An Assessment Centre Exercise has already been conducted wrt to the position. It held in d second week of January. A very close friend of mine attended. It was a two-day exercise, in Lagos.

Do you know if it's in Batches or that's all they've got to do?

Where is the power to watch and listen to what he has to say.

If only he had fixed electricity, he would have won 2015 election without campaign!
Travel / Beware Of Pickpockets Around Iwo Road In Ibadan by booz(m): 1:31pm On Dec 22, 2014
I was traveling from Portharcourt to my village, but had to stop over in Ibadan to board another vehicle going to my village.

At a point, I felt someone lifted the bag I was backing, which made me feel my bag was weightlessness. When I looked back, I saw a guy in black round neck vest who faced another direction, in presence that he wasn't the one that lifted my back. At that point, he had successfully unzipped my bag and located my wallet. I knew he did it, but couldn't accost him because I didn't catch him red-handed.
The second time, he tried pulling my wallet strap, but all thanks to God, a little flap on my bag held it back.

It was when I boarded a cab going to Sanngo, I discovered what the guy had done.

They didn't stop there. They were foolish to have followed me on bike to Sango where I alighted, hoping they could finally pull it out. But they've forgotten it's from the same wallet I'll take my transport fare. I already had it in my hand.

As I alighted from the cab, they parked their bike beside the cab I boarded. At this point, I brought out my fez and put it on (an identity they were using to track me). At that point, one of them uttered the statement, ' na im be this'. Again, I couldn't raise an alarm, because I didn't catch them red-handed.

I had in my wallet, cash running to 15K, my American Express card preloaded with 20K USD, my atm cards and ID cards.

Thank God for the shielding.

Guys beware of guys in black round neck top.

It's now the order of the day in Portharcourt. The annoying part of it is that it's mostly done while escorting expatriates, thinking they are doing the expatriates favour or worse still, doing what they are paid for . This is the same set of people that will go back to their country and describe Nigeria as a lawless nation.

Hello Mr 'Sense', are you schooled at all? Read Nigerian constitution and see what it says about long term residence! Courtesy is far from you.

Lagos is no man's land now. So far a non-yoruba can serve as a commissioner in Lagos State, nothing stops him from contesting too.

Though, it's an anonymous social platform, but I think you should respect yourself. If you are one of those complacent with the situation of things, you should have just scrolled past the post instead of looking for cheap attention.

For how long will we continue to watch politicians who having served in one capacity or the other, contributed nothing to the betterment of their people? For how long will this recycling continue?

For how long will we, the citizens of this country continue to be voiceless?

When will we have leaders that will have the interest of their people at heart, without being power drunk?

I believe it is time for us, the youth, to stand up and take charge, not putting religion and ethnic sentiments ahead of the goal of achieving the best Nigeria can be.

When I saw the results of all the political parties' primaries results, my heart bled. My fellow citizens, as far as 2015 governance is concerned, there won't be any positive change till 2019, because it's the same group of people that are coming back to contest. We are in for a rat race.

Two terms governors, former house of rep members, state of assembly members, commissioners, ministers, all vying for Senatorial seat. Former senators for governorship seat. No fresh blood!

It's time for us, the youth to take our future into our hands!

I stand for Revolution!

Art, Graphics & Video / Re: Difference Between SLR And DSLR/ Canon Or Nikkon by booz(m): 6:56pm On Dec 02, 2014
VillageBoi:
You are aware of the biggest difference right? SLR cameras use actual rolls of film and DSLR cameras are the 'digital' version of SLRs and capture images to SD cards, CF cards and so on.

First of all are you able to buy rolls of film and get them developed? I would assume that's not too easy in this day and age and will cost a bit of money.
With a DSLR you can see your image immediately on the back screen, you can delete and retake as many times as you want. With an SLR if your film is '36'... you take 36 shots and that's it... done, kaput... no going back.

Personally, no one really should be thinking about Single Lens Reflex cameras. As for the 'digital' versions both Canon and Nikon are good. Get yourself whatever you can afford and a couple of lenses. Maybe the general stock lens; that could be 18-55mm or 18-135mm and a cheap prime like the 50mm f1.8. (a 50mm f1.4 is better but costs many times more than the f1.8 lenses)

That's basic starter and then grow from there. Good luck with everything.

Thanks a lot, your comment was a good eye opener and has informed my choice. Come o, you sounded like a photography professional, are you one?
Phones / Is Glo Messing With It's Customers? by booz(m): 5:11pm On Dec 02, 2014
Did anybody notice this?

Glo G - bam package was originally advertised as 5K per second to 5 special glo numbers and 18K per second to other numbers irrespective of the network. All of the sudden, without any form of prior information, we found ourselves calling Our 5 registered numbers for 9K per second while others go for 15K per second.
Within a space of 2 weeks, it soared up to 11K per second to 5 special numbers, 15k per second to others, still without prior information.
And on a final note, today, it skyrockets to 25k per second to 5 special numbers and only God knows how much the call rate to other numbers is.
In a country that has laws?!
Could it be this is the 'Terms and conditions apply ' they usually refer to in their adverts?
Is NCC not aware of this?
Hasn't CPC been notified of this?

This is unfair!

Technology Market / What To Look Out For When Buying A Digital Camera by booz(m): 9:02pm On Nov 12, 2014
Hey house,

Can anyone assist on what specifications to look out for when buying an SLR or a DSLR digital camera. Explaining the meaning of the specification will be of great help too (Like 18mm, 18-50mm...)

What differentiates an SLR from a DSLR camera?

Does brand matter?

If so, what brand would you recommend?
