You started well and ended abysmally. Which useless IPOB are you giving thanks too? Check up Nairaland and you’ll see the efforts notable Igbo put into that awareness right from 2007.

You people should be careful how you hype that demonic political group that plans to make all efforts worst than they met it. Instead of you to ask question and be enlightened you are giving glory to a scammer who only bask in the euphoria to gain followers.

How old are you if I may ask? And what is your academic status. I might forgive you if you are an illiterate, but a graduate should stop being spoon fed by things he ears. The same way you watched YouTube videos to ascertain the truth, is the same way you should make your research to know your ethnic group. Are you aware that Chinua Achebe talked about the Bonny/Opobo people in his Things Fall Apart, where they used Ikem for me but to the Umuofians it sounded like Bottom.

Keep time to educate yourself as no one will do it for you.
I’m in love with this post. Many peeps don't know the battle we fought when Ijaws when about fabricating Wikipedia to sought their fake narrative. The accursed Supleme Devil MNK nearly made a mess of all our efforts with his foolishness. Anyone giving IPOB the glory of our sweat is an animal.

Many of us fought long lasting battle both here and in Nigeria Village Square. God bless the Igbo nation.

Politics / Re: The House King Jaja Of Opobo Lived In Exile In The 1880's In ST Vincent by Bonesking(m): 9:19pm On Aug 24, 2021
Eastlink:
Now if we check Bonny oral history as told by themselves. This they also told the British. They left Ndoki through the Imo river to their present location in Bonny. Infact when they got there, they named the vast Island Okoloma. Okoloma is one of the villages in Ndoki. This tells you that the Bonny ancestors gave Bonny her name after their homeland in Ndoki. Okoloma might also mean several things in Ndoki.

Interestingly, Okoloma is the native name for Bonny just like Eko is to Lagos. And as those in Lagos, Bonny people still call their home Okoloma.

Consequently, the leader of the Ndoki people who led the party that founded this Island went by the name Okpara Ndoli. Okpara in Igbo means first son. Ndoli is his native Igbo name. So it meant he was the head of his clan. Again among those that joined him were Ndoki sons like Asimini, Opuamakuba and Alagbariya.

Opuamakuba = Opuama (Community cap) + Ka (Greater) + Uba (Wealth). So Opuamakuba in Ndoki means the Royal Cap of the community is greater than wealth.

Asimini = Azu + Mini meaning back of the water or the other side of the river in central Igbo. Azu is back in Igbo, like Azuka, Azubike and Azukiwe (Azikiwe). Asi is the variant in Ndoki.

Alagbariya is another name with Igbo meaning. Ala means land or earth. Alagbariya might mean Ala is stronger. Like Ahiriya a praise name to call something or somebody strong. It means one you cannot overwhelm or win in Ndoki, Bonny and Opobo.

So all the parties in the foundation etc are all Ndoki native names. All Bonny indigenes trace their ancestry to these men. These are the original houses in Bonny. However, a few house was created along the line to absord some hinterland Igbo slaves and also some Ijo migrants.

Asimini was the first true King of Bonny. He heralded Bonny greatness and till date his children have remained Kings. The house of Halliday and Pepple who ruled Bonny trace their ancestry to Asimini.
I applaud your efforts for discerning the meaning of the names of the Bonny founder. I have always known the Okpara Ndoli is Ndoki and Asimini by virtue of the Mini there, but I never kept time to dig deeper at the roots of the other names to find out the meaning that you got. I guess I was too busy connecting the dots with my local dialect which was why I found it hard to see it.

In all good job for this. Did you study language in school, looking at how you dug at the root words to find the meaning in Igbo? The names are truly Igbo to my surprise.

Politics / Re: Ndoki, Bonny, Opobo by Bonesking(m): 5:38pm On Aug 23, 2021

Only these groups should decide where they belong. Currently both fall under one ethnic group in Rivers state. Bonny call themselves Ibani while Opobo call themselves Ubani. And recently some of their indigenes have gone ahead to add Ndoki into that ethnic tripod. Ndoki might agree to other things but are cautious by the posturing of the hands of Esau but the voice of Jacob. The voice here is Ijaw backers from INC/IYC. And this began recently during the militancy period of Yar’adua/GEJ administration. A lot of juicy amnesty and ministry of Niger-Delta funds is being used by the Ijaws to expand their influence in the psyche of these people. And it's working as most of them are told what to do in INC gathering. Like the fake tales of Kolokuma-Opokuma origin. The IYC tells them that Igbo is foreign to them and that Finima Ibani-Egere is their native tongue. INC moles have infiltrated their Facebook groups, telling them to reinforce their Ijaw identity. For instance a lot of them are now told that the Isalachi and Ibolachi greeting is Igbo and should be stopped. Those with Igbo names are told to changed them to Ijaw names. The INC is using her IYC to target the youthful generation. And they seem to be falling for it. Most especially those from Bonny.

The Igbo contact that King Dandeson had kick-started through coming to the annual Ahajioku festival seems to have died down as Ohaneze-Ndigbo and other eastern organization seems to be clownish these days. Since Chinua Achebe died, the conference stopped functioning. You don't expect King Dandeson and King Pepple of Bonny to be trying to reconnect back to their roots by sending emissaries to Ahiajoku festivals each time while you don't play your part to counter the tactics of INC.

This might be partly blamed on IPOB. Why you might be suprised? Ever since the rise of Nnamdi Kanu a lot of functional Igbo cultural organizations died. Aka-Ikenga which was prominent in the South-South died and a few other organizations. That because IPOB deliberately distracted all efforts to build up on what was started by notable elders by continue her naked dance in public. IPOB brainwashed a lot of folks into Judaism and other shallow-minded dogmas like Arochukwu’s Chukwu Okike Abiama.

Uneducated historians who formed IPOB intelligentsia followed the part of Kanu the dropout to dish out two wrapper tales and fake Ubiaja gutter stories to landgrab those with no iota of Igbo links into a multi-ethnic Biafra. And they are other burning issues to talk about no one seems interested in except Biafra tales by moonlight stories.

What stops the Igbos from using their platforms to gerrymander like the INC/IYC? Ohaneze youth seems to be a PDP arm with no direction than to collect bribes from politicians. What stops Igbos from going back to the drawing board and re strategize like the Great Benin Descendants and the Igala folks are doing.

If a strong pro-Igbo platform is set up, one that can spread her tentacles into areas with Igbo roots a lot will change. Not preaching Biafra online or any crap by IPOB, but Igbo values, identity and history.

Nationalistic Igbos can actually create a strong Igbo National Congress or revive the Igbo State Union group for this purpose. Give elective positions to those in Opobo and Bonny positions in Igbo cultural organizations. Continue the Ahajioku festival by sending invitations to both Kingdoms, and also send your own emissary to visit these people during their own Nwaottam festival.

During elections in Rivers state, quit the Ikwerre non-interest voting stupidity. A lot of us have Igbo roots and need support not just the Ikwerre. Support the candidacy of a Dakuku Peterside or anyone who identifies with you and tell your town unions to educate their members to go all out to cast their vote with such person. These are the ways to go about it, rather than allowing clowns to distract you in burning issues that needs your attention in present Nigeria.

IPOB is a distraction
MASSOB is a distraction
Biafra is a distraction
Nnamdi Kanu, Simon Ekpa and other future clowns are distractions.
Your focus should be the issues that your race face in Nigeria, providing solution to solving them is a great way to show you’re aware of these things, instead of making noise online.

There are so many things that goes under the bridge that the scam cry for Biafra has blinded a lot of you from seeing. The earlier you lots open you blind eyes from one-way sentimental direction the better. I should not be giving you guys all these tips, but something it pains me to see that the smartest Igbos died before 1999.
I’m afraid all you said is the gospel truth. It appears only few Igbos seems to be driving home this reality. I’ve been following you for a while now and I’m impressed that a young man like you is still standing tall when other have lost their head. What even impresses me is that you aren't from the SE and yet your unwarring sense of Igbo pride is way greater than many of us who claim patriotism. Maybe our own patriotism is clouded with Biafra, IPOB or PDP I can’t really tell.

Nna remain blessed. But I’m worried about the trend in Igboland. Both youths and elders have lost touch with reality. Since the demise of Zik, our though process have been too sentimental. If we are not following PDP, we are always at loggerhead with others. I suppose MASSOB created by Obasanjo’s PDP has helped to cause that destruction both politically and academically.

My only fear is that the water has passed under the bridge. The sweetness of Biafra is too difficult to drop and focus on our pressing issues in Nigeria. Rather than focusing on uniting ourselves like the Ijaws are doing, and solidify that bond with our kins outside the South East, we focus more on chasing shadows. Truly, the smartest Igboman died with Zik. We keep losing ground everywhere, both politically and in territorially. In a space of time, we’ll lose ground economically too all thanks to IPOB.

Col. Umar hits the nail on the head. Nigeria will never remain the same after Buhari leaves office. Buhari's previous failures in the polls was the handiwork of spiritual forces who had premonitions of his primordial and regional leaninings. Only a similar primodial and regional southern President can balance the equation and bring back things to nomalcy.

By Emeka Ugwuanyi

Thirty-six (36) hours after Nnamdi Kanu was seized by security agents and brought back to Nigeria, and 24 hours after he appeared before a Federal High Court in Nigeria, not even one single international news media has mentioned his arrest or appearance in court. Are you not surprised for a man so well-supported by the world?

Where are his contacts in Israel, European Union, United States, United Nations; all those people and groups that promised him Biafra: How come that none of them has noticed that he was arrested by the Nigerian government? Think, if you have brains. Even as Ojukwu was about to get into war in 1967, the international press was already talking about it. Nnamdi Kanu called Ojukwu Biafra the Class of 1967 and called IPOB Biafra the Class of 2021. He compared himself to Ojukwu. But how come that only Nigerian media is reporting his capture? No one else knows him.

The problem is not really Nnamdi Kanu. The problem are the thousands and millions of people who followed him and believed him. They believed every lie he told them. They believed that Donald Trump promised Kanu Biafra. They believed that international security forces were following him to protect him. They believed that Israel recognized him. They believed that the United Nations was supporting him. That is the problem - that there are so many foolish people in the land.

When I merely expressed a view of caution, they attacked me. They called me unprintable names. They called me an ex-convict and said I should go back to prison. Where are they now? Since they liked me to go to prison because I dared to raise issues about their leaders, they must be rejoicing now that their leader is back in detention and will not come out in the next ten years unless he begs Ohaneze and the same Governors he insulted.

I said we are not ready for Biafra. And many did not understand me. I said that even if you gave us Biafra, we will not know how to manage it. And many thought i was joking. When I saw the mentality of those who believed Kanu, I knew that we are in trouble. The main difference between the Igbos and the rest of the country is that in Igboland, the uneducated rule. In Igboland, the uneducated think that the educated should listen to them and follow them. Every tribe has educated and uneducated people. The difference is that in other ethnic groups, the educated ones lead. But in Igboland, the uneducated ones want to lead. That is why even though the Igbos have the greatest number of educated people, they end up with the most uninformed choices because the uneducated Igbos want to lead. Otherwise, nobody who understands international system would believe Nnamdi Kanu's lies. No educated person would believe that President Buhari died and a Sudaneze clone is ruling Nigeria in his stead and only Nnamdi Kanu, the Igbo people's prophet, would know that in the whole world.

Somebody asked me tonight: What will the followers of Nnamdi Kanu do? I told him that they are like lost sheep in the wilderness without a shepherd. His followers will disintegrate. They needed a radio operator based in UK to function. Nnamdi Kanu's Biafra was solely an online country. Even his ESN was an online imaginary army. The biggest blow is to switch off that radio. Once he was not able to address them on that radio, they are lost. What else will bring them together. They needed the radio. They needed Nnamdi Kanu who would switch from a priest to revolutionary, to a war leader, to all manner of things. Nothing is left now. His followers know that if they try to run a radio like he did, they may face the same consequences.

Some people say I am fighting a fellow Igbo. I am only educating the fools who followed that blind cause. I am helping them before they hurt themselves more. They have hurt Igbo interest enough. I believe that with IPOB contained, the Igbos can now come together to pursue the best interest of Ndigbo. The IPOB distractions and disruption have caused enough harm to the Igbos. Hopefully, we can now reorient the Igbo youths and get more of them to use their heads in the future.
