A woman just discovered that her husband of one year has been sleeping with her biological father.

A man (name unknown yet) was given fake dollar notes totalling $30,000 at the First City Monument Bank (FCMB), trade fair branch.

According to an eyewitness account who sent in the photos, the victim said he went to the FCMB at trade fair complex on Friday, September 11th to buy dollars but the bank didn’t have enough money, so an Hausa man he met inside the bank told him he has 30,000 US dollars and he followed the Hausa man to his office to collect the money. When he collected the money, they went back to the bank where he transferred the naira equivalent of $30,000 into the Hausa man’s account. Whe the victim got home at about 7pm, he was shocked to find out the dollar notes were fake but couldn’t go back to the bank.



So on Monday morning, he went to the Hausa man’s office and told him the money was fake, the Hausa man confirmed it was fake and said he bought the money from FCMB. They went to the bank, laid their complain, but the bank denied giving them the money.



The man started shouting which caused the security men attached to the bank to push him outside and poured tear gas on his body. He removed his clothes and started crying. The bank locked him outside while the Hausa man remained inside. People gathered and demanded the bank to provide the Hausa man and officer who poured the tear gas on the victim but the bank refused. People started protesting outside the bank and the police were called.



When the police arrived, it was learned the bank let the Hausa man out through the back door without people knowing. They took the victim away with their vehicle.

An Indonesian Plane carrying 54 passengers has gone missing in the Papua region of the country.

Officials said the Trigana Airlines ATR 42 aircraft was has 54 people onboard before they lost contact with it. 44 of the passengers were adults, 2 children, 3 toddlers and 5 crew members.

The plane took off at Sentani airport and contact was lost after 35 mins of take off.

Former Minister of Finance, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo Iweala had claimed while responding to allegations made by state Governors that she withdrew $2.1bn from ECA without authorization, that issues relating to expenditures are usually discussed at the Federal Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) meetings.

“Nigerians know that collective revenues, expenditures and allocations of the three tiers of government are the concern of the FAAC’s monthly meetings.” – she said while responding to the allegations.


Well, FAAC is saying that it has no power to approve withdrawals from the Excess Crude Account (ECA).

In a statement released on FAAC’s behalf by the Forum of Finance Commissioners in Abuja, the committee said that Dr. Iweala’s explanation is far from the fact and is misleading.

It said, “It has come to our notice the statement credited to the former Coordinating Minister of the Economy and Minister of Finance, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, that the Federation Account Allocation Committee approved the withdrawal from Excess Crude (Foreign) Account the sum of $2bn. This statement is far from the fact and is misleading.

“We wish to state unequivocally that FAAC does not have the authority to approve withdrawals from the ECA and, therefore, could not have approved the withdrawal from the Excess Crude (Foreign) Account the sum of $2bn.

“According to the law setting up FAAC, which pre-dates the ECA, it cannot approve withdrawal and has not done so in the past.

“If anything, FAAC, as records of its meetings indicate, had often queried the activities on the ECA, and, therefore, did not decide any withdrawal.”

The statement noted that while FAAC had in December 2014 observed the withdrawal of $2bn from the ECA, the then Minister of State for Finance and Chairman of FAAC, Bashir Yuguda, had when asked during the plenary of FAAC meetings of the respective months explained that former President Goodluck Jonathan gave approval for the withdrawals to pay oil marketers’ subsidy claims.

“It should be noted, therefore, that FAAC did not and could not have approved nor taken the decision to withdraw the sum of $2bn from the ECA.

“We would want to excuse Dr. Ngozi Okonjo Iweala on this misrepresentation because she was not in attendance during FAAC plenary and may not have been fully and adequately made abreast of every FAAC activity."

On Saturday night, Kanye West had a taste of what it feels like to be interrupted while on stage.

He was performing for thousands of audience during his Glastonbury show when a show crasher found his way onto the stage and interrupted his Pyramid stage performance before he was being dragged off by security men.



Before the show, there were over 130 thousand petitions from angry Glastonbury fans to have Mr West’s show cancelled but that didn’t happen, so comedian Lee Nelson took the matters into his own hands by jumping onto Kanye’s stage giving him a taste of his medicine after he famously interrupted Taylor Swift and Beck‘s acceptance speech because of his obsession for Beyonce.



Lee was dragged off stage and Kanye, like a true professional carried on with his performance.

In 2009, Kanye West interrupted Taylor Swift as she accepted an award for Best Female Video category for You Belong With Me at the MTV Video Music Awards, which beats Beyonce’s Single Ladies.

Oh dear! AFP is reporting that ISIS has accepted Boko Haram’s pledge of allegiance. According to the report;

The Islamic State group has welcomed a pledge of allegiance to it made by the Nigerian jihadist organisation Boko Haram, according to an audiotape Thursday purportedly from its spokesman.

“We announce to you to the good news of the expansion of the caliphate to West Africa because the caliph… has accepted the allegiance of our brothers of the Sunni group for preaching and the jihad,” IS spokesman Mohammed al-Adnani said in the message, using the Arabic name for Boko Haram.

Itself a radical Sunni Muslim movement, IS has seized large swathes of Iraq and Syria and declared an Islamic “caliphate” there, and has also drawn expressions of allegiance from jihadists in Egypt and Libya.

On Saturday, an audiotape attributed to Boko Haram leader Abubakar Shekau said “we announce our allegiance to the Caliph of the Muslims, Ibrahim ibn Awad ibn Ibrahim al-Husseini al-Qurashi,” referring to IS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.

Shekau has previously mentioned Baghdadi in video messages yet stopped short of pledging formal allegiance.
But there have been increasing signs that the Nigerian militants, whose six-year insurgency has claimed more than 13,000 lives and left 1.5 million people homeless, have been seeking a closer tie-up.

IS spokesman Adnani urged Muslims to join militants in West Africa and insisted that the caliphate was growing.
“Our caliphate is resisting and it is advancing in the right direction. We are fighting the Crusaders and the rafidah (Shiites) and day by day the Islamic State is becoming strong,” he said.

He insisted that the jihadist group is “sure of its victory” regardless of the challenges it is facing.
For months, IS has been targeted with air strikes from a coalition led by the United States and suffered territorial setbacks in Syria and Iraq.

And Iraqi government forces have closed on the city of Tikrit this week in a bid to retake it from the group.

Dangote Cement Plc has announced a 41% reduction in the prices of cement, with the different grades now selling for between N1,000 and N1,150, exclusive of Value Added Tax. Now, 50kg of the 32.5 cement grade sells for N1,000, while the higher 42.5 grade will go for N1,150 per bag instead of the current N1,700 that both grades were sold for.


The new price structure was announced by the Group MD, Dangote Cement, Mr. Devakumar Edwin, who said

“We recognise the need for a dramatic increase in the response to the huge infrastructure and housing deficit in the country, and one of the ways of addressing the issue is bringing the price of building materials down to much more affordable levels, especially cement, which is within our own control as part of our contribution to the transformation agenda of the President Goodluck Jonathan administration and the attainment of key milestones in the Millennium Development Goals.”

Diezani Alison-Madueke's Sister, Osio Agama has been kidnapped by gunmen in Port Harcourt. 

According to report by Vanguard, Osio was abducted at gunpoint ‎as she was walking to her car on Tuesday night.
