But too our uttermost surprise her manager tweeted this a few hours ago. Goldie’s manager,TeeJay who disclosed this in a tweet stated that it was untrue as her client was still hale and hearty and attributed the story to the works of her enemies.

Early this week, Banky W released the official tracklist for his fourth solo album ‘R&BW’ and just like we guessed, former EME label act Wizkid is missing from the tracklist.
The album features every other EME recording act – Skales, Niyola and Shaydee amongst other cameos which include rappers Lynxxx, Vector, eLDee, M.I, L-Tido, Sarkodie, singers Sammy, Rotimi and 2face Idibia.

Wizkid seems to have other plans too – after spending many weeks in the UK, he has released his first post-EME video, a new collaborative single titled ‘The matter‘ which features production from UK basedMaleek Berry.


The video opens with ‘Starboy Ent’ – the supposedly new label allegedly owned by Wizkid. There is no sign of the hitherto ubiquitous EME logo.

At this point, is there still any denying that both parties might have just gone their separate ways?

Many say the big determinant will be on February 15, 2013, when Banky W hosts his ‘The Grand Love’ concert in Lagos. Will Wizkid make an appearance or shun the concert?

Already, he’s told us he will be premiering another video ‘Azonto’ on that same day and will be performing at Julius Agwu’s ‘Festival of Love’ on February 16, 2013.

The US R&B singer, Trey Songz, will be visiting Nigerian for a lovers day concert which will probably see him performing hits like Heart Attack and Just gotta make it.

Organizers havent formally announced the concert, as preparations are still being made and other performers who will join Trey Songz in concert are still being deliberated on.

Other international acts rumoured to be coming to Nigeria in 2013 include Mary J Blige, Kelly Rowland and pop singer Rihanna.


Don't forget the Darey's concert which will feature Kim Kardashian Live in Lagos on February 17th.

EME boss, Banky W, has renewed his endorsement deal with Samsung Electronics West Africa, which his reps say is worth about N100m.

‘Banky and Nollywood star, Kate Henshaw will be the faces of Samsung Electronics West Africa Mobile Division. They will work together to raise awareness for Samsung mobile products, and ultimately contribute to making Samsung phones the preferred brand in the West Africa sub-region’, according to a statement from his reps.

Banky W has in the past been involved with Telecommunications Company Etisalat and Coca Cola Bottling Company, among others.

‘This is my second run as a Samsung brand ambassador and I’m grateful for the opportunity’, Banky W said in a recent interview.

For allegedly being in possession of 100 pieces of master keys, a Nollywood actress,Yetunde Akilapa, was on Thursday sent to Kirikiri Prison, Apapa, Lagos, southwest, Nigeria.

Miss Akilapa was on Wednesday detained at the Alade Divisional Police headquarters in Somolu, Lagos following a complaint lodged by a complainant, accusing the actress of stealing the 100 pieces of master keys found on her.

According to a statement written by her at the police headquarters, it was not the first time the suspect would be accused of stealing.


She said: “There was a day she came home to see my relative and when I opened her bag after she went to the toilet I found a phone that was later found to have been stolen. We seized the phone from her and returned it to the owner despite her denying that she stole the phone.”

When the case came up at the Magistrate’s Court in Somolu on Thursday, the police prosecutor, Inspector Anyanwu, told the court that Miss Akilapa was arrested by a mob that accused her of conspiracy and stealing of bunches of keys.

The offence, according to the prosecutor, is punishable under section 383, 516 and 517 criminal code of Lagos state.

In her response to the charge during the court session, the accused, who claimed to be trained by popular actor Abbey Lanre, said: “I have featured in about five films including Aiyelaba.

“I produced Bunmi Akata which I use a bunch of 100 keys to act. I am also a makeup artist.

“On the day I was arrested, a woman named Mama Ayoola, called me and said that I should bring weaveon for her. I did not know Mama Ayo Ola was not living at that compound. When I got there, I asked a girl about Mama Ayo Ola and she directed me to knock on the next door.

“ An Igbo man peeped from the door and said Mama Ayo was not living there. And as I was about going out, the mob pounced on me, searched my bags and found the hundred keys with the weaveon. They later handed me over to the policemen at Alade Divisional headquarters.”

The accused pleaded not guilty to the charges and the magistrate, Justice Mrs. E.A. Adekomaya, granted her bail in the sum of N14, 000 with two sureties who must own a landed property in Lagos, with evidence of paying tax to Lagos state government.

The case was adjourned till 12 March, 2013, while the defendant was moved to Kirikiri prison in Apapa, Lagos pending when she could perfect her bail conditions

Human tongue, an arm and a woman’s private part has been found in the house of an herbalist identified as Chief Dandola Owotomo aka Amuludun, in Ijebu-Igbo, in Ijebu-Igbo North-East Local Government Area of Ogun State.
Owotomo, 65, was arrested at his residence in Oke Agbo, Ijebu-Igbo in Ijebu North Local Government Area by policemen from Atan Police Division following a tip- off.

The man was picked up by policemen after his house was searched where a shrine was uncovered with fresh human parts. Police discovered a calabash in one of his rooms where a fresh human tongue, human palm and a woman’s private parts were kept in a shrine drenched with blood assumed to be human blood.

Meantime, residents of the area have begun deserting their houses to neighbouring for fear of kidnappers and ritualists in the area.

Beyonce opened the last night Super Bowl halftime show with an amazing live Capella rendition of the national anthem after which she asked with a laugh, 'any questions'? The first question she was asked was if she sang to a pre-recorded track during the Inauguration. And she said;


Yes. I am a perfectionist. One thing about me is that I practice until my feet bleed. I did not have time to rehearse with the orchestra. It was a live television show. A very emotional show for me.
