Late last year, rumour started that Ghanaian actress/model, Yvonne Nelson, was dating Nigerian singer, Kukere master, Iyanya, and broke up with him because he cheated on her with Nollywood colleague, Tonto Dikeh.

Yvonne never said a word since the rumour. She only wrote on her twitter handler "Thought you were the one but I guess all you wanted was to date an actress...There you go, enjoy dating the 2nd actress... movedon player *wink".

However, during an interview with Bella Naija, the beautiful actress admitted dating Iyanya and breaking up with him! calling Iyanya a LIAR.

The interview:

Sometime last year, you were quite emotional on Twitter when you supposedly broke up with a Nigerian music star. That incident has been shrouded with lots of cover-ups. Could you tell me what really happened?
I think it’s time my fans get to know the whole truth so I’m going to let it all out. I dated one person here, he’s in the industry. There were too many lies in the relationship. I found out a whole lot of things and I just felt like he took advantage of me.

Why did you go on Twitter to express your emotions?
I’m human, I’m not like a robot or anything. I just wanted the whole world to know what I was going through and I just wanted them to know that I was done with the relationship.

Did you actually break up with him on Twitter?
I didn’t break up on Twitter. I just tweeted how I was feeling that very moment.

I had an interview with Iyanya shortly after that Twitter rant and his words were “She didn’t mention my name so I don’t know anything about it. I’ve never told anyone that I was dating anybody.” Aren’t we talking about the same person here?
He would say that because he was wrong. His team is also trying to protect his fan base and I don’t blame him for denying anything. It’s him and his career, that’s OK.

How long did the two of you date and how would you describe the relationship?
We dated for 7 to 8 months. We had something and I thought it was special, like he was a wonderful guy but it was all lies. He had other girls and other things he was doing. Aside the actress that was in the picture, there were a lot more. That is how bad it is. We were in a relationship and he lied throughout and he was able to do all those things because I wasn’t living in Nigeria. But aside from the distance, I feel if you’re a genuine person and you’re loyal, you would still not do that.

Is this actress you’re talking about actually Tonto Dikeh?
I feel it’s disrespectful to start mentioning other people’s names. I am talking about Iyanya because we had a thing, I don’t want to bring in a third person. There were a lot of names that people know. There was a girl from South Africa, I’m not going to mention names but she was part of Big Brother Africa last year.

Most people only got to know that you and Iyanya were dating after you broke up. Were you deliberately being secretive about it?
I also don’t believe in putting my relationships in the faces of people. We both had our careers and were trying to protect our fan base and that’s cool. But if you go through my Instagram page, you’d see a couple of pictures of us together. I wasn’t shy about anything but he could not say he’s dating Yvonne Nelson because he had different people he was seeing so it was very hard for him to bring it out.

What did the experience teach you?
There are some things that you don’t get to learn in school; people can’t advice you, you won’t even listen. You just have to experience it to learn. I have no regrets that I went through it, it would have happened anyway. We are all human beings. We fall in love once in a while but if it doesn’t work out, that’s OK.

Have you moved on since then?
I have! It happened last year but I’ve moved on. I’ve been working hard, been producing movies. I still listen to his music, I love his album. I love the Track 1 with MI and I love, ‘I Got It’. He is a very talented guy, I always have goose bumps on my body when he sings.


Aside from the music, what else was the attraction?
You can’t really explain when you love somebody. It’s everything. It was just something that I felt and I can’t explain. It was love, I really really loved him and he knows that.

How do you feel about him now and what message would you like to pass on to him if you had the chance?
Iyanya is such an amazing person but I just feel he needs to be more honest and be a man of his words. It’s not good if he takes advantage of women. My Mum always says any man who takes advantage of women won’t end up well. It’s Karma, it’s going to come back to you. He should treat women fairly and he should be an honest person. It’s been a while though, I haven’t seen him. He is doing amazing things in his career and I wish him luck.

Kim Kardashian and kanye West have been careful to keep the name of their daughter a secret since they welcomed the baby on June 15th 2013.

But a nurse at Cedars Sinai hospital in Los Angeles where Kim Kardashian delivered the baby, has revealed that the name listed on the birth certificate from the hospital is "North" - making her full name "North West", this time not following the Kardashian's family tradition of first name starting with 'K', contrary to the previous reports by Mirror Uk that they have chosen Kaidance Donda West as the baby's name.

Kim previously discussed the name "North" before the child's birth during an appearance on Jay Leno, when the rumour started that the couple have North on the list of baby name insisting North wasn't on the list.

"North is not on our list. We have a list. Some of them are 'K' names, some aren't", she said during the interview in March this year. But E! News confirmed the will call the baby "Nori", short for "North".

A lot have changed with Kim since she started dating her rapper boyfriend, Kanye West - being able to keep something like this a secret, keeping the gender of her baby a secret until the official reveal few months ago, her fashion sense, becoming more responsible and all that. Good for her.

'Kukere' singer and MTN Project Fame West Africa winner, Iyanya, yesterday the 18th of June 2013, signed a whopping 60million naira a year endorsement deal with telecoms giant, MTN!!!

The N60million deal includes, appearances for the telecom's events for a year, performances, sign on fee, and commercials.

Iyanya was signed alongside five other artists - Wizkid, Davido, Praiz, Chidinma, and iMike as the brand's Ambassadors. According to reports, Wizkid signed close to 45millon naira while Davido signed close to 32million naira.

You will soon be seeing Iyanya on adverts and billboards anywhere you go! Congrats to all the Ambassadors!

Kim Kardashian gave birth to her first child, a girl, today, June 15th 2013, a month to her due date at Cedars Sinai hospital, a hospital of choice among celebrities.

Kim and baby daddy Kanye West, ducked out early in the morning because Kim was feeling unwell, according to reports, and was admitted in the hospital. Hours later, she delivered her baby girl. Her mum, Kres Jenner and Kanye was reportedly at her side.

Kim's due date was reportedly July 11, same as Kate Middleton's, but the baby seems to be eager to make her entrance into the world early.

Both mother and daughter are believed to be in good condition.

More evidence has emerged to nail the Central Bank of Nigeria's governor, Sanisu Lamido Sanisu for directing public fund to his married mistress, Maryam Yaro, an employee of the bank.

Premium Times accused Sanisu of abusing his office in order to advance his relationship with Maryam who he gave employment in CBN. The allegation which Sanisu's camp denied. Also CBN had sent a denial claiming that Maryam is not a CBN staff, but was employed at Nigeria incentive-base Risk Sharing System For Agricultural Lending (NIRSAL), and that CBN governor has no hand in her recruitment.

However, SaharaReporters has come out to say it obtained records to proving the CBN was lying. They said the NIRSAL to which Maryam is attached, is a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) set up by the Federal government through a partnership between CBN and Federal Ministry of Agriculture, and also the project is domicile in the Development Finance Department of the Central Bank of Nigeria.

Insider revealed that it is CBN's human Resource department that hire staff for NIRSAL and it is Sanisu who approves all recruitment in the agency.

Investigation by SaharaReporters revealed that after approving Maryam's hiring, Sanisu sent a message to her on June 25, 2012 saying; "I am in South Africa, I approved your recruitment last week."

Ten minutes later, Maryam replied saying; "You have made my day, thank you so much, let me know when you are back."

When the human resource department delayed in sending her appointment letter, Maryam contacted Sanisu to complain.

"I have not heard anything from CBN since you approved my recruitment. "Is there anything I should do?" She wrote on July 29, 2012.

Following her complain, Sanisu contacted the CBN's human resource department urging them to expedite action on her case.

8 days later, Maryam sent a 'Thank You' message to him saying;
"Allah nguro, I have been issued my letter of offer. Thank you so much. When can I come and see you?"
Some source within the CBN suggested that some of the documents circulated by the CBN were forged and back-dated as a face-saving measure.

Ghanaian handsome actor, Majid Michel seems to have joined his colleagues, Jim Iyke, Tonto Dikeh, Omotola and many others who have made a crossover into the music scene.
Majid was spotted with Iyanya and Ghanaian Afro pop group, 4x4 in a studio last week. Not sure what he was doing with the musicians in a studio though, but people go to the studio to sing!

Popular soft-drink company Pepsi has renewed Tiwa Savage's endorsement deal for more two years.

The announcement was made at Tiwa Savage's album listening party held yesterday at Wheatbaker Hotel, Ikoyi, Lagos.

A representative of the brewery company said they were impressed by Tiwa Savage's performance, having taking a chance by renewing her contract with them even though she is yet to release an album since her career.

Tiwa who is the first African act to sign a global deal with Pepsi said; "I feel honoured, thank you Pepsi".

It's unsure whether they will renew Wizkid's deal with them. Wizkid was signed with Tiwa Savage last year.
