To the best of my knowledge, Bandy has been booted out of the cup. . . And so has chamo. . . Me i'm still in, but like i said earlier, i wish i was booted out as well so i'd focus on the main goal - Winning the league Earlier on, co-owners of FC Borat, Sheikh Abdur-Rahman Alzafzaaf and Sheikh Mohammad Al Jaberr had openly expressed disgust at our position in the league. They used the positions in the league of Reptilez FC, being run on a hopeless budget and Librans FC, with a notorious reputation for being perennial underachievers to drive home their point. They claim its almost exactly half the number of matches played, and 26th is a rip-off bearing in mind i'm the HIGHEST PAID manager in world football history. I've been given between now and week 20 to turn things around or. . . Omo wahala dey o. . . |

I find it very uncannily coincidental that MEND FC and SOOTING STARS have always been within reach of each other since i joined the league. Irrespective of the way a week turns out, they rise together and fall together You just have to look one or two places above or below MEND to see SOOTING and vice versa, Its been over 6 or 7 weeks MEND took the plunge, and sooting with him he has failed to establish himself and so has sooting! Somebody come and explain o! |

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL/UEFA/Int. Club Footie Poster Of The Year! by Borat1: 10:32pm On Dec 20, 2009 |
Cristalz: Dudes, there was a totally long list, trust me, and it got pruned down to the barest minimum based on the criteria I listed above. Didn't anyone read the first post?
Best poster means best overall, in everything, not just football knowledge. You guys are looking at it from the football angle only, I think. Everyone here has got sound knowledge, but some are more knowledgeable than others. Among those, not everyone has been consistent all year round. Not everyone sticks to the rules of the forum and respects other posters. Not everyone is proactive when it comes to the progress/betterment of the section. Some guys are only very sound in their club knowledge, but not generally.
I considered everything, didn't leave any out.
If we consider football knowledge alone, more names would be up there. If we consider club knowledge alone, a different set of names.
Do y'all get my point? Don't look at it from one angle, look at all the angles. That's what makes someone the best overall. The person has gotta have all of dem criteria above, in high amounts.
@Kit Our dear Debo. . .I didn't include him 'cos he didn't score high points for being proactive.
As for the long list, I spent hours compiling a long list, and hours pruning it down. Like I said, I did not pick those 3 names off the top of my lovely head.
Overall best poster has first got to be sound in general football knowledge, not just your club. Then, how you comport yourself as a Nairalander on this section comes into play. Like it or not. . .being the best is not just about how sound your knowledge is. It's more than that.
@Rasputinn Who is more knowledgeable in general football. . .you or Dayokanu? Criz all this one na long grammar. . OR are you Obasanjo that forced yar'adua down the throats of hapless nigerians Put up the list lets decide for our selves Clear the votes lets start afresh, we've got all day I'm not saying you pull down the list already there (Ibime is the strongest contender for POTY) Just add some more, at least ten Nateevs, Sauron and at least 3 gaynners should be up there too This your hardline stance tire me o. . . |

Anybody who thinks Sparky was sacked cos of his long string of draws needs to think again. . . This plonker was lucky to even be at the helm of affairs at the beginning of this season. His dismal performances started last season now? Then to compound issues he gets tevez, ade, barry, lescott and co and what does he do with them? I think he was told he'd be sacked irrespective of today's result and thats why he didnt even celebrate tevez's second. Mancini now has his work cut out for him. His defence is HORRIBLE! |

They'll either not even play 2. They'll get pulled out early 3. They'll come on late I should have booted him out today, but then again there's week 20 Lalaboi, Your team's a sham Merge with Librans FC and save yourself the stress! |
