pryme: In the same paragraph you said "This is Democratic Socialism". I didnt know that lack of discernment is now a super power Bernie has blessed his followers with.
Pls ask your Canadian doctors if there is no Health care Black market in Canada, why do they run to the US for emergency surgeries? So you dont know there are ailments you dont get immediate healthcare attention in Canada? Do you even interact with Canadian residents? Do you think America is one shiithole like Nigeria that will salivate when they hear about free stuff even when they dont know how the govt will get over $30 trillion for free healthcare in the next 10 years? Did your crazy Bernie tell you how he was going to come up with that amount apart from Raising Tax by more than 40% Cutting Down Doctor's pay Shutting Down Health Insurance Companies Forcing Doctors to Work over time without pay Forcing every Citizen to pay healthcare they dont need.
And what happens to the Doctors when you take away their incentives? do you think they will stay? you just have to look at the mass exodus of Nigerian Doctors. do you think you will have more doctors?
Even in a shiithole country like Nigeria we have what we call "Family Doctors" (you must be living in cave if you have never heard of one), how much more millionaires like Bernie in an upper-class country like the US? Your crazy Bernie wants to take away all those Doctors all in the name of Free Universal Healthcare.
I dont feel sorry for Bernie, I feel sorry for you, that even as a neutral you cant read between the lines, asking you to do your research will be more like giving you a life sentence. Shift with your ignorance. Democratic socialism is what they coined in usa to describe bernie Sanders's European style plan. It does not mean those countries are socialist. I will not address the rest of your crap. |

pryme: Lol you are very very blind I mean horribly blind, am not surprised. Do you know in Canada not every disease can be treated in the public hospitals? If the doctors carry out a test they will decide if you get treatment or not, you simply go with they say, you can't go to a private clinic to be properly treated because that will be illegal wouldn't it? So cheap health care equates to proper health care coverage? Really? How many European millionaire have used the public health care system for crucial surgeries?
As for your communist claims of countries like Denmark here is the Prime Minister of Denmark calling out crazy Bernie and his followers like you that are immune to facts.
"I know that some people in the US associate the Nordic model with some sort of socialism," he said. "Therefore, I would like to make one thing clear. Denmark is far from a socialist planned economy. Denmark is a market economy."
https://www.vox.com › denmar... Web results Denmark's prime minister says Bernie Sanders is wrong to call his country ...
Turns out you know nothing. It shows that you are a local champion that hasn't travelled far. Please, tell me which illness cannot be treated by Canadian public healthcare system. You have read lies and propaganda from American sponsored news. I hope you know that there are many Nigerian doctors in Canada. Some of them are even on Nairaland. Please, let me shame you. Secondly, I never that Denmark, Sweden and the UK are socialist. I clearly stated that they are capitalist economies with socialist policies- Here is my quote again, as it seems that you never read: Born2Freak: Nigga, what Bernie sanders is asking for is what they have in Europe and Canada- a capitalist economy but with socialist policies. Government run free healthcare, government subsidized higer education etc. This is democratic socialism.
Please take a look at Denmark Sweden, Canada, UK Look at the bold. Say "NO" to ignorance. |

basilico: Simply beyond imagination that people here can suppprt socialism. Really reprehensible. Indoctrination Me thinks so. How many did totalitarian Stalin kill.. at home and Ukraine in orfer to break the peasants back. How many did Mao Zedong kill. How many did Fidel Castro kill. And Cambodia. And vietnam. And nicaragua. and Venezuela. For real socialism the powers that be must jave absolute powers and proletarians holloi poloi must have no say Seems like people just go to school to not learn anything There is a difference between socialism and communism. One is an economic system while the other is a political system. Most developed countries run a mixed economy. A capitalist system with socialist policies. For example look at UK and Denmark that have their government run healthcare system and government run schools despite being capitalist countries. You have a problem with communism. That is where Stalin and Mao come in |

pryme: Honestly it's difficult to phantom how people that claim to be intelligent could support a socialist system or a Government run country.
Can you point out one country that has successful health care system that is run by the government? Or anything for that matter? You should find out what happened to the Soviet Union, Cuba and Venezuela and other countries that tried government run state.
Will you send your kids to public primary schools or private schools, if you choose private schools, then you are a hypocrite like Crazy Bernie, that is pushing for free stuff for all but made millions from his book sales but only donated less than 10% of his proceeds to charity. I see that you suffer from the same cut of ignorance as losprince. I just mentioned the UK as a country with socialized healthcare system but you and your fellow ignorant brother were not sensible enough to go and research about the uk. Many of my friends and family go to public schools in the uk. That is both primary and secondary. Maybe you think it is like Nigeria where public education is dead. The top 10 developed countries in the world all have socialist healthcare system where the government runs the healthcare system and covers all citizens for free. Are you aware that the price of insulin in Canada is 10 times cheaper than that of USA? People in USA are dying because they are rationing insulin. Nigga, what Bernie sanders is asking for is what they have in Europe and Canada- a capitalist economy but with socialist policies. Government run free healthcare, government subsidized higer education etc. This is democratic socialism. Please take a look at Denmark Sweden, Canada, UK etc Edit- there is a difference between socialism and communism. Socialism is an economic system that put the means of production in govt hands while communism is the political system that gives govt total control of the whole country. |

losprince: So you are going to pull the what about card huh? We are discussing bernie here dude! Obama praising Cuba's education system and Bernie romanticising communism are two different things.
Bernie has literally praised every communist regime on the surface of this earth. The man is a radical hypocrite and I don't hate him, like I said before, I call his bullsh!t!
You're taking the sweet parts of Bernie's rhetoric and pushing it as the sole message he bears, which isn't the truth, if Bernie wants to make health care available to everyone (which it is at the moment, but he wants to stretch the extent so much that it reaches Cuba) while also allowing for the option of private health care, now that would seem okay, but no! He wants to go after the private sector, the whole thing should be government controlled, are you seriously going to argue that something fully run by the government is going to be as good as the alternative?
In a socialist setting, when you need something you depend solely on the government to provide it, while as in a capitalist setting, if you can work hard enough you can be self sufficient and independent.
I'd rather have a country where if I wanted to buy a loaf of bread I could go out with the money I earned from hard work and buy it, than one where I'd have to wait in line for the government to hand me one, and if they run out? then no bread for me. Typical Nigerian ignorance. Talking a lot without proof or sense. Learn to back up your points. All I would ask you to do is look at the uk. Bernie wants America to be like the UK. |

First 3 episodes were boring as hell. It got better towards the end.
I'm in love with the lady the casted as Quellcrist. The woman is almost 50 and still looking sexy. Damn.
Both guys cast as future Takeshi Kovacs are in their earlier forties and younger than her.
All in all 6/10. Season 1 was far better.

We don't even need any study to disprove such a stupid theory, examples abound of very intelligent people who are also extremely religious. I didn't say or the study didn't say that all religious people are not intelligent. What it actually stated is that intelligent people tend to be less religious. Study upon studies have concluded that intelligence and religion have a negative correlation. It is a fact. There was a time the Nicole Kidman, Jolie, Sandra Bullock etc, ruled the screen but they've aged and no longer in demand like they were before... Margot Robbie is the current 'It'. Why are you finding it hard to accept i wouldn't know Sexism and patriarchal culture. Women are mostly valued for their beauty in a patriarchal society and so, when they get older, they are less useful and will get less useful roles- they will only get 'old woman maternal roles'. Men on the other hand have other values ascribed to them apart from handsomeness. There is intelligence and strength. Tell me why Sylvester Stallone can still get mad roles despite his age and speech disability? |

...The New York Times interviewed a 39-year-old African American voter in South Carolina...I found his analysis instructive....He told the Times: “Black voters know white voters better than white voters know themselves.… So yeah, we’ll back Biden, because we know who white America will vote for in the general election in a way they may not tell a pollster or the media.”.... See guilty conscience! Why is the African American defending his people on Twitter by claiming that they are not low information voters? He is defending because intelligent people have made the claim that blacks vote against their interests. Just look at religion in the south. The same south that christianity was used to defend the enslavement of blacks is the christianity majority of blacks follow. Low info voters |

sleekdot: Shady sources?
All told, nearly 3% of Canada's population was waiting for some kind of medical care at the end of last year.
Those delays were excruciatingly long. After receiving a referral from a general practitioner, the typical patient waited more than 21 weeks to receive treatment from a specialist. That was the longest average waiting period on record -- and more than double the median wait in 1993.
Rural patients faced even longer delays. For instance, the average Canadian in need of orthopedic surgery waited almost 24 weeks for treatment -- but the typical patient in rural Nova Scotia waited nearly 39 weeks for the same procedure.
One Ontario woman, Judy Congdon, learned that she needed a hip replacement in 2016, according to the Toronto Sun. Doctors initially scheduled the procedure for September 2017 -- almost a year later. The surgery never happened on schedule. The hospital ran over budget, forcing physicians to postpone the operation for another year.
In the United States, suffering for a year or more before receiving a joint replacement is unheard of. In Canada, it's normal.
Just look at the United Kingdom's government enterprise, the National Health Service, which turns 70 this July. Today, British hospitals are so overcrowded that doctors regularly treat patients in hallways The agency recently canceled tens of thousands of surgeries, including urgent cancer procedures, because of severe resource shortages..
https://www.forbes.com/sites/sallypipes/2018/06/11/canadians-are-one-in-a-million-while-waiting-for-medical-treatment/#20090efa3e7d Again, fake news from an American contributor to an American news site about Canadian healthcare. The piece was not written by a journalist who did proper research and we can see the obvious bias. First of all, waiting times are the least of problems. Even American hospitals have waiting times. Secondly if only 3% of Canadians were on waiting for healthcare in the last year, THAT IS A F4CKING EFFECTIVE SYSTEM. Thirdly, note how the author uses Canada as a representative of all socialized healthcare systems around the world. In her own words- "Canada isn’t an anomaly. Every nation that offers government-funded, universal coverage features long wait times."How can she claim that this is true for all other countries with socialized healthcare systems? In the UK, the wait times are okay and if you are impatient, you can always choose to pay for the private healthcare which should be faster. The author of the article fails to understand that Americans have a deadlier wait time when it comes to healthcare- imagine finding out that you are not insured for a particular sickness or that a doctor in your hospital is not under your insurance provider: you now have to look for another doctor or plan to insure you. |
