Oga you obviously need education how the judiciary works

This is rubbish meant only at psychologically discouraging people

This protest tomorrow is happening because APC don't even know how to act on protest

If they had simply ignored it and allowed it .. Trust me it would have died down

You guys make a mess of everything

There would be protest on the streets of Lagos and Abuja tomorrow and there is absolutely nothing anyone can do to stop it

If you guys attempt to force those protesters it would make it grow far more the next day

Anybody can protest, they are only preparing a legal ground to prosecute and incarcerate any scapegoat.

Throwback:
This has become a tit for tat matter.

All I know is that the occupying Israeli refugees do not deserve to live in peace if the Arab owners of the land are not living in peace also.

You cannot come as well documented refugees from Poland, Russia, Germany, and begin to make live miserable for the Arabs who have occupued Palestine as the majority since the 6th century.

All of the first 8 Prime Ministers of Israel, from Ben Gurion, Menachem Begin, Golda Meir, etc were all born outside of Palestine.

Even the current Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu's father migrated from Poland to Palestine, and changed his Polish surname from Mileikowsky to Netanyahu.

Meanwhile, Yasser Arafat who lead the Palestine Liberation Organisation (PLO), to oppose the Israeli state existing on Palestinian land, could trace his heritage in Palestine to many centuries in history.

Imagine that up till the 1919 census of Palestine, less than 12% of all of Palestine was Jewish, and that was despite that there was already a wave of Jewish refugees who had already begun arriving in Palestine to effect their Zionism agenda to return to a land the Romans had kicked them out of almost 2000 years ago.

The same land that the Bible records all the genocide against women and children that the Hebrews committed just to occupy for themselves.

I repeat, as long as Palestinians live like dogs on their own land because of Refugee Jews who were escaping war and persecution in Europe, the children of those refugee Jews should never have the luxury of sleeping with their 2 eyes closed.

I said it, and I am a Christian.

See the pictures below of Jewish refugees begging to be allowed onto Palestine that was an Arab dominated region.

Even the British who exercised the controlling mandate over Palestine, became cautious to allow so many Jews come into Palestine in the early 20th century that they knew was dominated by Arabs since the 6th Century.

I am happy you said you are a Christian.
Now, try reading from Abraham so you will understand the Exodus and Canaan.

And answer genuinely:
If you are a father and someone you can beat up gets into your house and rapes your daughter and abducts some other kids, what would you do?

Health / Re: Am I Infected With HIV?? by bomsilaga(m): 7:42pm On Jul 16
ronet2:
Hello everyone,

I need some advice from medical persons on a possible exposure to HIV.

What is the probability of contracting HIV infection after protected sex with condom and washing of the genitals with soap and water.
So the story..
I had a one off sex with a lady on May 4th 2024 with condom. No oral,no kissing. After ejaculation,I removed the condom carefully, their was no condom tear/bust and went to the bathroom to wash off with soap and water ( i did not wipe off with tissue before washing off). So on 28th morning,I woke up with vomiting, diarrhea and localized abdominal pain on my lower left. Had a very mild fever the next day and I was treated for malaria and I recovered, though abdominal pain persisted for a while. I tested for HIV at 30 days post exposure and it came back negative. On 18th June 2024,the abdominal pain returned with diarrhea, lower back burning sensation and low grade fever the next day. I carried out culture test And Ulcer test, some bacteria was found and ulcer was positive. I was treated for ulcer and the abdominal pain stopped.

So my fear:
1.Can ulcer alone cause the symptoms described above?
2. Are their other possible STI/UTI test I need to carryout?
3. Is it possible that while washing off,the reminant of vaginal fluid on the pubic area can wash down to the tip of the penis and hence cause infection ( note I did not wipe off with tissue before washing off, meaning i might still have sperm at the tip)?
3. Can HIV transmit this way?
4. What are my chances that my 4 weeks negative test will not change after 3 months?

From wide search,I learnt that HIV 2 which is predominant in west Africa is a bit harder to transmit.

I'm still experiencing intermittent abdominal pain, burning sensation.

Thanks. 🙏 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

Might just be your mind playing games on you. I had a similar experience long ago and later found out it was all due to my system reacting to a smelly "food" I ate.

Always, only have sex with clean girls and abstain altogether maybe
Romance / Re: My Sales Girl Is About To Crash My Relationship by bomsilaga(m): 11:20pm On Jul 11

Hello nairalanders!
I seek your opinion concerning this situation I find myself in.

I have been in a relationship with my fiancée for 3 yrs already to which she is pregnant for me at the moment! Though we have been together enjoying our relationship until recently I employed a new sales representative which is getting me confused.

Since the day I employed my sales girl, she had been handling my business perfectly even while I wasn’t around, she always defends me well, though I pay her well for this, but she had been managing the business like hers and she makes good return daily, besides she is also a good girl in management.

The relationship I have with my fiancée is getting to marriage soon but I feel recently am making a bad choice even though she is pregnant for me.

Recently, my sales girl profess love to me by telling me she really loves me and she has falling in love already, this makes her get pained seeing me and my fiancée together.
I had to explain to her that, I am the kind of person that is very loyal to my commitment, if we had met earlier, no one also would be able to take me away from her, so by that, I love her, but it’s late already as me and my wife has gone deeper and breaking up isn’t easy at these moment at all.

Recently, I found out my sales is already talking to different suitors which at times gives me bad feelings which makes me confused at the moment if I may loose her and this will definitely affect my business except I find someone better also.

You are not confused, you just want to eat your cake and find it in the fridges again.

Stop touching your sales girl, it will do you a lot of good.
For her to tell you such means you both have gone beyond the master-servant relationship.

Just know we can't eat all in the world, at some point you got to let some go.

Cheers

You didn't even read the post I guess, probably jump around comment section to have a gaze of the event. Read again, it was clearly stated he lied to his parents he'll be spending the night at a friend's house.
So If he didn't tell them he'll be home to pass the night, the parent just whispered 'yea' you believe?
What parent will be so numb to not enquire what could make him not spend the night at home?
Like I said, he told them something, but he told them a lie. Even if the parents succumb to it, they succumbed to a lie. So, HE LIED.

If this is all your comeback, then all I can say is, "Oya, you win"

salem1996:

Nope, report said he LIED to his parents he was spending the night at a friend's place.

They are two things entirely. The parents probably knows his friends and thought it could be any of them.
Secondly, just because he told them and left doesn't mean they consented. Their law permits moving out without agreements between child and parents.

Do not derail the argument.
It was about him not telling his parents he would not be spending the night at home. Lying means he told his parents something before he was allowed to leave.

The fact is that your guardian consented to it. Again, your guardian was concerned about your safety even as he lived close to your friend's house.

In the case of the fifteen-year-old boy in this post, no reference to his parents.

What are you pushing so hard?
The report said he told his parents that he was spending the night at a friend's and that is consent from the parents.

Phones / Re: What Happened After I Bought Nokia 6300 At Wuse Market by bomsilaga(m): 8:52am On May 18
Flana:
When it comes to purchasing a new phone, we expect it to fulfill all the functions promised in the box. However, a recent encounter with a phone seller left me frustrated and disillusioned. I had been eyeing the Nokia 6300, a classic model known for its durability and simplicity, perfect for those who prefer a reliable phone without all the bells and whistles of modern smartphones.

So, I went to the market and stumbled upon a seller selling the Nokia 6300 at Wuze Market, old Bannex Plaza. Excitedly, I made the purchase, eager to experience the nostalgia of using a beloved classic.

However, my excitement quickly turned into disappointment when I realized that the phone I had received was not what I expected. Despite the box claiming that it was a 4G phone with WhatsApp functionality and Wi-Fi hotspot capabilities, the phone I received lacked these essential features, including the absence of Kai OS.

Feeling cheated and frustrated, I reached out to the seller, only to be met with excuses and denials. It became apparent that I had fallen victim to a scam—a counterfeit Nokia 6300 sold under false pretenses.

Reflecting on this experience, I realized the importance of being vigilant when making purchases, especially when it comes to mobile phones, at Bannex Plaza, either from the shop or along the road. Here are a few lessons I learned that I hope can help others avoid similar pitfalls:

Verify the Features: Before making any purchase, especially of mobile phones, always verify that the product you are buying has all the features you expect. In the case of the Nokia 6300, ensure that it is indeed a 4G phone with WhatsApp functionality, Wi-Fi, and hotspot capabilities. Please take all the time needed to verify those.

Check Before Paying: Don’t be afraid to inspect the product thoroughly before making a payment. Test the functions, ask questions, and ensure everything matches what was promised.

Ask Questions:If something seems too good to be true, it probably is. Ask the seller plenty of questions to clarify any doubts you may have about the product.

In conclusion, the seller refused to change it or refund my money. A lot of us love to see change in this country, but no one is ready to do the right thing.

Next time, unbox and place the phone in your pocket before you pay. DO NOT place it back in the box

If all men in the church when this statement was made, were all married to a woman, would there be a need to single out the bishop?

We didn't attend the same school, I have my own school that I attended, and you have yours.
So if I say I have my own school I attended, does that mean I was the only one in the school?

If I tell my friends I can't stay here, I'm going back to my own house, does that mean I'm the only one who lives in the house? Come to think of it, "my own house" doesn't even mean I own the house, it just implies that I have a legal right to use the house. So 40 people can call a house their own house as long as they're legal occupants of the house.

That's the lexical ambiguity I'm talking about.

Jesus never condemned polygamy, most of those in the bible who seemed to condemn it were the overzealous converts who were not even with jesus and tended to apply their personal beliefs in most of their teachings.

Some of the greatest icons in the Bible were polygamists, such as Abraham, Solomon, David etc

And they're all already in heaven while you are here talking about unimportant things like polygamy instead of focusing on the actual teachings of christ like repentance, forgiveness, love etc

Food / Re: ₦100 Akpu Costs ₦1,687 In Europe by bomsilaga(m): 9:17pm On Mar 01
UncleAyo:
Here comes another mischievous comparison.

This is the same mistake some groups are doing, by declaring Nigeria as the cheapest country to live. She is cheap if you're making money in other currency, not for the citizens whose earning is based on the #30k ($20) minimum wage.

Minimum wage in Europe is between ÂŁ500 to ÂŁ2571 (depends on location)
I.e. #843,500 to #4,337,277

Minimum wage in Nigeria is ÂŁ17
I.e. #30,000

2571 wraps: A person living in Europe will be able to buy about 2571 pieces of that Akpu with his/her month salary;

300 wraps: while a person living in Nigeria will be able to buy just 300 pieces with his/her month salary

Let's start using our brain before we make unnecessary comparison.

Someone in Nigeria make #174 per hour; which can buy only one akpu while

Someone in Europe makes about ÂŁ15 per hour which can buy 15 Akpu.

Don't stress yourself too much.
If exchange rate was $1 to N50, we won't be talking about this.

Career / Re: Is 400k Job In Nigeria Worth Staying Or Should I Japa? by bomsilaga(m): 12:24pm On Jan 03
Elsucre24:
I will be 31 this year. Omo the age is scaring me and I keep feeling like I’m not doing enough. I have a stable job in the private sector with a 400k monthly salary. But I still feel the impact of the economy badly. I keep asking myself, at what point will I start living the good live?
I feel stock sometimes because my job is very demanding and I almost do not have time to do other things, mind you I’m in the medical field and I work Mondays to Sundays most times but occasionally I have some Sundays to myself and sometimes a day off during the week. I can’t seem to be able to start a business as a side hustle cause most of the side hustles I can think will demand my presence at least for the first few months and I don’t really have that.
My girlfriend is pregnant, I really wanna keep it but she’s not ready, I’m not even sure I’m ready. The only way she can keep it is if I’m going to get married to her before the pregnancy starts showing and I’m as confused as hell cos I don’t know if I’m ready. She has always been vocal of her plans to japa.
Now that brings me to the idea of Japa too. I mean, I cannot deny that fact that I’m scared of the whole japa stuff cos I don’t know what to expect. Economy doesn’t even allow you save as much as you should. Everything’s just seems very scattered.

Pls I need adult minds to advise me on what I can do.
1. Do I start a business, what kinda business can I start with at least 2M that will not require my full presence?
2. Do I start to plan my japa through the study route and just face my fears
3. Should I insist on keeping the pregnancy and hope that things start making sense? This means I have to get married tho.

Thank y’all.

Hi,
I am genuinely concerned about your case here.
If your medical profession is in MLT or Radiology kindly PM me as I may be able to connect you to who might help you move for FREE.
As for business you will do without your presence, forget about it as I was run down by family and friends and wouldn't even take a gamble with strangers.
Your girl is not the kind of woman that will make it easy for you, whether you japa or stay back. Sorry, it might sound harsh but in the current situation of things in Nigeria, a materialistic woman is the last thing you want by your side.
Also know that with kids, the dynamics change really quickly. The savings I managed to have would have multiplied x10 if I japa as a single person, so think about it wisely. Just 6 months or 1yr hustling outside Nigeria can give you enough money to take care of a family for so long.
