Reading Peter Obi's diatribe, it reads like he drew inspiration from the December 31st, 1983 coup speech of then Brigadier Sani Abacha:



To Peter Obi:

1. Is it true that our schools and hospitals are not functioning?

2. Is it true that Nigeria is not a functioning nation?

3. Peter Obi is no longer playing opposition, but engaged in acts of deliberate misinformation, mischief, gaslighting and intentionally deceiving the public. Tinubu visited Katsina for a security assessment where he addressed troops, commissioned a 24-km road, inaugurated an agricultural mechanization farm center and attended the wedding fatiha of the governor’s daughter. But Peter Obi deliberately left out other aspects of the president's visit and said he went to Katsina only for a social event.

4. Peter Obi's angst against the visit to Saint Lucia demonstrates he lacks an understanding of international trade and building relationships with nations. It would be a complete waste of time talking over his head because his biases prevent him from opening himself to knowledge. Here was a man who did not know what climate change entailed.

5. There are precedents. Peter Obi had lied that President Tinubu was implementing a budget that was not passed by the national assembly. He toed the line of Senator Abdul Ningi who had lied earlier that the 2024 budget Tinubu was running was not passed by the national assembly. Only recently, Peter Obi lied that Lagos State Government demolished property belonging to his brother's company. Only for us to find out that the company referred to was Next International, owned by Peter Obi.

What is the end game?

Peter Obi is convinced that Tinubu is occupying the position that belongs to him. His followers refer to President Tinubu as "illegal president". Peter Obi always talks about China, Indonesia, Malaysia and strange places. Let any of his followers enter those places and call their leaders illegal and see what would happen.

We may have such far-right extremists among the Obidients who brook no opposition, threaten what doesn't align with their warped opinions, and wish death upon the children of those opposed to them. Remember how these extremists burned down Tinubu's TVC and the Nation and were heading to Oriental Hotel until they were told it didn't belong to Tinubu.

Peter Obi is attempting to rile up the right-wing extremists to take to the streets. Be cautious of the language he uses:

"There is no goverment."

"This is not a functioning country."

"Our country has become lawless."

If you are not aware, they are sowing seeds of anarchy in the minds of the extremists. They need an excuse to start fighting.

Contain Peter Obi. He is causing hatred and divisiveness in the political space. Perhaps he is bitter or depressed. Either way, he needs to be cautioned to play opposition responsibly.

If anybody thinks playing politics with insecurity challenges will stop the problem of insecurity in Nigeria they are only deceiving themselves. It will only get worse because opposition politicians in the future have seen a good way to fight the incumbents.

Unfortunately, Peter Obi supporters that think news like this will help their Messiah to clinch presidency seat in 2027 are only dreaming. Because nobody see him as a solution to insecurity challenges in Nigeria except his confused brainwashed supporters.

With the tragic incident that occurred in Ibadan today, 20th May 2025, where a 14-year-old boy lost his life during an attempt to enforce traffic laws, it's heartbreaking and unacceptable that law enforcement agencies in Nigeria (The Nigeria Police Force, FRSC, LASTMA, OYTMA and so on) are still chasing vehicles on the road. This outdated method not only endangers the lives of officers but also puts innocent citizens at risk.

In today’s digital age, there are smarter and safer ways to enforce traffic laws. Why not simply capture the vehicle’s plate number and send a fine to the registered owner via SMS or email, along with photo or video evidence of the offence? If the offender refuses to pay, the government can legally deduct double the fine through their Bank Verification Number (BVN). This would reduce chaos and ensure accountability.

This needless loss of life must serve as a wake-up call. We cannot continue to operate in the same reckless manner and expect better outcomes. The government and heads of agencies must take responsibility and embrace technology for safer, more efficient law enforcement. It's time to think forward and prioritize the safety of all Nigerians, especially our children.
