sowore2019: An analyst of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC Mr. Fidelis Unongo, said he is yet to see a candidate capable of defeating incumbent President Muhammadu Buhari in the 2019 presidential election.
Fidelis spoke on a program which also featured Mr. Omoyele Sowore, the convener of Take Back Nigeria Movement and a presidential aspirant in the 2019 presidential election on Abuja based talk radio station, WE FM on Tuesday.
Ezem Collins, a public affairs analyst, Anthony Ehilebor, a Peoples Democratic Party’s analyst and a member of APC, Akeem Akintayo were also on the program.
Sowore and Buhari SaharaReporters Media Unongo said Sowore has to work very hard to fulfill his aim of claiming the presidency in 2019 because the incumbent President Muhammadu Buhari who is seeking re-election already had 12 million votes in the bank.
The analyst said, “I’m yet to see any candidate that will defeat President Buhari in 2019. If he is going to beat President Buhari in 2019, he is not going to sleep and I hope he is prepared not to sleep and really work hard,” said Unongo.
He added that President Buhari had always had about 12 million votes in every presidential election he had contested in since 2003, regardless of whether he wins or not.
He also argued that the Buhari administration had recorded some successes which will earn it additional votes.
According to him, Sowore must first look for his own 12 million votes to match Buhari’s guaranteed 12 million votes to stand any chance of defeating Buhari.
While faulting the claims of the APC, Sowore who is also the publisher of Sahara Reporters, noted that with the failures and inactions of Buhari’s government in various areas of national life in the past three years, the fabled 12 million votes are no longer a guarantee for him.
“I want to say that yes, President Muhammadu Buhari has 12 million votes that he takes to the bank every election, but that is minus the Shiites that were killed that is minus Dapchi people, that is minus Plateau, Benue where his herdsmen are running riot, that is minus Abuja, that is minus people who are not getting electricity water and people who have not seen any project from him. EmagNig: An alleged Closed Circuit Television footage of the Offa Bank Robbery in Offa, Kwara State, has surfaced on the internet.
On Thursday last week, gunmen numbering about 30 had stormed the town and engaged in a robbery operation that was reported to have lasted for about 2 hours without any confrontation from security agents across the state.
No fewer than 17 persons, including nine policemen, were killed in the robbery operation carried out
In the footage, a woman and her child were seen leaving what looked like the ATM house of a bank when gun bearing men started shooting sporadically from the major road.
Two men standing by the small house took off immediately they heard the gunshots, while the camera angle did not show what became of the woman and the child she was holding.
After that, three armed men were seen going around seemingly coordinating what next to do.
Smoke, which appeared to come from explosives were also seen after a banging noise.
Another explosive was later thrown into what seem like the small building housing the ATM.
Then the men went inside and came out.
The CCTV footage could however not be independently confirmed as being that of the Offa robbery incident as at press time.
The Kwara State, Abdulfatah Ahmed has however offered N5 million for information that will lead to the arrest of the perpetrators of the Offa bank robbery attack in Offa town. On Thursday, police officers and residents were killed when armed robbers attacked five banks and a police station.
In a statement released by the media aide to the governor Muyideen Akorede, Gov. Ahmed has reportedly promised anyone who has useful information to contact the state police command on the following numbers – 0803 739 1280 and 0803 236 5122.
The Police also reported that some suspects linked to the robbery attack are already in their custody.

I Eniolorunopa_Collins a 400l student of Agricultural Extension, hereby write to inform you that I'm done with education at this stage the school fee has gone outrageous.
Let me quickly hark back to how I do pay for the fee then, My father(a retired civil servant) & My mother(on and off trader) has paid for my school fee just once ever since I've started schooling. My sister and I struggled to pay twice and now that I'm almost done schooling it's so melancholy that I just have to drop out as there is no hope on this earth to pay for that exorbitant amount twice before I become a graduate.
I'm not laying emphasis on this to seek for help to further my education but to get you informed how I made it thus far,,,, where I come from? *From the Gutter*(that area where meeting up with 3square meals is a sin,, that area where you have to stay up late at night and wake up very early every morning to get going with the daily struggle,,,that area where laughter is wild and rare).

Danish man, Peter Nielsen, has been apprehended in connection with the murder of his Nigerian wife and musician, Zainab, and their four-year-old daughter .
They were murdered in the family’s residence at Ocean Parade, Banana Island, in the early hours of Thursday.
While the circumstances surrounding the incident were still foggy, the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Chike Oti, has confirmed the incident as well as the arrest of the suspect for murder.
