According to a report from The Net, Dbanj has signed his friend-turned-foe-turned-friend Oluwadamilare Okulaja better known to the public as Durella.

The move might however not come as a surprise to everyone, considering that Banger Lee (that’s D’banj’s new nickname by the way) and the ‘King of the Zanga’ Durella recently settled their differences. Some weeks back, D’banj and his DB Records crew released a single ‘Ibadi e‘ off their compilation album (D’ King’s Men) which featured a verse from Durella.

Fans were very excited to see the pair had reunited after a very long and well publicized fall out between the pop acts.

D’banj is said to have bought bought out Durella’s contract from his present record labelIKONIC Music where the Pop act’s career has been in limbo since he signed in mid-2011 after ending his three-year contract with TC Records.

In an interview on the VOLT on Channel O TV, Wizkid revealed that he will love to marry the diamond singer Rihanna should the opportunity present itself.

Nigeria on Wednesday pledged a
donation of two million U.S. dollars
(about N320m) in support of
agricultural development and
conduct of free and fair elections in
Mali.
Vice-President Namadi Sambo made
the pledge in Brussels at the
International Donors Conference on
the Development of Mali, organised
by the EU, a statement by Malam
Umar Sani, the Vice-President's
Senior Special Assistant on Media,
said.
The statement quoted the vice-
president as saying that Nigeria had
so far spent 45 million U.S. dollars
(about N7.2 billion) on the ongoing
efforts to achieve peace and restore
normalcy in Mali.
He said Nigeria had also committed
moneys to humanitarian assistance,
rehabilitation, administration and
maintenance of military operations
for the restoration of peace in the
country.
Sambo acknowledged that
reconstruction of post-conflict-Mali
required strong international
support.
He, however, stressed the need to
identify the root causes of the crisis
and to take into cognisance the
diversity of the Malian society.
The vice-president pledged Nigeria's
commitment to the restoration of
peace in country.
"We are committed to support a
comprehensive integration of
Northern Mali through inclusive
consultations and dialogue that
would create opportunity for socio-
economic development and be
beneficial to all Malians.''
The conference, organised in
collaboration with Mali's transitional
government, is aimed at offering
financial and logistic support to Mali.
The financial support is meant to
rebuild post-war Mali under a
comprehensive development
strategic plan.
It includes rebuilding government
institutions and the military,
repairing damaged infrastructure,
organising presidential election,
holding dialogue with rebel groups in
the north, and stimulating the
economy.

For involving in gross misconduct bothering on corruption, and indiscipline, the Lagos State Government has sacked 157 officers of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA).

It was learnt that the dismissed LASTMA officers were dragged to the Personnel Management Board, a disciplinary organ of government to prove their innocence but failed to convince the board hence they were sacked.

The PMB, satisfied that they were no-longer fit in the service, while the Civil Service Commission issued sacked letters to the affected officers. It was further gathered that the sacked officers also had cases of corruption, certificate forgery, bribery and dereliction of duty leveled against them.

Source told SUN News the names of another batch of about 50 LASTMA officers had just been forwarded to the Personnel Management Board to look into cases of gross misconduct against them, as more LASTMA officers might be sacked in few weeks to come.

Nollywood star actor, Jim Iyke has opened up on speculations going round that he is in a romantic relationship with the Ghanaian actress, Nadia Buari.

Both stars have been seen around each other on many occasions in suggestive ways which brought about the rumour that they are dating.

Liverpool striker Luis Suarez has been banned for 10 games by the English Football Association for biting Chelsea’s Branislav Ivanovic.

The 26-year-old later apologised for biting the Chelsea defender and was fined by Liverpool on Monday.

The club, who have until Friday at 12:00 BST to appeal, said they were “shocked and disappointed” at the length of the suspension.

Uruguay international Suarez had accepted the FA charge of violent conduct but claimed his ban should be three games, the standard punishment for violent conduct.

An FA statement read: “A three-person Independent Regulatory Commission today upheld The FA’s claim that a suspension of three matches was clearly insufficient and the player will serve a further seven first-team matches in addition to the standard three. The suspension begins with immediate effect.

“The Liverpool forward had accepted a charge of violent conduct but had denied The FA’s claim that the standard three-match sanction was insufficient for the offence.

“The incident was not seen by the match officials and has therefore been retrospectively reviewed.

“Suarez has until midday on Friday, 26 April to appeal the additional suspension, above the standard three matches.”

“There will be shock on two levels. Firstly, from the club, the player and the fans at the severity of the punishment. Secondly, from across football because this is two games more than the ban Suarez received for racially abusing Patrice Evra.”

The ban covers their final four games of this season, and the first six games of 2013-14.

Suarez was banned for seven matches in 2010 for a similar offence while playing for Ajax against PSV Eindhoven in the Dutch league and eight games in December 2011 for making racist insults toward Manchester United defender Patrice Evra during a match.

French lawmakers has legalized gay marriage today after a wrenching national debate and protests that flooded the streets of Paris. Legions of officers and water cannon stood ready near France's National Assembly ahead of the final vote, bracing for possible violence on an issue that galvanized the country's faltering conservative movement.

The measure passed easily in the
Socialist-majority Assembly, 331-225,
just minutes after the president of the
legislative body expelled a disruptive
protester in pink, the color adopted by
French opponents of gay marriage.

Justice Minister Christiane Taubira told lawmakers that the first weddings could be as soon as June.

"We believe that the first weddings
will be beautiful and that they'll bring
a breeze of joy, and that those who
are opposed to them today will surely
be confounded when they are overcome with the happiness of the newlyweds and the families," she said.

The Central Bank of Nigeria has stopped the printing of small denomination (N5, N10, N20 and N50) naira notes in polymer because they fade quickly.

The Deputy Governor of CBN, Mr. Tunde Lemo, disclosed this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria on Sunday in Washington on the sidelines of the ongoing Spring Meeting of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund.

He said, "By the middle of the year, we will start to produce the second generation of lower denomination notes, now in paper and not in polymer."

"My plea is that Nigerians should exercise patience; it wasn't the fault of the CBN; it was just because we had to go back to the drawing board to rethink the 'Project Cure' in the light of the wish of the public that we should not go ahead with the N5,000 notes and lower denominations.

"We will correct that in the course of the year. Polymer certainly will be phased out. In fact, we are phasing out polymer.  No new note is being printed in polymer now."

"So, part of 'Project Cure' was actually to move away from polymer substrate to paper; unfortunately, we had a push-back because of the issues around N5,000 note and coins.

He said the bank would begin to receive the fresh notes from June.
