. Before DPR interview in 2017, my friend was contacted to upload his results. My friend who also participated in NLNG CBT in 2017 was also contacted to do same although both were not invited for the respective interview afterwards. Forget all these unnecessary analysis and assumptions by some of us on this platform and wait until you see a message of which specifically invites successful confidantes for interview before concluding. |

It is very possible for the cut off mark to be 75%. My old school mate have a friend who said that he got the NCDMB EH test questions a day before the exam. I thought the guy was joking until he sent the questions and confirmed them. That was after we have struggled to write it on our own. The most annoying part of it was that. the guy who got the question wanted to help his elder brother to write the test because he did not apply for the job. khaleesi: hmm. I got info from a friend within the week that ncdmb was preparing a federal character template and the list has 800 names. cutoff was 75%. I told her it was impossible that the cutoff is too high and now this. Well, lets see how it plays out. |

NOTE: President Mohammadu Buhari instructed all ministers to hand over to the permanent secretaries by 28th May, 2019 before the swearing in ceremony took place. Yes, Chief Timipre Sylva was appointed in August, 2019 but PMB was the substantive minister and chairman of the board by then. enoks: Mr. Sylva was appointed minister in August 2019, the letter is dated June, 2019. I'm sure that letter headed was printed at the commencement of that fiscal year and would ordinarily carry Ibe Kachikwu as minister and board chair(NCDMB), Who stopped being minister bare two weeks before the dated letter. I think it is genuine also for reason that every other board members name on the letter headed is correct. |

Have you seen it? That was how they conducted a secret Recruitment in 2016. During the cause of my training with NCDMB I met a friend who narrated to me how his brother got a job with NCDMB in 2011. In Nigeria, anything is possible. OlumineP: Check Linkedin profile of people from NCDMB, although i was surprised to see that some people actually started 2019 which there wasn't any open recruitment. Probably some underground quick recruitment at that time. But this advert is 2020. My opinion though. |
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: NCDMB 2020 Oil and Gas EH & GT Jobs by Bomshell84: 3:53pm On Feb 16, 2021 |
Guy, you pay attention to details a lot. Ibe Kachikwu left office since 28th May, 2019. Since a waiver was granted, it is only logical to say that NCDMB either did secret a recruitment in 2019 or decided to wait for more staff to retire so as to increase the slots to be filled by the new intake. PAJE: This letter is problematic from my observation. Ibe Kachikwu as of 2019 is no longer a Minister or stakeholder in the Ministry of Petroleum so wondering how is name is among the Board of Directors.
Secondly the request of the letter which is asking for waiver from FCC to advertise for recruitment which is a standard procedure is not what is obtainable in this current recruitment exercise.
On that basis I have my doubts about the veracity of the letter as regards this recruitment
My humble opinion. |

We should even be thankful that they decided to advertise this time around. NCDMB did recruitment in 2016. My friend who had connection with then Governor of Bayelsa state got it with ease. Then CVs were submitted manually and with recommendations from prominent personalities across the country. Lunex: I'm surprised they decided to call just 2000 Sha...and most times these agencies don't recruit above 10-15% of those called for interview, ontop all the slots flying around.. How many merit go come remain?... |

PETROLEUM TRAINING INSTITUTE? jasonex4: My school is under the DPR and as such usually operates the same way... There were some cases in the past of some staffs being sacked cos during promotion exercise it was found out that many of them didn't have complete WAEC results (maybe they entered through connections or maybe not through normal employment procedures)....
Some others who initially had incomplete results but were able to complete them were fortunate enough to be spared..
Hopefully this helps |

You can imagine. I find it hard to understand why most Nigerians like generalizing the thing(s) they have no idea about. There are thousands of NCDMB applicants out there who don't even know about Nairaland. khaleesi: A good friend of mine also did not get any communication for the second test. He scored 22%. I told him there was a second test and he should log in with his default password. He did. It was succesful. He saw the notice that exam would commence on 30th jan. Sent me a screenshot, he was happy. 2 days to the test date, someone in the whatsapp group I belong posted a screenshot of a regret msg. On the morning of Jan 29 my good friend chat me up. He was frantic. He could no longer log in. Try the default password again I advised..wrong password..try the new one too I said. Wrong password. He sent an email to Testmi..no response. He was obviously not shortlisted for the next stage. So, that you were able to log in and write the test without any communication doesnt mean it was same for others. If someone said they got a regret message or could not log in why should you insist it was a lie. You can only speak to what you know not for everyone else. |

This is Nigeria where almost anything/everything is possible. In 2016, four of my friends and I applied for the DPR recruitment. Four of us were invited for the aptitude test and the fifth guy was not invited. During the oral interview stage, only the fifth guy who did not take part in the CBT and I were invited. That was a SHOCKER of the year. Gartol: my brother couldn't write the first test he was shortlisted for the second stage |

That's true. My colleague who wrote the first test with me on the same day was unable to write the second test as he was not contacted. Lunex: Nice break down but the second test wasn't a total rewrite Sha...my friend didn't write the second test...that's why I think there's something they used after the first test |
