Go through the grounds of impeachment as set out by the lawmakers and tell me which one Fubara is innocent of. He did all those things they outlined.

The Supreme Court indicted him and referred to him as a despot. Should a despot be allowed to remain as a governor in a democracy? The Supreme Court indirectly told the lawmakers to impeach him.

They know Fubara is guilty, hence why they are running all over the place. The legitimacy of the lawmakers has been settled by the Supreme Court. Any useless judge that entertains such a matter should be punished by the NJC.

As for impeachment, no court can stop the legislature from performing this constitutional duty.

I am one of those championing the viewpoint that if the Chief Judge decides to play politics as we are already seeing and doesn't perform his functions when called upon, the lawmakers should proceed with the impeachment process by setting up the panel.

The constitution is silent on what happens when the Chief Judge refuses to perform his role in the impeachment process. That is a Lacuna. The drafters didn't envisage the level of corruption now, and this current Chief Judge of Rivers has been quite shameless in recent times.
