Kastonkastroll: Don't worry he will explain himself better in court. Calling a president a criminal is like calling all Nigerians criminals. So make sowore bring his implicating evidence that will proof that Tinubu is a criminal in court! What is in a President, that he or she can't be called a criminal? Na una like this dey hype nonsense. |

Ofunaofu: Many have called Tinubu a criminal. The late legal luminary, human rights lawyer, and activist, Chief Gani Fawehinmi, also called Tinubu a criminal who deserved a jail term. So why is the DSS acting like this is the first time Tinubu is being called a criminal? They should rather arrest and investigate Tinubu. When Fawehinmi called Tinubu a criminal, many believe him, including those supporting him. That was when Nigerians loved themselves. Unfortunately, the same people are now singing Tinubu's praises due to filthy lucre. |

Analog95: Hello guys, I humbly need you all view on this. All my life I have always wanted to be a lecturer, so early this year (January, 2025), I finally got awarded PhD in Applied Mathematics. Though I had my first degree in Mechanical Engineering, masters in Applied Mathematics with specialization in fluid dynamics and PhD in Applied Mathematics with specialization in fluid dynamics as well. During my study, I run a tutorial centre and making cool money from teaching mechanical engineering and mathematics students. So after obtaining my PhD I started sending out my CV to people I know in institutions, though most are of the opinion that I shouldn't have switched from mechanical engineering to mathematics that it will give me problem.
Around January 2025, immediately after my PhD oral examination, my supervisor linked me up with the rector of a polytechnic to go submit my CV to him, which I did, and according to the rector, he told me that it is not matter of CV for now, because most people that he employed as assistant lecturers, they really don't have much to pay them and the governor of the state has promised that he will do recruitment for the polytechnic around March because of accreditation processes, so during that recruitment, I can be employed. Fast forward to March, the accreditation went on and I wasn't informed if the recruitment was later done (you know all this underground stuffs), so I later got my mind off the institution and look at for another university in other states which I was promised also that once there is directives to start recruitment, I will be employed.
On the 3rd of july, 2025, I got a call from someone from the polytechnic, telling me to come to the personnel department as soon as possible with my credentials, when I got there, he collected photocopies of my credentials and on sighting the mechanical engineering as first degree, he said which department do I want and I said mathematics and he said why not mechanical engineering where I had my foundation, so I said I preferred mathematics because since I switched to mathematics, I have published 11 academic journal with 7 of them Scopus rated in Q1, and I have also attended 7 seminars with certificate to back them up, and I have also been a member of the Nigerian mathematical society (NMS), so he said they will get back to me.
Since then I haven't heard anything. After a month, I made a call to the person that I submitted my credentials to at the personnel department, that I haven't heard from them and he said "sebi we are the one that called you ourself, the process is ongoing and once we are ready, we will definitely call you back". But I haven't heard from them still. It is almost two months now since I submitted the credentials and I am already losing faith.
I am just confused, could my changing from engineering to science be hindering me from getting a lecturing position? If it is, does it make sense to go back and obtain another master and PhD in mechanical engineering and just forget about the mathematics? Or just forget about lecturing and focus on my tutorials, meanwhile I make more than 500k monthly from the tutorial because it is in school area, but I don't want to be a tutor forever, not even with a PhD. From your write up, you stated you earnapprox. #500k every month. How much does a University lecturer earn, albeit one in the Polytechnic. You have a PhD already and a promising centre building lives and making impact. You are already woking in an academic environment and should be aiming towards building your own school, using that turorial centre as a springboard. You can also include services such as WAEC, GCE and JAMB preparation to your portfolio and begin to employ other hands. You haven't made any mistake, you are just not seeing the bright picture of what you are already doing. |

emkz: Mr Peter Obi published the above on his Twitter handle.
Several issues.
Reading Peter Obi's diatribe, it reads like he drew inspiration from the December 31st, 1983 coup speech of then Brigadier Sani Abacha:
To Peter Obi:
1. Is it true that our schools and hospitals are not functioning?
2. Is it true that Nigeria is not a functioning nation?
3. Peter Obi is no longer playing opposition, but engaged in acts of deliberate misinformation, mischief, gaslighting and intentionally deceiving the public. Tinubu visited Katsina for a security assessment where he addressed troops, commissioned a 24-km road, inaugurated an agricultural mechanization farm center and attended the wedding fatiha of the governor’s daughter. But Peter Obi deliberately left out other aspects of the president's visit and said he went to Katsina only for a social event.
4. Peter Obi's angst against the visit to Saint Lucia demonstrates he lacks an understanding of international trade and building relationships with nations. It would be a complete waste of time talking over his head because his biases prevent him from opening himself to knowledge. Here was a man who did not know what climate change entailed.
5. There are precedents. Peter Obi had lied that President Tinubu was implementing a budget that was not passed by the national assembly. He toed the line of Senator Abdul Ningi who had lied earlier that the 2024 budget Tinubu was running was not passed by the national assembly. Only recently, Peter Obi lied that Lagos State Government demolished property belonging to his brother's company. Only for us to find out that the company referred to was Next International, owned by Peter Obi.
What is the end game?
Peter Obi is convinced that Tinubu is occupying the position that belongs to him. His followers refer to President Tinubu as "illegal president". Peter Obi always talks about China, Indonesia, Malaysia and strange places. Let any of his followers enter those places and call their leaders illegal and see what would happen.
Attention DSS
DSS, you are dropping the ball. When three school girls were murdered in a since class in the UK, a lie was promoted that the girls were murdered by an asylum seeker that arrived on a small boat. Turned out the girls were murdered by someone born and raised in the UK. The truth only came out after riots, arson, destruction, and looting of public property by so-called far right extremists. We may have such far-right extremists among the Obidients who brook no opposition, threaten what doesn't align with their warped opinions, and wish death upon the children of those opposed to them. Remember how these extremists burned down Tinubu's TVC and the Nation and were heading to Oriental Hotel until they were told it didn't belong to Tinubu.
Peter Obi is attempting to rile up the right-wing extremists to take to the streets. Be cautious of the language he uses:
"There is no goverment."
"This is not a functioning country."
"Our country has become lawless."
If you are not aware, they are sowing seeds of anarchy in the minds of the extremists. They need an excuse to start fighting.
Contain Peter Obi. He is causing hatred and divisiveness in the political space. Perhaps he is bitter or depressed. Either way, he needs to be cautioned to play opposition responsibly. If your hospitals are functioning, will your president globe trot the world for medical attention. May Nigeria hospitals not happen to you and the 130 people that like your comment. |

Unfortunately, Peter Obi supporters that think news like this will help their Messiah to clinch presidency seat in 2027 are only dreaming. Because nobody see him as a solution to insecurity challenges in Nigeria except his confused brainwashed supporters. Tinubu stole his way to power; the least he could do is to provide security for Nigeria. You should hold him to that and not bring in Peter Obi to explain away Tinubu's failure and ineptitude. |
