This is socialized healthcare in Canada

TORONTO — WHEN SHARON Shamblaw was diagnosed last summer with a form of blood cancer that could only be treated with a particular stem cell transplant, the search for a donor began. A Toronto hospital, 100 miles east of her home in St. Mary's, Ontario, and one of three facilities in the province that could provide the life-saving treatment, had an eight-month waiting list for transplants.

Four months after her diagnosis, Shamblaw headed to Buffalo, New York, for treatment. But it was too late. She died at the age of 46, leaving behind a husband and three children

Ontario, the country's most populous province, provides a good example. The three hospitals that use stem-cell therapy to treat patients with blood disorders and aggressive cancers like the one that Sharon Shamblaw battled are unable to keep up with the soaring demand. So patients are sent to medical facilities in Buffalo, Cleveland, Ohio, and Detroit, Michigan, for the potentially life-saving treatment.

So this fantastic Canada healthcare cannot care for its people that it sends them Southwards to the evil US

Is this the type of healthcare that America wants?

Socialism is evil
Please, read your own sources- here is a quote from your own link;

The Commonwealth Fund, a U.S. think tank, released a report two years ago ranking Canada 10th out of 11 wealthy nations in terms of health care. Only the United States fared worse. The report, based largely on satisfaction surveys by patients and health-care providers, placed Canada last in timeliness of care. The United Kingdom was ranked No. 1

The United states of America has the worst in ranking of healthcare.

The uk ranked number 1. The uk has socialist healthcare system.

Now to the fabled Socialized healthcare

When they talk about this, they forget to mention about the wait times

Is it not better to have healthcare and be in debt than to die on waiting lists

Below are stories of Canadians who couldnt see doctors after months in Canada, many drive south to the US to get healthcare. Is this what America wants with socialized healthcare? Waiting months to see a doctor

https://torontosun.com/news/national/canadians-continue-to-leave-the-country-for-health-care-says-new-report

Socialism is evil
Fake news. Shaky statistics and unreliable source. The shady thinktank that conducted the study relies totally on donations. Interesting.

No source for their statistics.

Ogbeni I'm not talking about the UK but Western Europeans, Sweden, Denmark, etc.
What is the difference when it comes to healthcare?

Even not counting my travels around Europe, a lot of EU people reside in the UK.

Yeah I've never stood in line for days to see a doctor. That's not a bad thing.

"Oh no, I'm having a running nose, better run to America"

What am I supposed to say to you here? huh
First of all, in the uk there is both private and public healthcare. Everyone is automatically covered on public healthcare. If you dont like public one, you can always pay for private healthcare which is sometimes faster. Most doctors are on public NHS and so, even private doctors can sometimes recommend public doctors depending on the issue.

Now, if your illness is life threatening or an emergency, there is no line for you under public NHS care. And also there are waiting times and queues in American healthcare system, so dont talk rubbish here.

Furthermore, people go to Brazil and India from the USA for cheaper surgeries all the time. Do you see Europeans running to America for healthcare?

So the UK celebrates it's NHS is your rebuttal? Where they supposed to celebrate Nigerians healthcare system or what?

Even Venezuela celebrates their economic policy. No point arguing with a Bernie bros. Good luck in November.
You have never been to the uk and experienced its healthcare system. You wouldn't understand the might 9f the NHS.

I also pointed out how Europeans dont rush to America for healthcare

The education system has failed some people. Capitalism is the only system that has lifted millions of people out of poverty. China adopted capitalist policies and lifted 600m from abject poverty
Socialism is a precursor to pure communism. To rephrase communism is a system where the govt becomes too big, controlling the means of production.
Communist countries
Cuba
Venezuela
Haiti
Cambodia
Vietnam now adopting capitalist policies
Haiti
Nicaragua

Capitalism works where there is freedom of speech though. Where u can say anything witjout being afraid as long as its not libelius.

Ukraine under socialism had the oeasants back broken by Stalin. Millions died because big gov ordered all harvest handed over yo govt
What is this one saying?

First of all, Bernie Sanders is advocating for what many in the USA call "democratic socialism". His socialism is like that of EU countries like UK, Sweden or Denmark.

His kind of socialist is a capitalist economy but based on socialist policies like
-Government provided healthcare for all.
-free or cheaper access to education for all.
-a progressive system of taxation
-a humane or higher minimum wage.

Most of the countries you mentioned are hardcore communist countries. Communism differs from socialism. Socialism is more about economics and nationalising the means of production. Communism is the political system that empowers a government's total control of a nation, including the economy and means of production.

Furthermore, it was not just communism that was the downfall of Cuba and other countries you mentioned. It was corruption. It does matter what system of government you run- once it is corrupt, the country falls apart.

Yeah, that's why they fought Trump to a stand still when he wanted to secure the Southern border and even ensured that the government remained closed. Yes, yes, I'm sure they're not pro open borders.

Anyways, that's not what my post is about. Read to understand. The DNC will NEVER allow a candidate like Bernie that's for sure. They believe in Capitalism as much as the GOP.

Just tell me how the Clintons will sit down and watcch you take their money. They've killed people for lesser things grin grin

Why do you think TRUMP is 'supporting' Bernie? (Notice the use of quotes in supporting? Maybe now you'll understand its real meaning)
Trump is foolish enough to think he will easily beat Bernie Sanders. Trump has forgotten that he was the underdog against Hillary Clinton. In politics, anything can happen, given the right money and agenda.

The establishment Democrats do not like Bernie but they dare not cheat him out a second time. The party will scatter.

There are many like me who would vote for Trump if Bernie loses, just to punish the Democrats.

12 percent of Bernie Sanders's supporters voted for trump against Hillary Clinton.

Health care is currently crumbling in Europe because of the impact of immigrant 3rd worlders to their country.

European countries will foot the bill of a new immigrant when they arrive the country for two years before being left to stand on their own.

Socialism worked back then because European countriea were small homogenous countries with census, mean everyone was accounted for.

That's not the case now with the recent number of immigration sweeping across Europe, they can barely support themselves. That's why they're not as open to accepting migrants as they were before because it's taking a toll on their socialist economy.

Now imagine USA with over 300 million people from diff ethnicity and race. Socialism will cripple the United States, not like that's a bad thing. I think their rein should come to an end too.
One of the greatest economists, when defending Amercan capitalism said-

"Look at how people vote with their feet. People come from all over the world for American goods and services"

Please, do we see Europeans running to America to get expensive and convoluted healthcare costs? No.

Nationalised healthcare is no doubt expensive but it is not crumbling in Europe. In fact, the UK celebrates its NHS.

If anything is crumbling, it is the USA healthcare system where more and more people are drawn into poverty because of simple illnesses. Millions remain uninsured in America and you are ignorant enough to claim that European healthcare is crumbling. Keep repeating right wing fox news nonsense.

The only place healthcare crumbled a bit is in Finland and that is because the conservatives tried to privatize it and it fell apart.

Open borders have nothing to do with socialism.

That is more of a pro-immigration policy usually backed by very liberal or progressive people.

Champagne socialist has nothing to do with open borders

I pity for people that think Bernie will get the ticket. You think the Clintons, Soros and the DNC elites will let Bernie tax them for everything they've got? Hahahaha. Can any fanbase be more naive than Bernie Bros?

Bernie isn't gonna get the nomination

they need 'champagne socialists' - you know the ones who are for "cultural" socialism aka open borders, cultural marxism and intersectionality not actual socialists who want to tax their billions and force them to pay their wageslaves a living wage or go to prison

the DNC is run by corporations same as the GOP.

Or do you think America is an actual democracy and not a single party plutocratic oligarchy?

Just like you will never be as rich as they are, you can also never outsmart them.
What does socialism have to do with open borders?

Some people can type trash.

The evil of socialism cannot be overemphaised jare..It is just too much..even here in Nigeria,Osun state of Nigeria is the poverty capital of the south west courtesy of socialism done by the immediate past governor Rauf aregbesola..

They are the most indebted state in the southwest with absolutely nothing to show for it..They need a capitalist governor to turn round the fortunes of the state
grin grin

IS THERE NOT POVERTY EVERYWHERE IN NIGERIA, AND ESPECIALLY

Socialism is responsible for poverty in Nigeria?!!!

Nigeria that's lacks any sensible government programs? Nigeria that is uber capitalist?

You are the lucky one whose luck is about to run out. I will definitely debunk all your radical analysis. I can see why you fell for Bernie's rigmarole.
What about Obama's "rigmarole"? Did Obama not praise Cuban education as well?

Just admit that you hate Bernie Sanders.

By the way, if you have never lived in a country with nationalised healthcare for all, please dont quote me. It would serve you better to go and read comparisons of European and American healthcare systems.....or even nationalised vs capitalist healthcare systems.

As a Nigerian, are you not aware of the pitfalls of a capitalist healthcare system? If you get any form of cancer in Nigeria, you will be broke...except if you have pockets as deep as the upper class in Nigeria

Everyone of them bashing socialism have not lived anywhere outside the USA, I have lived in Germany and the UK and the social safety nets are on point. Folks ain't sleeping in trains and converting a whole section of a boulevard to a sleeping shark. Y'all save us with the American bullshiit mirage it's all f***king PR, many nations are doing better than us in all ramification, they don't need to go under to afford healthcare, while big pharm and lobbyists keep on buying our politicians and citizens ration insulin. In fact while in Germany, a friend from Ivory Coast was cured from liver cancer without paying a dime, yet, y'all wanna tell us how the rigged American system is gold, when a 9 - 5 MD state department staff pays more in Federal tax than all fortune 500 companies combined last year. Y'all save some of us that have experience how government works without greed from all these crap y'all are sprouting.
The one that pains me is that these people never read or learn anything new.

There are numerous videos of Europeans laughing and mocking US healthcare system. There are many health indices that show that america is not the greatest country in the world.

I will even campaign and vote for a Trump more than a socialist..America today is the greatest country on planet earth because of capitalism and nothing else..He should just go sit somewhere else
Spoken like an ignorant person that has never been to Europe or Singapore.

America suffers from poor healthcare and uber-expensive higher education.

Most EU countries have a higher standard of living than the USA.

Only ignorant people claim that socialism is radical. Just look at the whole of Europe- they practice capitalism with socialist policies. This is what is known as democratic socialism.

If better healthcare system provided by the government for all citizens is radical, the Uk, Canada and sweden are all radical. Having better healthcare and standard of living is now radical.

Ignorance is a disease.

People forget that a president has certain executive powers. People also forget that the Senate seats can also change parties. People also forget that establishment Republicans hated trump before he was president.

Ignorance is a disease.

Spambot got me.

Losprince. You are lucky. I originally posted links to show how Bernie Sanders's healthcare plan saves money compared to the current healthcare system in America. You can google for the study that supports Bernie Sanders's healthcare plan.

Just to show that you have no idea what you are saying, here is a video of both obama and sanders praising Cuba's educational and healthcare system. Also not how Sanders prefaced his speech by condemning the authoritarian rule in Cuba
