This is the same failure of a governor that was blabbing about elections. He can't fix basic roads. Incompetent element.

A lot of the defections came at the peak of the PDP leadership crisis that coincided with when the LP, ADC and others all looked like they will not survive. Don't forget the mockery from Akpabio and even Wike himself taunting them about "who will sign your form?". Only for them to defect and now be facing opposition from multiple angles, including their former party and structures, most of which didn't defect with them into the APC

This is politics. If they didn't anticipate all these things, they have no business being there. They are truly politically lazy. There will always be opposition. They are only jittery because they haven't performed well and mishandled their primaries. They should sort out their issues and stop looking for who to blackmail.

Many of the governors were in better standing when they were in their former parties as far as their re-election chances are concerned because their defection was not popular amongst many of their supporters. Part of the deal that made many decamp to the ruling party was the assurances they got that all opposition parties will be destroyed to pave way for their smooth re-election. Otherwise, governors like Plateau, Taraba, Bayelsa, Zamfara, Akwa Ibom and many more would not have decamped. Tinubu failed to keep to his own side of the bargain by encouraging Wike to field strong candidates against them. It doesn't help their case that the ADC and NDC has also emerged to be formidable opposition parties in most states.

Are you sure there was such a bargain? I doubt it. If they were in better standing as you claim in their previous parties, why did they defect? People don't defect for fun. Tinubu couldn't have made such assurances because he doesn't control opposition parties. Most people remember how Wike at a point was battling for the control of his party. He succeeded without any input from those governors. Some of them were fighting him in the PDP. There will always be opposition. No President of Nigeria would make such a guarantee and I doubt Tinubu did that.

What I see is that these governors have an unfounded sense of entitlement because they know Wike now controls PDP and is working for Tinubu. But working for Tinubu's re-election doesn't mean his party won't participate in elections. Any governor who has performed well has nothing to fear. They can't blackmail the president with that. It is absurd for them to think they won't have opposition. No sane person will make such a promise.

The fact is that some of these governors mishandled the primaries in their states and should be advised to sort out their problems.
This is neither Tinubu's nor Wike's fault. They should be ready to make comprises or risk losing on both fronts, for those who want to go to the senate and still install their successors.

They are attacking each other. Those governors are just doing theirs behind the scenes. People should stop being cowards. Some of us observing the political space know these issues have been festering for a while.

Just because someone said he will support the president's re-election, you want his party to not have candidates for other positions in the various states, what kind of entitlement mentality is that?

These were the same elements that were backing Fubara against him. He is not even doing the same thing to them but they are already crying.

PDP candidates have the right to contest, whether those governors like it or not. Only a politically ignorant person will frame it as Wike working against them. They are truly politically lazy. If you have worked for the people, you have nothing to fear.

Meaningless epistle. They are fighting for their interests. Any governor who has performed well has nothing to fear.

You can trace all these ridiculous statements to tribalism. They don't want to tell the president and others the truth. When another tribe occupies the seat, they will all find their corrupt voices.

I would certainly listen to what the banker and economist has to say. He has the data to back up his claims. The man who studied philosophy has succeeded in manipulating his gullible supporters. He knows they are ruled by emotion.

A handover note is not conclusive proof of the matters stated therein. It merely indicates that something was recorded for the benefit of the successor.

See how they are bashing Soludo because of sentiments. So because Obi is an Igbo man running for president, he can say whatever he likes without his records being scrutinised?

IMF and World Bank mentioned again. A president begging for files not to be released in the U.S. can never protect the country's interest from Bretton Woods institutions. His only role is to serve their interests through his policies.

What is the benefit of this Commonwealth? We still cling to colonial rubbish.

The U.S. is the number one obstacle of peace in the world. An economy sustained by war.

Obi is just like other politicians driven by his interest to acquire power. It doesn't change the fact that Tinubu has failed and doesn't deserve re-election. I don't worship politicians. What I want is the progress of Nigeria.

When it was created, only about 20 people or less commented on it and it ended on page 2. Most of those who commented were not living in Anambra.

In 2022, APC data boys resurface the thread and take it 50+ pages for propaganda purposes.

Now tell me, over 95% of Anambra people say Peter Obi did a great job and they back that up with their support and votes.

It was not just Nairaland. There are similar complaints on FB and Twitter (now X). He had his shortcomings.

He is a Nigerian politician. His performance in Anambra was sharply criticised and documented, including on this platform. People are elected to solve problems. While it is good to save, it must not be at the expense of solving the problems.

You can even stay in APC and work against Tinubu. That is the current political culture which has benefitted him.

Tinubu doesn't deserve re-election, considering the level of hardship and insecurity all over the country.

At least with ADC, they will bring back subsidy, and everything will be fine again. Sebi that's their promise. Just vote for them.

The fact that this affords them the ability to borrow more cheaply does not mean the funds will be properly utilised. What has been the impact of the subsidy savings claimed by the government?

"It will take time" is the convenient excuse we will keep hearing until Tinubu leaves office.

We saw the Auditor General's report about insufficient evidence to support the billions in cash transfers claimed to have been disbursed as intended, and I am sure the figures were even watered down. Our money is being mismanaged and looted.

There has been a tremendous increase in the cost of living and insecurity everywhere, yet every day one fake agency or another is being uncovered. It is scandal upon scandal and the top officials go scot free. None of our existing refineries have been fixed. Nigerians are still in darkness. There is no constant power supply as Tinubu promised and made a condition for his re-election.

This same government was exposed for its nefarious deductions from the NUPRC, with Gbajabiamila at the heart of it. That one is ongoing.

They are incompetent, corrupt and deserve to be voted out in 2027.

Why are the reforms not being felt by the ordinary Nigerians? J.P. Morgan is interested in making money for its shareholders. If anything, this shows Tinubu's policies are tailored to Bretton Woods institutions and friends.
