Faith0:It is a projection. Some of it may be funded through loans. |
9jatriot:Fubara is a big mistake. |
A clear abuse of power. |
Misplaced priority. Nnamdi Kanu is where he belongs. |
Rufai is a charlatan masquerading as a journalist. |
Keyin:If the governor and his deputy have committed gross misconduct, why should they not be impeached? It doesn't matter what you think their motives are, the lawmakers are performing their constitutional duties. What moral justification are you yapping about? We are talking about law (constitution). Did they not list the grounds for the impeachment? So what is your problem? All these emotional lot. Smh. |
hush15:Go and listen to the APC national chairman. You are speaking from a place of ignorance. |
Ezmans:If Fubara doesn't do a 2nd term, how does that affect your life? If Wike didn't bring him, what would you have done? Mtcheww. Busybody. tonykel1:This argument is trite and unfounded. If Wike wanted an Ikwerre governor, he wouldn't have chosen Fubara and none of you would have stopped him. Stop making noise here with your raging emotions. This has nothing to do with tribe. Any reasonable person devoid of sentiments would know that there is a presumption that whatever Fubara was doing, his deputy was in support. Did you hear her say otherwise? Anyway, the grounds for her impeachment are clearly stated by the assembly members and not open to conjecture. Oko Jumbo and co are no longer lawmakers. Go and read the constitution. They can continue following Fubara around. Eriokanmi:I can never ask myself such a stupid question. People are different. Circumstance, knowledge and experience shape people. Did the ingrate called Fubara fight for power? What is the source of his unfounded arrogance? Cluelessness for sure. I don't know what some of you are doing in the politics section. Fubara is a clueless neophyte that was handpicked from oblivion and thrown into office by a veteran in politics. He was a civil servant. Fubara can never be Wike. Stop comparing a dog to a lion. You guys cannot make Fubara what he is not. You will only push him to his doom. |
richiemcgold:Not only Abuja big boys. Heavyweights indeed. Some of you are funny. In which state are they heavyweights? When did Ribadu start playing politics? How did his gamble in Kano emirate saga go? Hope Uzodinma, the Supreme Court governor as he was foundly called is a heavyweight? Umahi too? What a joke. |
RISQUE:Is there a serious political party in Nigeria? I don't want to type much, but you clearly lack the requisite knowledge to engage me in this topic. You are groping in the dark. When you understand politics, you won't be making this surface arguments. Alliances will be made to achieve the desired result. It is not about your feelings. |
This empty-drum of an aide has been all over the place lately. The fact is that Fubara has no defence to those allegations. He won't escape any panel unscathed. No governor can function without the legislature. Whichever way this goes, Fubara still loses. He is basically running from his shadow. This is what happens when you are surrounded by deluded sycophants and bad advisers. The gross misconduct will continue, as long as Fubara thinks he can work without legislative inputs and oversight. |
RISQUE:I'm not asking myself anything because I understand what the endgame is. You will be surprised. Politics is about interests. Politicians realign all the time. Should Tinubu betray Wike, anything to stop his re-election will be done. That is politics for you. |
RISQUE:You wish. Insult is the least of Tinubu's problems. Such a fallout with Wike will jeopardise Tinubu's re-election. Wike will realign. Politics is about interests, so Tinubu should not be hypocritical and sanctimonious. He did the same thing to Ambode. Fubara is a small fish. |
Long overdue. Time for these SANs to be held accountable. This is how some of them acquire illegal wealth. |
The crisis ends when this clown and his deputy are out of office. Unrepentant, lawless ingrate. |
Macphenson:How did he deal with Wike? By breaking laws and carrying out all the illegalities that the Supreme Court denounced? Some of you just can't make use of your brains. |
Shettima has nothing to offer and should be dumped. The pick was a mistake. |
Fubara wants to run the state without the legislature. He is evading scrutiny. Despot. |
This fellow is not recognised by the APC. Always causing nuisance. |
Mtcheww. That is the only thing they know. |
A rogue nation operating by the law of the jungle. Kallas and her Russophobic counterparts have gone silent. Carney was in China recently. Only a matter of time before the USA starts calling Canada a national security threat.
|
The terrorism and theft by the USA to maintain its hegemony continues.
|
PDPdestroyer:Our money is being wasted to rebuild it. That was the cause of the fear of impeachment. A despot from the onset. Edison Ehie and others who carried out that criminal act are still walking freely. Same Edison was on the private jet when Fubara went to France to meet Tinubu. A governor who surrounds himself with criminals.
|
id4sho:How many years will this begging continue? Since you guys like singing their praises, rather than tell them the truth. Look at the comments here. Yet their roads are bad. Suffering and smiling. He will soon jet out again on our private jet to look for Tinubu. |
Just see what South Africa is doing to an ally. BRICS is an unserious bloc. |
garykoeman:Don't mind them. I recall seeing videos of supporters of other parties being assaulted and prevented from voting. |
Obi supporters are busy deceiving themselves in this thread. Someone who cannot clearly articulate his thoughts or vision for Nigeria. Obi doesn't inspire any sensible person. Even his record in Anambra is nothing to talk about. Organise a debate between Obi and Amaechi, let the people be the judge. |
By the doctrine of separation of powers as contained in the constitution, the court has no business interfering with the impeachment process at this stage. The issue of bad faith raised by the author is emotional and baseless. The grounds of the impeachment are clearly stated. It is only in Nigeria you see this type of judicial abuse. When the head of the Judicial branch in the state is helplessly corrupt, this is what you get. I was surprised to see that the court order restraining the Chief Judge was dated 16th January 2026. This is because on the day the Assembly commenced this current impeachment, a senior staff member of the Rivers State judiciary was quoted as a source in a news report that there was an existing order barring the Chief Judge. However, the order we saw was given yesterday. The judiciary is playing politics. The so-called Chief Judge of Rivers State has made himself a lawless servant of the governor and is bringing the judiciary to ridicule. |
Why can't government owned refineries also work? Nigeria would have been in a better position. This is why countries like China have the death penalty for corruption. |
When is the CBN going to look into excessive bank charges? Why are we charged quarterly maintenance fees for our cards? Very poor regulation. |
They know they are guilty of gross misconduct. Fubara will continue to battle with crisis and won't achieve anything. Whether he is impeached or not, he still loses. You can't run a state without the legislature in a democracy. Peace can only return with the departure of Fubara and his deputy. If that happens now, INEC will make preparations for elections to fill the vacancies. |
People deal with trauma in different ways. Life goes on. |
